Such a great week at the 96th Annual Flintridge Horse Show! Placed 3rd in the 1.40M High J/Am’s, 7th in the Land Rover GP of Flintridge and 1rst in the Low J/Am Classic. Now gotta study for some finals and some AP exams! Phew!

I rode stubborn, grumpy Ganelon today. It’s been a long time since I’ve ridden him, and boy was he a challenge to keep moving today. Way more so then I remember. I was exhausted from trying to get him to walk couldn’t even get him to do a half decent 20 meter circle because he wouldn’t budge despite my constant tapping and urging. Well, we did get some leg yielding in, which he’s really good at, but it isn’t in the video. . Ganelon’s face in this picture says: “oh no you didn’t”, and that’s exactly how I feel after my visit to the barn today. I didn’t get to ride because the lift was broken and the staff didn’t want to try lifting me on D. He was all tacked up in a pretty blue saddle pad (blue is my favorite color) and everything, and I was excited to see if wearing gloves would help me grip the reins. This week has been anything but mishap free, and I was really looking forward to my ride. At least I got to give D and Ganelon some pats and treats.
