Drow Shadowmancer by Tamas Patkos
Before Carmin becoming a servant from the Dark, she was just a simple, mortal woman trying to survive in a small village in the 1700s. Unfortunately for living by herself and being from a different culture would make Carmin a target of a accusation of witchcraft, due to some infected crops that has been causing epilepsy in some families.
Days before the accusation, a faceless man met up with her in the woods, trying to convince her join him and save her from her tragic fate. Carmin did not believed, she had friends, a home, how could she be accused of witchcraft? All sounded nonsense to her.
However during trial nobody stand up for her, nobody defended her, in the end she was by herself, alone, condemned to hangment at the next morning. An hour before the sun raised, the faceless man showed up one last time, offering her help however with a price: she would gave up of her mortality, part of what made her a human, and she would become a servant from an ancient entity, that demanded hungrily for knowledge. Carmin's only desire was to survive, she did not cared how.
After the painful ritual was completed, Carmin became immortal and with the faceless man's help was able to escape her chains. Leaving behind not only that village but also her past and who she was.
Starting a new character in my Warhammer Fantasy RP game this week. She's a grey wizard hiding from her past with her sister.

Oc-tober day 1: Going about an Average Day
Steven may have had a slightly less than average day.

the art piece that goes with it
at 3am, a new story idea came to me almost fully fledged and, unusually, I actually wrote it down. Now I just have to find enough spoons to write the damned thing. Along with all my other projects...
It involves a necromancer who’s part of an order of Shadowmancers who have no ties to monarch or borders, a battle between two dragons and the royal army sent to stop them, shadow-magic, angst, feels, grief, loss, friendship, camaraderie, comfort, found family, a prince, a badass female dwarf, a sassy female feline (have no idea what to call them but they’re basically rakshasas), a huge male human, and a half-goblin half-elf mage. They all have names (unusually for me at this stage) and backstory, and why can’t I just pull a story from my head and have it on paper instantly...
The necromancer’s ‘faceclaim’ or inspiration is basically the undead Breton hero from the ESO cinematic trailers.
and that’s that.
