— SEBASTIAN (ft. chess)
Sebastian was perfect in everything; in cleaning, in cooking, in playing various instruments, in foreign languages, in gardening, even in singing and dancing. There was, however, one thing he couldn’t achieve fully well, and that was the game of chess.
Of course, he defeated others (I mean here; Grell, Agni, Bald or Finny) with ease, but when you offered him a game one day, his so far intact worldview changed dramatically. Eventually he found someone better than himself, but at the same time he felt so damn frustrated that he couldn’t win against your person. You were better than him, than Ciel, and even better than Mr. Tanaka, who was almost equal to him and the young lord.
“... Your move, Sebastian.” You announced by moving the bishop to the field of your choice, taking his black rook at the same time. “Are you going to give up, my love?” You smiled gently as you took a sip of delicious English tea with the perfect amount of sugar. The man looked at you in response, frowning and looking at the chess alignment after a short while.
“No. Everything is fine, I just need to think for a moment.” He said calmly, though his face expression seemed to hide the urge to swear. “I am impressed with how quickly you made such a confusing setup, darling.”
“Well, well. My grandpa taught me to play. As the saying goes, the student has surpassed the master.” You chuckled as you put your chin on your right hand while looking at the fingers of your man surrounded by white gloves, who decided to move the king to space F5. “Maybe someday you will surpass me, who knows?”
Sebastian stared at you out of the corner of his eye, nodding in delicate, almost invisible amusement.
“Maybe someday, dear. For now, I will give you the honorable title of the best chess player.”
— UNDERTAKER (ft. drawing)
Drawing has been your passion since you remember and you loved to paint literally everything; still life, nature, huge landscapes, other people, animals, and even things that didn’t make much sense (Picasso was one of your biggest inspirations when it came to cubism). In addition, in your bag you always carried your favorite blue sketchbook in which you drew tiny thoughts or things you noticed while walking, working or drinking coffee in a cafe.
That day, however, you were sitting quietly on one of the chairs in the funeral parlor, and the Undertaker was also sitting nearby – he was writing names with concentration, calculating in his mind the number of deaths in the last month and year.
His calm face was really handsome from your perspective; the faint light of the lantern caressed his pale complexion, and his green eyes full of mischief stood out behind his fair hair. Every now and then you glanced at the tall man, then your eyes focused again on the small notebook whose pages were blank. I mean, they were not all empty; some of them had sketches of dogs on them, others sketches of flowers, and others featured the figure of a tall Grim Reaper.
When you finished your illustration, you smiled and nodded, satisfied with your work. A beautiful play of light, self-confident pencil strokes and small additions in the form of ivy and rosemary beautifully composed the whole black-grey picture of Adrian.
“Excause me, darling...?” You whispered hesitantly, not wanting to interrupt his work. Nevertheless, the man quickly looked in your direction and a wide smile appeared on his face.
“Yes, my little flower.” He asked, instantly standing up and forgetting about the paperwork – you were definitely more interesting than the dead, after all. You showed him your drawing with a slight blush on your face and he opened his mouth in slight shock. “It’s me?” You nodded, and the Grim Reaper just chuckled. “Am I really THAT handsome?” He joked and you just rolled your both eyes. A short time later, Undertaker praised your talent, asking if you’d like to hang some of your sketches on the board next to the entrance.
— JOSUKE (ft. playing drums)
More than five years ago, you and your three friends started a music band. Since then, you’ve been focused on making your dreams come true, on small concerts played in the Morioh, on school performances, also on learning notes and practicing singing. You were the drummer and leader of ‘CR△WL’; your vast musical knowledge, willingness to develop your passion and daily rehearsals aroused great admiration from the rest of the band and from people who watched your slowly growing career. Of course, Josuke was no exception, on the contrary – he considered himself your biggest and most faithful fan, who with the greatest pleasure went on dates with you to music shops or bookstores with records of old bands.
The young man was delighted every time you played the instrument – just like years ago in your garage when you first played ‘Paranoid’ by Black Sabbath for him. He was smitten and would come over to your house to listen to your covers or help you make a video for your YouTube channel (you were pretty popular for tutorials, trivia, and drum videos).
“...Y/N, Y/N. Would you be able to play this song?”
That day, Josuke visited your house once again. Your mom made you two some snacks, and you grinned as you practiced another song for an upcoming concert at one of the smaller festivals this summer. Your boyfriend seemed to be excited like never before, so you asked what is the title of mentioned song. Hearing the familiar words, you just smiled, nodding your head in response.
Instantly, your both hands and right foot began to beat the drums, which making the dark-haired teenager’s face look very surprised.
“Y/N... You really know every song on this planet!”
— ROHAN (ft. rapping)
Karaoke, bowls full of ice cream and fruit, carbonated drinks, hot snacks and great company were what you’ve been missing for the last few weeks. Focused on studies and work, you didn’t have time to rest properly; but you finally met with your closest friends and you also took Rohan with you.
You had a great time gossip with besties who talked about changes in their lives and new achievements, for example, at work. You were telling about your experiences as well with a huge smile, while Rohan was sitting right next to you, talking to some people from time to time. He wasn’t interested in large gatherings, but he couldn’t say ‘No’ to you either because you were too sweet that evening.
Suddenly, one of Cardi B’s songs was played in the background and you almost squealed.
“Ooooh, I see that someone want to sing, huh?” The blonde haired girl asked, and you just laughed, thanking her for the black microphone.
Rohan almost spit at his new shirt as soon as you started rapping the verses without any problems, without even looking at the screen where the lyrics were displayed. You had a great time dancing a bit in the middle of the small room. You looked at your partner with a smirk, sometimes sending a kiss or wink in his direction. You were literally in your world; you showing your energy and love for music so perfectly.
for anon who asked "if kirisaki worked part time, what kind of job would it be and how would they behave?" i'll get round to doing hanamiya + zaki + maybe the others eventually, but i figured it was better to post something than nothing. also because it was matsumoto's bday last week and there's nowhere near enough matsumoto content out there. kiridai's unsung hero <3
Hara Kazuya
cannot keep a part time job to save his life
he doesn’t need one for the money but his parents thought it would be a good idea for him to get some real world experience instead of doing whatever the fuck it is that he does all day when he’s not at school or on the court
the problem is though that not having a financial incentive to keep a job means that hara doesn’t take them very seriously
the corporate environment - and most of his part time jobs have been corporate, working for family friends’ big businesses - bores him to death
and when he’s bored, the urge to bother poor innocent accountants and administrators, who are just trying to finish their 9-5 to go home to their family, is unbearable
what do you mean ‘have sympathy for middle-aged and depressed old salarymen who were minding their own business?' thinks hara as he sets forth on yet another mission to find someone to terrorise
so yeah, it’s not surprising that the jobs don’t usually last
i mean, he practically fires himself
like he gets called into the boss’s office, or into hr, or whatever, and they minute they say “so, hara, i think we need to discuss your behaviour recently…” hara interjects with “it’s horrible, isn’t it? guess i’m fired. sick. see you never.”
and is out of the office before they have time to call him back
the longest part time job he ever held down was at a music store, which worked for a while because he got along with most of his coworkers, and liked fiddling with some of the instruments on sale
but, yet again, bored hara + customer-facing role = very dangerous combination
even though some of the customers liked hara's very rock ‘n’ roll attitude to customer service, the minute his manager had to make cuts, hara was the first to go
(in retrospect, maybe it was something to do with how often he’d mock the manager for not having made it as a singer. hara just can’t help himself when it comes to kicking someone who’s already down.)
Furuhashi Kojiro
i’m not going to try be creative here, and anyone who knows anything about furuhashi already knows what his part time job would be
furuhashi works part time at a flower shop / garden centre type deal
furuhashi loves the flowers and plants under his charge, genuinely loves them like they’re his children
furuhashi hates the vast majority of his customers, with the same scathing fury that any animal lover would have if they had to let people with a history of animal cruelty adopt an animal in their care
when furuhashi sees that one person who 'loves' plants but can’t keep them alive to save their life (as they always tell furuhashi with a sheepish smile, “i love having them around but i just don’t have the knack for it!”)-
yeah the look on furuhashi’s face could kill
(n.b. the customer in question is probably hayama because he’s sort of got that vibe)
really furuhashi deserves our pity for having to spend so much time dealing with people he would gladly stab to death given a dark alley with no cctv
these being people who forget to water their plants; people who keep buying bouquets for their loved ones, bouquets that never end up watered and die an early death; people who buy a plant even after being told its high maintenance, ignore looking after the most basic needs, and then come back a week later like “uhh you sold me dying plants”
”i sold you dying plants,” repeats furuhashi, very slowly, eyes more less dead-fish and more piranha-on-the-prowl
“yeah, so can i get a refund or what?”
“i sold you dying plants,” says furuhashi again and his voice is getting lower, raspier, like a movie character who’s about to swear he’ll get vengeance on his wife’s murderer
luckily the customer realises its not worth taking a punt trying to get a refund they don’t deserve, in a darkly lit garden centre where they’re the only customer around, and they flee the scene before furuhashi starts an experiment on whether human flesh is a good fertiliser
honestly furuhashi’s probably the only person who’ll ever experience a garden centre to yakuza pipeline, because one day some oyabun’s going to scout him based on that anti-plant-killer rage alone
Seto Kentaro
torn about what to say here because, on the one hand, i can see seto being a trader as a part time job - after all, the man likes maths so he’s going to be good with spotting patterns
but, on the other hand, i really struggle to imagine him committing to a part time job whilst he’s in high school, or even university
there’s no motivation for him to have one, since his family are well-off enough to support his studies without him needing to pay for anything; and between studies, sleep, and basketball, does he really have the time for a job?
his parents would rather have their son studying to make sure he gets into tokyo university, than have him waste time with a part time job since he’s already got a work ethic (sort of)
maybe, like hara, seto’s parents get him a gig at a family friend’s company? you know, to get him out there networking in the world
but this would just be a part time job over the summer, and probably not many hours either, more just something for him to put on his cv
(though with a network of rich people, who needs a cv? hahahahaha…. ….)
and to be honest, i think seto would probably do alright in the corporate environment (by corporate, i mean big bucks corporate), even as a high schooler
he’d have to do something mentally stimulating - because if he was told to just deliver coffees to people, he: a) wouldn’t be bothered to do it, and b) would be too insulted to do it
but if he was doing something mentally stimulating, and maybe working with a team of fellow smart young people, then i do think he’d work hard and even enjoy what he was doing.
the man needs more hanamiyas in his life
(a sentence that applies to very few people in this world)
Matsumoto Itsuki
works at some sports equipment chain store as a sales assistant. he’d be lying if he said he enjoys the job, but it does mean discounts on his gear and gym membership, and, unlike many of the students at kiridai, he does appreciate having some extra money on hand.
when he’s at work without stuff to do, he’s usually twirling a basketball on his fingertips or trying to convince his coworkers to let him do inventory checks and avoid the customer-facing side of things
unfortunately this usually doesn’t work because a) matsumoto wasn’t gifted with a silver tongue and b) the guy who’s usually on matsumoto’s shifts with him refuses to let matsumoto live down the time where he hid in the storeroom to avoid hanamiya and hara who had just popped into the shop, and then locked himself in there by accident
‘course, that was when matsumoto had only recently joined the basketball team, and was still filled with teen angst and awkwardness
these days, if a teammate comes to the shop, he sticks his middle finger up at them if they ask for help and essentially treats them like he wishes he could treat all the customers
on the other hand, he always applies his employee discount to their purchases, even when the customer in question is hara in a particularly irritating mood. so let it not be said that matsumoto doesn’t have a soft spot for his teammates.
but, yeah, in general customer service is not matsumoto’s thing
he does genuinely try to help customers out and does a very good job of not punching annoying customers in the face (this is easier said than done in matsumoto’s case; after all, he spends most of his time with a bunch of guys who all believe violence is The Solution TM), but sometimes he lets his guard down
like the time someone came in saying they were new to play golf and wanted recommendations for a suitable club
“why the fuck would you want to play golf?” says matsumoto a little louder than intended.
“excuse me!” goes the customer
“what?” replies matsumoto before remembering he is talking in the real world and not in his daydream land where he beats up customers. “shit. um. let me go show you the club brands we stock.”
the only reason he didn’t get fired afterwards was because the store’s running low on staff as is
oh and matsumoto’s the only guy the manager doesn’t scold for not smiling at customers, because matsumoto’s customer-service smile makes him look like a gun is being held up to his forehead
it scared away far more customers than it attracted
Seto can easily pass as an adult, so when Kirisaki Daiichi needs to celebrate a victory or lift their spirits after a loss, his fixed task is to get the alcohol.
A sore loser takes his anger out on you when he loses to Kirisaki Daiichi.
“There she is...”
You were completely unaware of all the attention you were receiving from across the hall. Your eyes were solely fixed on the tall figure before you. His slicked-back hair a sign that he had been called on by Hanamiya today.
“Sorry I missed it was hard getting time off work.” You pushed your hair back over your shoulder in an attempt to placate your wild locks. They had gone through significant turmoil as you rushed and ran the last few blocks.
“You should quit,” Hanamiya bluntly suggested. He wasn’t a fan of overachieving students like you who tried their best to the point of exhaustion.
His blunt statements no longer fazed you. Ignoring him completely, you strode past him to attach yourself to the owner of your heart. He was warm and sweaty but you could care less. The sight of his slightly exhausted face made you want to take him back to your place for a nap.
Seto comfortably leaned into you, his hand resting on the small of your back. His lips gently pressing against your forehead in the usual gentle greeting ritual that was a stark contrast to his appearance.
“You should have gone straight home.”
It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate your presence, rather he was worried knowing how hard they worked you at your part-time job.
“I wanted to cheer for you.”
Hara pointed out you were still in your uniform which did nothing for him, unlike your usual short school uniform skirt. “Shouldn’t you wear something sexier to raise our spirits?”
The comment earned him a glare and click of your tongue. You knew “I don’t give a f*ck about your spirit.”
Unbeknownst to you, the opposing team was grumbling as they glanced in your direction. A couple of them scowled feeling a sense of misplaced anger towards you who they had seen several times cheering on their cheating rival. Their captain instructed everyone to get over the loss and get ready to leave.
A few of the younger members didn’t agree with him. They thought they had a duty to look out for their seniors. They wanted to do something about the injustice they faced.
“I’ll be waiting outside.” You let go of Seto’s hand so he could follow the guys into the locker room. The night was relatively warm but the cool breeze made up for it. It was ideal idling around weather.
You leisurely walked with your phone in hand, mindlessly scrolling through social media until you got to a bench behind the gymnasium that was empty. It never crossed your mind to take a look around so you were legitimately startled when someone called your name.
“Y/N-”
A guy with light brown hair sat beside you on your left while a blonde took the right seat. One look at their uniform was all you needed to know why they were here. This wasn’t your first time being approached by guys from other schools. It was your experience that told you it was best to avoid them.
“That’s your name right?” His eyes roamed to your chest where your nametag gave away that he was indeed correct.
You got up to leave but only took a few steps when the light haired guy quickly caught up blocking your way and nearly making you bump into him. You took a step back only to bump into his friend.
“What the f*ck do you want?”
They were both slightly taken back by your language, not expecting the expletive.
“You’re that guy’s girlfriend right?”
“That’s none of your business-” when you took a step to the side they followed.
“That guy hurt our captain’s shoulder. Coach said he might be out for the rest of the season.”
Honestly you weren’t in favor of the tricks or their manipulative plays. After watching for so long you were desensitized to their behavior. It was beyond you to feel their pain. Instead you celebrated Seto’s victory.
You sighed.
“Listen, talking to me isn’t going to change anything so back off and go home.” You looked back to his friend making sure they knew you were talking to both of them.
This time when you tried to leave the light haired guy held onto your arm and tightly pulled you back. The quick motion caught you off-guard for a moment causing you to crash into him.
The moment was all seen by Seto who had been looking for you. He didn’t know what their business was with you and he didn’t care. All he knew was what he saw.
“Oh they better run,” Hara taunted with laughter when he saw Seto walk faster than he has ever before. “Should we watch?”
Hanamiya didn’t even stop to look. “What’s the point, it’ll be over the moment they see him.” He knew physical violence was unnecessary for such a scary looking guy like him.
Those first years were nothing but benchwarmers. They had only seen Seto from afar, failing to recognize how overpowering the army of one could be. As soon as he came up to them he pried the unknown guy’s hand off of you with no effort.
You happily joined his side now that they could no longer stand in your way. When you reached for his hand Seto noticed a bruise forming on your wrist.
“Did they do this to you?”
The guys took a step back, their faces a mix of anger and frustration. “We did nothing compared to you. Our captain’s shoulder is probably broken-”
“So?” He caught them off with one word. Then ignored them for a moment to grab his jacket out of his bag when he felt the wind pick up. He draped it over your shoulders to ensure your warmth.
“Better?”
You nodded appreciating his attention to detail.
His lips curved up at the sight of his oversized jacket on you. It was gone in an instant when he turned his attention back to the offenders.
“Don’t come near her again,” Seto’s voice seemed deeper when he warned them. “If you have a problem with me then you come to me.”
The guys had to stretch their necks to look at him. The height difference was enough of a threat, however these two knew Kirisaki Daiichi would deliver on their threats on or off the court.
“Whatever, let’s go.”
“That’s no fun,” Hara booed when he saw them leave with their tails between their legs.
You leaned on Seto to take your shoe off and throw it at Hara. The bubble-popping weirdo caught it despite your wishes to have it hit him.
“Don’t mind him,” Seto picked you up and carried you over to Hara to retrieve your shoe. He took a hold of it and continued to walk home with you in his arms.
“I can walk.”
“It’s faster this way.”
You didn’t mind the stares but you wondered where this burst of energy came from. Usually after games he lazily leaned on you the entire walk home. When he walked past your home and into his you only gave him a look of confusion.
“From now on you aren’t allowed to leave my side.”
“We literally live next door to each other.”
He nodded in understanding but, “No one is home.” He couldn’t leave you to fend for yourself again. From now on he had to pay closer attention to your safety.
He brought you to his room and finally set you down.
You were touched by his sudden overprotective behavior brought on by today’s incident. “I’m fine Ken-kun” you brought him over to sit on his bed. With him seated you stood in front of him, between his legs, now able to meet his eyes. “I’m actually pretty tough, you know?”
“I know,” his arms wrapped around you. “I still worry.”
“I know,” you copied his monotonous response. A giggle erupted at his stern look. “Thank you for worrying.”
At this height you were better able to kiss him, so you did. First it was a peck on the forehead then on the lips.
But a peck wasn’t enough.
Seto held you closer as he captured your lips. The two of you kissed in the silence of his home forgetting the whole ordeal. When it got intense he fell back onto his fluffy bed bringing you along on top of him.
One thing you loved about your boyfriend was his passion for rest. Since he loved to sleep, his bed was always well-maintained. He kept the sheets clean, invested in a good mattress, and pillows.
“Oh,” you smirked playfully. “I thought you wanted me to rest?”
“Rest after.”

A/N: Thank you for encouraging me to write this one and hopefully I’ll get to Hanamiya too ^^
Hi! I hope you're doing well. I can ask for the reaction of Hanamiya, Seto, Hara, Akashi and Nijimura to the words of their fem s/o: "Kagami is hot!"during the viewiof Seirin's match in the Winter Cup. Please.
i gotchu, i hope you enjoy )))
ps. IN NO WAY DO I THINK KAGAMI IS AN UGLY IDIOT THAT’S BENEATH ANYONE. IT’S JUST FOR THE STORY LOL. but i mean ,,,, he kinda is an idiot ya know ?
akashi stays calm. he’s confident + sure of himself. he knows that you love him + that you’d never even consider cheating on him,,,especially with kagami taiga. he might feel a small pinch of jealousy + it bothers him that he’d even feel jealous of such a huge idiot. he knows he’s way better than kagami in every single way + he knows your tastes are refined.
“Pardon me?” Akashi turned to you slowly, his eyebrows raised in slight surprise.
“Kagami’s kinda hot, don’t you think?” You said again, a grin plastered onto your face. Akashi feels the jealousy leave almost immediately upon the realization that you were trying to get a rise up out of him.
“Not particularly. I’d prefer you.” He chuckled, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulling you close to him.
hanamiya is so amused. he’s like pfft kagami ? hot ? in her fucking dreams. this girl wouldn’t know hot if it hit her in the face. he can’t deny, though, that he’s a little bit jealous. he starts to wonder if you like tall guys or less intelligent guys, and he hates that he’s even started to think about it. he’d probably make fun of you for it to make himself feel better
“Bro, Kagami? Seriously, you could do so much better.” Hanamiya scoffs and puts his hands behind his head, refusing to meet your gaze and keeping his eyes on the court below. He watched the aggressive red-head dunk on Yosen’s center and wrinkled his nose in disgust. “God, he just...sucks.”
You turned to him, an eyebrow raised in amusement. “He sucks?”
“Yup.”
“Is that the best you could come up with?”
“I mean, can you really have a crush on an idiot who sucks?” Hanamiya folded his arms over his chest and angled himself away from you ever so slightly. You rolled your eyes.
“Oh my god, Makoto, I don’t have a crush on him. I was just being stupid.”
“I know.” He turned back to you with a wide smirk playing on his lips.
“Then why’re you acting like a baby?”
“I just wanted to hear you say that you were stupid.” He poked your cheek before stretching an arm out on the back of your chair and leaning into you. “Stupid.”
hara could not bring himself to care. he didn’t give two shits about kagami or your opinion of him. he knew that if you had a real interest in kagami, which you couldn’t possibly, you would be with him. plus, hara and kagami were so different, hara knew there was no way in hell you could be interested in the both of them in the same lifetime
“Kagami? Sure. If you like idiots.” Hara blew a bubble and continued to watch the court with mild interest. You scowled at him and poked his bubble, popping it on his lips.
“Aren’t you at least a little jealous?”
“Not at all, babe.” He smiled lazily.
“Why not?”
“Because I know that if you’d like an idiot like him, there’s no way you could like a fine man like myself.”
nijimura, frankly, doesn’t know who the hell that is. he gets a little bent out of shape thinking that you think some dude on the court is hot enough to say it out loud in front of your boyfriend, but he doesn’t show it on his face. he just calmly keeps watching the game on the court below him. but his curiosity gets the better of him + he can’t help but ask
“So...who’s Kagami?” Nijimura asked, a lilt in his voice. He was trying his best to mask his jealousy in the form of teasing, but he wasn’t too confident in his ability to keep up the charade.
“That amazing power forward with the red hair. Look how high he jumps! It’s probably because of those amazing legs he’s got.” You pointed down to the court where Seirin’s number ten was currently making a fast break for the opponent’s basket and dunking the ball.
“Amazing power forward, huh?”
“Yeah. Not better than you, though, baby.” You leaned over to press a kiss to Nijimura’s cheek and he relaxed, splaying his fingers out on your thigh. He’d let it go this time.
seto unfortunately has his sleeping mask on and appears to be snoozing. your attempt to make him jealous goes totally unnoticed. you decide to leave him alone. but little do you know that he secretly hears you + sees your tiny hissy fit as you return to watching the game peacefully
“Wow, Kagami’s so hot!” You said, keeping your eyes on Seirin’s sweaty power forward. You give it a few minutes to let the words pierce Seto’s heart before turning to him to see the damage you had done. Or the damage you thought you had done.
Seto’s arms were bent behind his head and cradling the back of his head comfortably. A small, satisfied smile was on his lips as he snoozed. You huffed and turned back to the game upon realizing that he did not hear you, and, therefore, your attempt to make him jealous was completely thwarted.
A couple of minutes later, unbeknownst to you, Seto carefully unbent one arm and lifted up one side of his sleeping mask to peer at you. His smile grew wider once he caught sight of your pouting face turned toward the court, and he peacefully dozed off, satisfied with his work.
Headcanons please. KiriDai find their s/o sitting in a secluded part of the school, knees up to her chest and face in her crossed arms. She explains that she's just having a rough day and she'll be back to normal after she sulks a bit. What do they do?
Hanamiya:
- sighs at her explanation, clearly sensing that something was much worse than just a bad day
- he tries to persuade her to admit it, but when she curls up into a ball he decides to stop
- leaves her for a while to give her time, but shows up again and gets her out of school
- doesn’t like seeing his s/o down, it makes him feel uneasy
- brings her home and suggests watching a movie to get her mind off of things
Hara:
- plops down onto the floor beside her, trying to meet her gaze while she’s hiding behind her knees
- with a light but soft tone asks what’s wrong
- it’d help a lot if she decided to tell him, otherwise he’s clueless on what to do
- eventually decides to pat her head and grab her hand, pulling her out of the school building
- asks a lot of questions to trick her into giving him some hints
- takes her on a walk, maybe for ice-cream to cheer her up
Furuhashi:
- tells her to stop hiding and definitely doesn’t believe any excuses
- his mind immediately starts working on full speed, searching for things that might’ve caused her mood to drop
- it makes him worried that she’s avoiding explaining anything because he doesn’t know how to help
- decides to sit there with her in silence, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and waits until she either gets better or wants to talk
- there’s no way he’s gonna leave her alone
Seto:
- no need to tell him anything, it’s obvious from her pose and look that she’s not at her best
- doesn’t question her much because he doesn’t want to trigger anything even more
- asks if she wants to be left alone and acts from there, but would prefer to stay
- definitely doesn’t want her to “just be fine after a while”, no way, he wants to see her smile right now
- but doesn’t push
- he’s not the best with words of comfort, so instead tells her about his day and hopefully cheers her up
Yamazaki:
- he’s the one to shrug at first and take her words for granted, because everyone has some bad days and why would she lie to him?
- but doesn’t want her to just sit there, so he decides to take her to practice or to just spend the time doing something together
- treats her to her favorite meal and acts more goofy than usual
- understands if she wants to be alone for a while instead, but texts her often to check if she’s alright
Hi, for the seto x reader, I would want something where he’s being over protective of his s/o! Sorry for not specifying!
hi!! sorry i took so long to get this done, i really meant to work on it earlier! (sorry it’s kinda bad)
~
“Seto-kun. Seto-kun, wake up. We’re here.”
You watched as your boyfriend stirred with a grumble, pulling his sleep mask off of his face to blink over at you. He offered only a yawn, and you scowled, snatching his sleep mask from him.
“No more napping. Didn’t you hear me? Everybody else is getting off the train; come on.”
Eventually, you talked him into stepping off of the train, and he pushed his hair back from his face, then adjusted his grip on his bag and stuck both hands into his pockets. “What’s the point of going to the beach, anyway? It’s not like anyone’s going to practice much.”
“Leisure,” Hanamiya called from the front of the group. “Visiting the beach with the guise of a training camp is a perfect excuse to get away from school for a couple days before Inter-High, don’t you think~?”
Whatever the excuse was, Seto didn’t seem to care much about the trip at all. In fact, he insisted that he’d be spending the whole time napping in the hotel, and that was precisely what he was laying down to do -
- until you arrived at the door in a bikini, which you knew would get him to pay more attention to you.
This ended up working a bit too well, though. While everyone else enjoyed themselves on the beach, Seto kept you held close to his side and glared at anyone who looked at you for too long.
“Seto-kun, you can let me go. I can handle myself.”
“No. I’m not letting anyone else think you’re available. You’re too sexy.”
You huffed and nudged at him, but there was no changing his mind. In the end, despite how absurd he was being, both of you ended up having a good time at the beach with his teammates, having splash fights and eating ice cream.
And, well... It was kinda cute how protective he was of you.
