Question for your Ocs.

I've already asked about shadow seekers before. But maybe peoples characters have changed or evolved so the answers are different. Or its simply been a hot minute and people just want to take every chance they can get to talk about their OCs. And I thought of how Garnok and will-o'-the-wisp also make individuas hear/see differently.

First an exploration what Im talking about:

In the books its mentioned that Shadow Seekers will make people hear thoughts of their insecurities so they get depressed and stop fighting.

Its possible to over voice and ignore them. But if you not prepared you become an easy target.

Garnok start talking to people that are at their lowest and are east targets for manipulation.

With Mr Sands it was when he had just lost his lover and was mad at the world. It come with the downside that his personality changed after awhile and seemed to forget why he turned to Garnok in the first place.

With the will-o'-the-wisp they make individuas see and here their love ones to lure them deeper into the forest or to fall into and drown in witch Pi's swamp.

The guy I dont remember the name of from New Hillcrest was fully aware when the will-o'-the-wisp took hold of him and was able to fight free on his own. While Lisa had to be pulled up by the other Soul Riders.

So the questions:

1. What insecurities does your character(s) hear the shadow seekers say? Can they easily fight back those thoughts?

2. What event would make your character(s) break down for Garnok to start talking to them? What does Garnok offer? Can or will your character(s) refuse?

3. What loved ones do your character(s) see or hear by the will-o'-the-wisp? Is it a happy or sad sight? Can your character pull free from the trance?

The Masked One

the villain of my upcoming book: Trial by Fire Academy. The Masked One is a mysterious figure who lurks in the shadows. He's one of the 7 Shadow Seekers

The Huntress

another villain from the Trial by Fire Academy series, a fearsome Assassin and sister to The Masked One

Neko Jin

The Ancient Champion of The Shadows. One of the original Anthros to be born into the Land of Htrae, Neko Jin was the first to be corrupted by The Shadow. Under The Shadow's Command, Neko Jin laid waste to the towns and settlements of Dark Sky, capturing and corrupting an army for The Shadow to use to wage war against the people of Htrae..

Death

He awaits us all. One of the 12 Dullahan that survey and reap the souls of the dead on Earth and Htrae, delivering them to the afterlife. He's also in charge of an agency of Soul Reapers

Erik and Kip

Erik and Kip are two of Death's top Soul Reapers. After defying death in their prior lifetime, this pair of Reapers have been working as Agents of Death for one full eternity to pay off their life debts before they'll be allowed to retire back to their new eternal lives. Since starting their jobs as Soul Reapers, Erik and Kip have also grown rather close to Death and his family, and are considered like Uncles to Death's children

But Marcus, Melanie, Leah, Dani, Subhas and Derek aren't sure they're cut out to be heroes, despite the fact that they've had magical powers since they were kids.
