Random slightly rambly musings from a mythology nerd and IWTV fan (spoilers, kind of???)

SO!

We know that Akasha and Enkil took on the 'roles' of Isis and Osiris after they were turned to elevate their power to a new level, right? (Also, probably to explain why the king and queen weren't seen as much, presumably). And because I am a massive mythology nerd, it got me thinking and I did a bit re-research for Egyptian mythology and well...

Does that make Seth Horus?

Some context: In many versions of his myth, Horus is the only son of Osiris and Isis. Born after Set's betrayal and murder of Osiris, Horus was hidden away by his mother for his own protection as he was the rightful pharaoh. When he returns, he becomes the protector of the people of Egypt and spends a long time fighting Set to avenge his father's death.

Now on to the fun bit: I can equate Random Things about Horus to Seth if I try hard enough.

Horus was the only son and the heir - Seth was the oldest son and therefore, the heir, you know, until the immortality

Horus is depicted as a falcon or a man with the head of a falcon - falcon's prey on smaller birds and bats - Seth feeds from other vampires and not just in that this-is-how-we-have-sex way

Horus was trained in his youth to defeat Set - Seth was a warrior in his mother's army, trained to fight and stop anyone who risked being a danger to her.

Horus was the god associated with kingship, healing, protection, the sun, and the sky - Seth left his mother's army to become a healer, he is known as the protector of Fareed Bhansali, and their main goal is to overcome the power and danger the sun holds for vampires

I don't know. This is really just a fun, dumb way of me slapping two of my favourite things together.
