Hi, I'm kind of new to your blog but I wanted to ask, how did the boys establish a familial relationship with Cross Guild? How did they break away from being the government's living weapons & were able to form their own identities?

So the whole Cross Guild Dads AU takes place after an alternate version of Egghead where after the Seraphim, at least all of the ones who were currently active we'll get back to that in a minute, were bubbled the Straw Hats refused to leave the island without them. Particularly Nami and Jinbei because Punk Hazard proved the former would never stand by while children are being exploited by the government and the latter because he has such protectiveness over the child who was cloned for him. Which he honestly should have had a much bigger reaction to then his canon one which basically amounted to "oh damn, I have a clone now? That's weird. Anyway, where's the rocket monorail?"
After the original Egghead Seraphim were bubbled, S-Bat, S-Crocodile, and S-Flamingo were sent out next as they had just returned to Egghead from quashing various rebellions post-Reverie. Some fighting happened and all of them were eventually subdued and brought along on the Great Eirik.
Lilith was able to completely flush out the programming which gave the children free will. But because they had never gone through an official childhood, they had the genetic memories and battle experience of their adult templates, the intellect of six year olds, and the emotional regulation and low stimulation tolerance of newborns.
Originally, I had it so that the Strawhats all dropped them off at their various new homes, but since that would take too long and divert too much from their journey to Elbaf, I'm thinking all the Seraphim scattered and instinctively flew to places where they felt they would be safe. Except for Monty who wandered around the New World until he broke into the house of this one couple he liked a la the cat distribution system.
In the case of S-Hawk and S-Crocodile, they made a beeline for Karai Bari where Mihawk and Crocodile had to dust off their dad skills while Buggy feared for his life for about a month or so before he decided "these are my babies and I will paddle up the river styx on a floatie pizza slice for them"
And in all that time, the Seraphim gradually went from blank slates to copies of their templates to their own individuals with distinct personalities.
Now, remember when I said the Strawhats left with the active Seraphim? Well there was a second batch being developed made up of the lesser-known and more recent warlords; one of Buggy, one of Law, one of Hanafuda etc. They were still in their incubation capsules and deployed underwater as a failsafe when Egghead fell. These guys are younger than the og Seraphim, so much that they didn't even get their programming installed yet and were distributed randomly.
S-Bug, Nemo, got scooped up by the Red Force and dropped off at Karai Bari.
S-Leopard, Lami the only genderswapped clone, washed up on Monty's home island and is his younger sister now.
S-Mammoth's capsule was last seen drifting towards a foggy part of the New World sea where strange sightings of a certain gigantic pachyderm have been reported.
S-Rex's whereabouts remain unknown.

thinking over a lot of things and realizing very quickly the friend groups i went through irl all sucked. maybe they werent really as nice as i remember. Surely that breakdown has solved something for me
