writing the valyrians as black wouldn't make the situation better imo like sure it wouldn't play on the white saviourism, white ethereal beauties and other tired tropes but it would still be the same imperalist story. this idea that changing her skin colour for BLACK specifically suddenly giving her a get-out-of-jail free card just sounds so gross to me.

no, you’re right, i’m just referring to the white savior trope specifically, not the other imperialist aspects of the story. her white saviorism is like a top complaint amongst antis because she is depicted on a visual level as a white person teaching the savage brown folks how to live

Exactly. Sana isn’t perfect, if she was she wouldn’t be the main, if she was it would be boring af to watch a whole season of a fflawless character. People forget this. All the Skam mains face difficulties and they all have a hand in bad decisions making, but at the end they learn and grow. How will that growth come for her if she doesn’t change, if she doesn’t face what’s the matter with her character.

Yes I have a felling that is her lesson too. Be more open, be more vocal, don’t hide behind doors. Show that wonderful personality to the world. Fit her religion in all of her everyday life :)

i see what you’re saying but i don’t think she did brush it off easy. those insecurities about her place in winterfell never left her despite jons reassurance that she wasn’t a bastard. and jon knew that. “arya never seemed to fit in anymore than he had” and thats why idt jon would ever envy arya’s situation. he might with his brothers but he knows that despite being trueborn she’s still an outcast. like him.

HONESTLY you could make one for all of them. like instead of aegon iv? naerys, daena, elena, etc. instead of aegon i? rhaenys and visenya. jaehaerys i? nah, alysanne. rhaegar? elia AND lyanna. like I feel like across the board, the targaryen men are disappointing and the targaryen women are better than anyone else, and yet, and still, this fandom often ignores them.

right!!! although I usually see Sarella taking over Dorne, it’s still like........we don’t really know these characters the way we know Arianne. the other kingdoms are typically getting a pov character as the leader in endgame, except for the kingdoms that don’t have pov characters (Stormlands, Westerlands, Riverlands), and we already have a pov in Dorne. like why get rid of that?? and for what, the brutal deaths of some of the few poc characters in the series?? like hard pass.
