With the new…
@enigmaticseer asked: Hey, saw you were analysing sessions, and I had just recently classpected a lot of the main characters from a show I've seen, and would be cool to see what you think their chances would be. There's an Heir of Light, Witch of Heart, Knight of Blood, Mage of Space, Rogue of Breath, Page of Time, Bard of Doom, Prince of Hope, Maid of Life, and a Slyph of Void
You got it!
Classpect Breakdown
Heir of Light
The Heir of Light is someone who is either “protected by Light” “consumed by Light” or “protects themselves with Light”. And as we know from Vriska, Light is the equivalent to Luck. So this player would be incredibly lucky, Light protecting them with out them exactly doing it on purpose until they fully understood how to use their powers.
Witch of Heart
The Witch of Heart is someone who would “bend the rules” of their aspect, Heart. They would probably be better then the Knight of Blood in keeping everyone together. Witches are probably one of the most powerful classes in Skaia and Witches of Heart would be a really good morale booster as well as a good fighter, probably being able to use their powers to make the other team fight with each other. The possibilities for the Witch of Heart are virtually limitless.
Knight of Blood
The Knight of Blood will use the bonds and relationships they have created to fight for them, or fight to protect them, which ever action is necessary, but seeing as the Knight is an active class, it would more so be the latter. They will do their very best to unify the team and protect their comrades in the best way they know how. They will also try to get the team to grow stronger together and grow closer together as well. Knights of Blood will also be able to use blood to fight for them, maybe not like. The Knight of Blood, naturally, will help the Mage of Space with Frog Breeding.
Mage of Space
The Mage of Space is probably the best space player this session could have. Especially with the Page of Time. This Mage will have a lot of compensating to do because of the Page of Time’s inherit lack of understanding of time, the hardest aspect to understand. The Mage will benefit themselves with knowledge of Space and use their foresight to better create the Genesis Frog. So much so that they might not even need the Knight of Blood’s help so much to create it, or just make the frog even faster. Which of course couldn’t hurt.
Rogue of Breath
The Rogue of Breath will be a useful passive class. They steal their aspect for the benefit of their team. This could be in a number of ways, such as taking breath away from the enemies, effectively suffocating them, to benefit their team of course. The Rogue is a passive support class and they will be very useful if the team gets into a tight spot.
Page of Time
The Page of Time will be effectively useless in the beginning game, not being able to do much until they can understand Time and use it to their advantage. However, since Time is a very hard aspect to understand, they probably won’t be much use until close to the end game battle at which point, if they are realized properly they might be able to solo the final boss. He would just have to be realized and properly trained in his aspect. But until then, he would be effectively useless.
Bard of Doom
The Bard of Doom is probably one of the best players on this team, nearly ensuring success of this game for one reason and one reason only. They invite the destruction of Doom or allow it to happen. This basically means that they would be able to keep their session from failing, being a sort of shadow leader. Doom players are naturally selfless and tend to be surrounded by Doom, as seen by the only two doom players who have effectively nearly died or lost their minds trying to protect their session from the effects of Doom. The Bard of Doom might be doomed themselves because of their aspect, potentially sacrificing themselves if need be should the situation demand of it to save their session.
Prince of Hope
This Prince could counter the effects of the Bard of Doom making it nearly impossible for the session to succeed. The Prince of Hope may well be the reason the Bard of Doom would potentially lose their lives trying to save the session. The Prince of Hope is basically the Destroyer of Hope. They would actively destroy the sessions hope of winning, or any hope any of the players have of succeeding. They would need to be kept on a very tight leash, especially if they ever become fully realized. They could also potentially be the savoir of the session. But only if they have a reason to play nice. The Prince of Hope can literally rip the hope out of a person, and it probably won’t be painless. Take this how you will. If they have a reason to play nice, they could also probably solo the big bad of the session.
Maid of Life
The Maid of Life is essentially everyone’s extra life in the game, as eloquently put by Vriska when talking about Jane. The Maid of Life is the player that should be protected at all costs and it would certainly be helpful if they were the first to go God Tier as they would probably be able to save someones life, ensuring that if a God Tiered member of the team was revived if they died a heroic death during the final battle, or any battle leading up to that point. But there are two sides to every coin. They would only be able to revive you once, so you should still be careful and not waste the life you currently have or the one you would potentially get back should you need it.
Sylph of Void
The Sylph of Void is probably one of the more powerful Titles to have. Sylphs pertain to secrets, having and keeping them. And since the Void is nothingness this Sylph would probably be the most secretive player in this session. Alternatively they could also be the secret keeper of nothing, keeping no secrets at all. They are also healing classes as well and while they probably won’t be able to grant the players extra lives, they would be able to heal up any injuries before death, making them another support class that should be protected much like the Maid.
Complications/Advantages
There is one complication here in this session that I can see and that is the Prince of Hope. As mentioned before Princes are the Destroyers of their aspect, as Prince and Destroyer can be used interchangeably. The advantages that you have in this session is two possible leaders, The Heir of Light and the Witch of Heart. They are very strong candidates to make sure the session goes as it should. The other complication with this session would also be the Page of Time as they won’t have a very firm understanding of Time until close to the end of the game. They would need a lot of potentially useless protection until they realized their powers which might not even happen. Some player would have to be there to try to help him understand and may even need to smack him straight a bit.
Chances of Success
You’re chances of success in this session would be pretty high if everyone were to work together. And that’s an IF. This session would need a strong leader, either the Heir of Light or the Witch of Heart would have to lead this team with the Knight of Blood in the background helping to make everything work. Other then that, I believe the session can work. There is a strong team and a couple of great leaders.
Heir of life, Mage of breath, Mage of doom, thief of time, page of breath, thief of space. How fucked are we?
wELL
usually two of the same classes or aspects can throw the session into some deep shit
but it’s your session tbh so do w/e u want bruh
this page of yours is the one who needs to be relied on i think. mage’s are still an enigma, but many people say they’re like seers, but more active and experience full on. like for example, i’m a mage of void and many people who know that i’m quiet, introverted, and seemingly not listening to anything will say that i have no challenge with my role. but i do? and i’m affected negatively by my role. yeah, as a mage i have some advantages, but i’m still the same. i think my job is to overcome loneliness, depression, anxiety, etc. because i face those problems.
the mages can be very very vERY valuable teammates. did u see what sollux did, he did a lot of things like saving the trolls on the meteor even though half of him died in the process. like holy shit you go sollux. that also ties into the negativity of being a mage plus whatever aspect you have.
your mage of breath may experience many problems with things to do with freedom, direction, etc. now you will have to interpret why that’s their problem. are they oppressed? do they rely on too many people?
your mage of doom will not deal with the same things sollux dealt with most likely. try to spice it up a bit :o
your page can have amazING potential, but it’s practically almost impossible to realize your FULL potential. they might not ever realize it. and that may be the downfall of your session because thieves are very tricky.
your thieves have great potential as well, but they have to come to an agreement. they are most likely going to be selfish, but that’s not always the case. sometimes they need to learn to take things for themselves or, in vriska’s case, take what’s rightfully their’s. she had the worst luck before ascending. but when she did ascend, she was able to absorb luck, fortune, knowledge, etc to fight jack in the doomed timeline.
you see what i mean?
hopefully?
i rambled a LOT IM SO SORRY
LONG STORY SHORT,
this session can win, but it will be rough most likely. the page and mage of breath will have to bring the team together in my opinion.
If a sessions had a witch of heart, witch of hope, and witch of life that went off the deep end how fucked do you think the session would be?
That session would be fucked so hard I’m not even joking oh my lord. There’s not even a mentioned Space and Time player. Even if there was, the power would be sO IMMENSE OH MY GOD. You’re asking for a bloodbath anon. To simplify what each title is able to do, Witch of Heart manipulates the literal bEING OF SOMEONE LIKE GOOD LUCK TRYING TO CALM THEM DOWN. Witch of Hope manipulates faith and belief in things. Like that is so powerful do you have any idea omg. And then the Witch of Life is someone who manipulates literal Life. Oh, you disagreed with the Life player? Oh, now you’re dead. Don’t fucking mess with them sonny.
Hi, I would like to know how a session would go with a Prince of Light, Page of Rage, Mage of Time, Seer of Space, Maid of Doom, and a Thief of Hope. Thanks!
Hm, this session might be rough despite having a time player and a space player. The Thief needs to be checked up on if they are the type to hoard all of the hope. Or even steal their own team’s hope. The thief will most likely have to learn how to wield the hope they gain and oppose enemies with it. The Maid of Doom may be useful or the bane of your existence depending on how they use their abilities. Just make sure they don’t snap. The Page will need to realize their potential like every other page, but as a Rage player, this could lead to some problems if the Page is unstable or is overconfident of their abilities. If they were to master their class and aspect, which will take them a long time, they will be important to the session most certainly.
Now, we don’t really know how Mages work yet. Hopefully we’ll learn soon. But the Mage of Time will most likely be negatively affected by Time. That can definitely be a problem depending on how you want to interpret it.
And wowie wow. The Prince of Light better have good intentions. They can easily screw over the session if they have to potential to do so. I mean, they literally destroy Light. Fortune, knowledge, wealth, etc. They’ll have to be watched if needed.
Hello! Could you please tell me how a session would go with a bard of time, a seer of space, a mage of mind, and a rogue of heart? Thank you so much, I love your blog!!
Space: Check
Time: Check
Not that it matters too much, but I know some blogs would get mad if you have an inbalance of passive and active classes. You’ve got one active and three passive, but w/e.
Well having a Bard as your Time player can’t be good, in the slightest. An avoidant, easy going person who deals with the TIMELINES and generally acts random at the beginning? Your session’s quite vulnerable to being fucked up, especially with the unpredictable nature of the Bard as your time player. So that’ll be an interesting one.
I could see the Seer and the Bard having a good relationship until the Bard’s crisis. Both would be concerned on the future, but the bard’s easygoing tendencies could help calm the Seer down from what they’d be before.
The Mage of Mind should be the session’s stragetist. They’re got the logic to spare from their life experiences, which should come in handy (considering its not like they can recover easily if a mistake happens). With that in mind, I see them actually being pale for the Bard, as they could help the Bard take themselves and situations a little more seriously. This could help the session flourish into what it needs to be if the Bard gets fixated on the players’ side.
The Rogue of Heart would be the emotional leader of the session. They’d focus on their quest, then go around and make sure that everyone’s feeling alright once they’ve completed it. I could see them going flushed for the Seer as well!
The Seer would be breeding the Genesis Frog, of course. At first, I see them being unable to focus on the task because they’re too unsure of themselves. With probing from the Rogue and the Mage, I think the Seer would turn out to be a pretty good frog breeder once they understood what was up. Just make sure the stress on them isn’t too bad, because an inversion seems possible considering the task, and well… A Witch of Time against the session would be less than ideal.
Haha this ended up being more quadranty than focusing on the actual session itself. Sorry ^^” But yeah, as long as your Bard doesn’t fuck everything up, you guys should have a pretty smooth session!
What would a session between a knight of space (me) and a seer of heart (Mi moirail) be like?
Space: Check
Time: Nope
Ok, so just the simple fact that you guys don’t have a time player makes this much, much harder. You cannot fuck up. Period. Also, you can’t have any of those situations where a doomed timeline must happen in order for the alpha session to go smoothly. I’d highly recommend the seer trying to make some sort of denizen deal (if they can get there) to try to remedy this situation.
You’d be working on the development on the Genesis Frog, and I’d imagine the Seer’d be helping you here. That’d be this session’s main focus - focus on that development, and try as hard as you guys can to not mess with the politics of Derse/Prospit. However, I’d recommend going God Tier as quickly as possible, just so you guys don’t die over some stupid reason. And when I say quickly, I mean make it your sole focus to God Tier, even before breeding the Genesis Frog or something like that. You need to hurry before one of your dream selves are killed or something stupid happens to one of you.
Alternatively, you both should stay next to each other at all times so one person could heal the others’ dreamself, if it came to that. Either way, you both need to try to account for chance.
Emotionally, this session should turn out great. You guys are moirails, after all. I highly doubt seeing much strife happening with you guys at all.
So as long as you can negate chance, you’ve got a shot. Doesn’t sound like an easy task, but as long as you CAN god tier, and get past that harsh beginning stage where you both don’t know what’s going on, you should be alright. But, and I can’t emphasize this enough, you MUST negate chance as much as possible in order to succeed.
Could I request a session review with Mage of Void, Bard of Rage, Knight of Space, and Rogue of Time. With Mage of Void <3 Knight of Space, and Mage of Void <> Bard of Rage?

B) None of this team is really viable to console the bard and keep them from ruining everything but considering that's all you have the mage would probably be the best for the job, otherwise team is pretty well set up for how small it is, normally i'd say you don't have enough offense to handle the session in time but thanks to the rogue you can have all the time in the world, which would also give the knight time to breed frogs all by their lonesome! Have the mage be the leader with the help of the knight andd you're good to go!
