With all this recent controversy in the Kpop world I think there’s something that should be said. Until facts are out we, as fans, should be careful of what rumors we spread. I’m not saying that the rumors aren’t true or that our hearts haven’t been broken by our idols that we trusted. But the guilty until proven innocent can be detrimental, just look at the Johnny Depp case vs Amber Heard. Rather than gossiping about who could be potentially involved we should focus on how to stay safe and understand the impact the porn industry has on what sex and consent look like.

I’m sure most of you have seen this before as girl code but it should be for everyone. Male, female, unisex we need to look out for each other. And don’t for a second think this is an issue that could never happen to you. In my hometown, Boston, a girl went out with friends to celebrate at a nightclub. This is not some sketchy place but a popular place that has good security. This girl left the bar with a guy and was driven to his home and murdered. She wasn’t drugged or too drunk but made the mistake thinking that everyone in this world has good intentions. So keep (girl) code in your minds as you go out.

The second topic that the media is glossing over is pornography. As a woman I do watch porn and I have my kinks and personal tastes. However revenge porn and hidden cams is not consensual. Even by watching them, we as a society are just as bad as some of the men in that group chat. Our silence and video views encourage that this is okay and normalizing sexual assault. Do you really think that pornhub or whatever platform doesn’t support these videos? You as a viewer have to report videos and always keep in mind that good porn is about consent and trust between individuals. So instead of gossiping about possible rumors let’s be proactive and talk about consent, sex, what is a health relationship, and ways to stay safe while partying.

The fact that senguri’s drama and a lot of shit has been going down in the k-pop community and I haven't heard about it or even cared to read about it until now gives me peace. It feels good to not be reading and talking about negativity.

My friend sent me this, this morning. I tried to read it when I first got up and couldn’t make sense of it. We talked, and Senguri is essentially announcing his retirement, and GD said that if there isn’t 5, there is no BB. 

This is so sad. This is quite literally the end of an era….the kings of kpop. I am nervous for them because many of the members have been placed on suicide watch, and they have always been able to build each other up, despite the hate. I pray they will pull through this.
