Y/N loves Garrett but he doesn't love her back
* This is my first Off Campus imagine! I haven't written anything in a very long time so please be nice! I am looking to write more so please send in asks or requests!
Y/N and Garrett are best friends, and she loves him, but he doesn't feel the same.
...
Y/N always loved Garrett, from the moment they met in middle school. He had curly brown hair and a big smile that lit up every room he was in. Y/N was shy but she was so funny and he loved that the most. Garrett always included Y/N in everything.
They stayed friends through high school and even went to the same college together. Y/N was a theater kid, and Garrett was a hockey player.
Y/N has always had strong feelings for Garrett, and she wasn't sure if he felt the same way.
Y/N knew she shouldn't have drank so much. She doesn't do well with liquor it always makes her do stupid things, like confess her feelings to her best friend.
" Garrett, I love you so much" She slurred as the drink in her hand was spilling.
Garrett smiled up at her as a small laugh escaped his lips. Of course he loved her, just not the same way she loved him. He always saw Y/N as a sister and always admired all her hard work. He cheered for her during her performances and even helped her practice several times backstage. He would drive her to her performances and wait for her, when he wasn't busy with his hockey career.
" I love you more, I think you're drunk" He reached for the beer and set in beside him, Y/N pouted.
" No, like I love you, 'm so in love w you Gar. I want to kiss you all the time." She had confessed
" I think it is time for bed; you are going to regret this in the morning" He took Y/N's hand and guided her up the stairs.
" You can sleep in my bed tonight and if you need me, I'll be right here on the floor. " He tucked her in bed and placed a kiss on her forehead.
" It's okay that you don't love me back." was all she managed to say as her eyes got heavy.

It had been a couple days since that night Y/N confessed her drunk feelings. Garrett had been avoiding her and she knew it, she remembered pieces of that night and when she realized what she did, she couldn't go back in time. Y/n was always planning on taking her secret to the grave. She didn't want to lose her friendship, and she didn't want to make things weird.
It had been a week later when Garrett knocked on y/n's door
" Hi" was all he managed to say as she opened the door.
" Oh, you speak" " You've been avoiding me for a week now, no calls or texts" y/n was pissed. She stepped aside so he can come in. His hair was a sweaty mess, like he ran here, she didn't live that far from the dorms.
" I'm so sorry. I've been dealing with some stuff and needed some space" He took a seat next to her on the couch.
" Don't you dare lie to me Garrett. It's all my fault."
" What is all your fault?" He asked, confused.
" I told you I am in love with you and I freaked you out. I know you don't love me back and I am okay with that, but you didn't have to avoid me"
He couldn't do it, He had to get up and get out of there.
" I am sorry, I wish so bad that I felt the same way about you. I love you but I will always see you as a sister. I need some time"
Y/N didn't realize that she was crying. Her makeup running down her face.
" I will call you in a couple days" Garrett couldn't look at y/n
" I'm sorry for ruining everything"
He didn't respond back, he grabbed his jacket and walked out the door leaving y/n in a mess of tears.
