A.k.a. Adam is alive and all 4 of them are in a relationship because why the fuck not.

So Adam was a pilot in canon? If he didn't die, he would most likely be one of the MFE pilots - even be their CO/SO because of Seniority. So he is the Commanding Officer/Superior Officer for the MFE pilot branch (James answers to him but Adam still answers to Veronica or at least the same level as her... If that makes sense of the hierarchy of power here)

Lance is obviously still the Red Paladin of Voltron (Voltron still exists, Allura is fine... My AU my rules) Because Keith is the leader and is in contact with their allies (with the help of the Blades, while Pidge and Matt go with him when talking with the Coalition) Lance is the Paladin who keeps in contact with Atlas and Earth. Red being the fastest Lion (can't teleport but whatever) can travel to wherever Atlas is.

Shiro being the Captain of the Atlas and Curtis, a member of the Atlas Crew are the ones who spend the most time together. Adam stops by during his breaks. They try to always leave video messages for Lance if he is too far into space or have video chats when they aren't busy.

They always miss one another if they are far apart - Lance being the one who is away and Adam being the busiest training the new batch of MFE pilots.
