patience had never been a virtue she possessed. neither did she possess the ability to sit her ass down and stay still. which was why with the flight delayed for hours, she'd wondered mindlessly around every shop in the airport - before remembering she'd told her travel companion that she was going to get them food. finding the nearest food that looked decent, she took the food and walked back to the lounge, handing it over to the other. "it may be late... but i feel that's the reason i should never be a waitress."

noah never forgets a face. it’s a blessing and a curse considering she comes across so many people in her line of work and perhaps those do start to blur together. however, a blast from the past? someone who would’ve once never given her the time of day? she doesn’t forget that. she’s amused by it. especially with the look she feels like she’s been getting from her all evening. one of them has to bite the bullet and she decides it will be her. gearing herself up, she approaches the other woman with a casual smile, “i figured that one of us had to make a move eventually.”

"why are you doing all of this? being nice, feeding me, enabling my coffee addiction?" because at this point, she's very dependent on it. regardless, she feels a bit silly that the last few days have slipped past her and being away from her phone for that long apparently pulled a few alarms juliette didn't even realize were put in place. "you really didn't have to do all this."

"look who's here!" one of their friends announces their arrival, and reed's jaw clicks as he draws his lips together and turns around, hands on his hips and feigning casual and collected. since this is not the first time that they have been together since the breakup. far from it, actually. being around each other is nearly as much of a regular occurrence as it had been when they were together since their friend group prides themselves on regular meetups. reed had used up all of his excuses at the beginning, and now he is forced with confrontations like these. he lets the rest of their friends greet them, moving to the kitchen and pouring himself a stiff drink.

all the hunters from the region had gathered, the threat they were after big enough to need more manpower than usual. instead of being reassuring, it made adele even more nervous, having more people around than usual, especially strangers. sure, they were all in the same .. business, if it could be called as such, but that didn't mean that she trusted any of them. she'd managed to leave one of the meetings without being noticed, making her way back to the house when she heard steps behind her, body tensing immediately, senses on high alert as she slowed down. "who's there?" she called, just enough to be heard without anyone further down the road noticing.
