Online Harassment

I don’t post often. I usually just like reblogging and liking things because that’s my level of involvement with Tumblr at this point. HOWEVER

One of my friends (@selfcallednowhere) is the target of some vicious harassment on here, by people who are in the same fandom as we are (TMBG, if you must know). I’M PUBLICLY STATING MY SUPPORT OF QUINN I know Quinn. I know what is being said about her is bullshit. I know that it hurts her. I personally know how horrible it is to read/hear things about you that aren’t true and are, frankly, disgusting. I know how it feels to see people YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW say these horrible things about you. She does so many good things for the fandom (bootlegs, hosting chats, videos, etc) and it is shameful how some people feel the need to attack her. People she doesn’t even know are spreading lies they were fed by someone else. I even got an anonymous message about her, “warning” me about her, after I had tagged her in a post. Which I did not respond to or publish, because I refuse to repeat the untrue and gross accusations in a public forum. If you are someone who believes these things, please unfollow me. I don’t want anything to do with anyone like that. Since the TMBG fandom is not huge, and people change their urls like it’s going out of style, I have a hard time knowing who’s who. I don’t want to follow you if you’re part of this clique that has decided to harass my ACTUAL FRIEND. I don’t want to see your shit on my dash, and I don’t want to interact with you. You are a shameful part of this fandom. If you don’t like someone, fucking ignore them. We all have people we don’t like, for whatever reason - even people we are completely justified in not liking. Don’t go around spreading rumors about them and recruiting others to do the same. Don’t fucking start a campaign of harassment against them. Don’t fucking post a goddamn song about how you wish they would die and then tell other people to tag them in it. GROW THE FUCK UP.
