There's something so appealing about the dichotomy between light and sound and Av-Matoran vs. De-Matoran colour schemes. Where Av-Matoran can literally be any colour of the rainbow and beyond, while De-Matoran are monochrome. Especially when also considering that Shadow Matoran are just as colourful as Av-Matoran.

Something something in Bionicle Elemental Shadow is more of a perversion of Elemental Light than an inversion, and Elemental Sonics is its true equal and opposite counterpart.

A COLLECTION OF MELUS! So Melu's my SelfMOC, one of them anyways. He's a Le-Matoran who becomes a Toa. A while back I decided to do designs of what Melu would look like in different Matoran and Toa Builds, and decided recently to update them.

I'm really happy with how all of these came out looking, especially the Hordika and Mistika builds for the Toa, and the Mahri and Shadow Matoran builds for the Matoran.

Here's the originals if you wanted to see them. I didn't have the AV-Matoran, Shadow Matoran, Phantoka, or Mistika builds with them tho. Some of them really only changed in terms of color. Originally I made them trying to stick to the OG Melu's color scheme and placement, but when I went back and updated them I decided to try and emulate the original color aesthetics of the builds they're based on.

EXPLICATION OF KRA-MATORAN

The kra-matoran are the matoran of shadows

All of them have the power of shadows inactive , that can be activated by becoming toa , after becoming toa , they can control the shadows , fear , anger , and have all makutas abilities and kraakhans abilities , they can make shadows clon who have consciousness , they are loyal to matoran , toa , turaga and other faction or species who wish to help the great spirit , they are know for their fighting ways , they make some weapons to defend against any treat , and they have the task of reporting what is happening , they also have a duty to monitor in case is a threat , they are also known to hide in the shadows to report some kind of treat or attack , makuta teridax and others makuta try to attempt to convince them to join them , but them are loyal to matoran ,toa , turaga so no one will make them betray their friends , after escaping teridax after the great cataclysm , they were taken on a place similar to karda Nui and mata Nui island , where they meet a being whose name was wellest , he explain that his mission is protect and help every Toa , turaga and matoran who need help or that in danger , he also help some To turn some kra-matoran in to a Toa , to fulfill various missions and their destinations

PERSONALITY

They are very happy , serious , loyal , willing to protect everyone , funny , respectful , ingenious , honorable , energetic , inspirational , vengeful angers , silents , colds

They are like anti-heroes , cause sometimes they kill his enemies , it's because they have the idea that those who try to hurt them must be eliminated to prevent them from hurting others

The others matoran trust and distrust of them cause for his element of shadow , because of the makutas , they believe they are related of them , but the kra-matoran

Gavla, ex-Shadow Matoran, after reunification, undergoing procedures to return herself to the form she felt most comfortable with without losing her inner light. But not everything she lost can be replaced.

Gavla’s Reaction?

I have to wonder what it was like for Gavla, during that brief period between Mata Nui’s awakening, and Makuta revealing his takeover of the universe. Was there moping involved? Gavla seemed to legit have the misconception of the Brotherhood being her ‘true’ family, or at least saw it as the closest she’d ever have to one, so she may as well treat it as such. I think like Gorast, there was that willingness, maybe even a desire to die as a martyr for the Makuta.

So to see THE Makuta himself, not only still alive, but victorious beyond any extent that anyone could’ve imagined? I wonder what went through her head, if that chilling wind had been reassuring for her. Did Gavla openly cheer when Makuta revealed himself, or did she keep it to herself- And then professionally get to work on serving the Brotherhood as always, perhaps as a spy or saboteur for the resistance? A sort of quiet confirmation, pride, and reassurance in her beliefs, a dignified realization that of course it’d turn out well... Before going right back to business like nothing ever changed.

And then one can only imagine her reaction to Makuta’s genuine death, if there is denial because surely he had a backup plan, he had already been thought dead once after his battle with Takanuva, surely this was no different? Did Gavla continue to operate as an intended spy amongst the new society, believing she just had to be patient and pave the way for Makuta’s return? What of her thoughts on Miserix and the Alternate Teridax, both antithetical to the kind of Brotherhood that Gavla idealized?

Did she ever approach Miserix, and recognize the darkness within him- Only to see that he was beginning to recover and return to the light, without a grudge in his heart? Did Gavla follow Miserix’s example, as he helped the new world with its Rahi- Or did she reject him? What of Alternate Teridax literally being the same Makuta she idolized, just with different choices? I could see this realization really changing Gavla, and perhaps motivating her to let go and move on... Or not, who can tell?
