Art is not some gift given by the muses. It is a skill that you learn from all the time.
While trying to draw a turtle, I had a hard time trying to figure out how their legs work. So I had to google reference.
While inking my pen accidentally blooped out extra ink I had to clean up.
Even during the inking process, I had to scratch in details for the shell, lest the extra info would overstimulate my brain.
Art is imperfect, messy, and fun to me. It’s the way I have stimmed for years as an autistic person. Let’s bat away perfectionism and have fun again.
I love how modern day science fiction was created by a bisexual goth girl who beat everyone in a ghost story telling contest. Thanks Mary Shelley 💚
If you are worried about drawing hands, guess what. Hands will always be tricky to draw. They are impossible octo limbs that were evolved from fins to pads to paws and these things. It's basically body horror claw machines attached to our arms. So yes, hands are difficult to draw.
