Very likely, although I think he would be able to predict something like that to happen and thus would be better prepared.

Umm, dramatic post-battle kiss for Trollhunter!Barbara and Shadowmancer!Strickler?

(Kiiiind of inspired by a comment made by @theoldandnewfirm. Idk how you always manage to push my imagination in just the right direction, but here we are again!)

Today in AU things that make me emotional: Shadowmancer!Strickler opening a massive portal to save the entire Janus Order from Gunmar.

What if Beast!Barb and Shadowmancer!Strickler...?

I admit, I have no idea if the plot of Wizards would still happen in this AU in that way, what with how Morgana's story is supposed to go.

And I know I've said before that I don't think Strickler would be a good match for the Shadow Staff.

But.

It'd be cool, though.

Ok, and I actually have a lot of of feelings about Strickler learning shadow magic now. Just the thought of a changeling - and Stricklander especially!!! - being able to master Morgana's staff, I- ;_;

also thinking about how

what if he got that white stripe in his hair because he opened a massive portal in the Janus Order to save every last changeling from Gunmar, WHAT IF???

(Oh also, what if before Morgana gives up her magic she grants every changeling the ability to shift without their familiars? ... Heck, I have no idea how the puzzle of this AU fits together anymore, but it's fun to think about the pieces, ya know?)

I wonder if Morgana's semi-failed possession of shadowmancer!Strickler would lead to them having meaningful conversations that change her approach/fate during the Eternal Night.

(or, if the answer is no, would Strickler straight up kill her since he's smart enough to know that she will always be a threat unless she's dead)

I could see it going either way depending on Morgana's willingness to listen to what Stricklander has to say. And whether or not Strickler wants to have that kind of conversation in the first place.

In my mind he's a lot more confident in dealing with Morgana in this AU, since he takes a firm "Changelings first" approach and remains in control of the Janus Order the entire time. (That's why he has to antagonize Barbara for so long)

Whether or not he and Morgana can come to any kind of consensus will depend entirely on whether or not she is willing to recognize Changelings as equals rather than servants.

But also my own thoughts regarding this AU are all over the place and not fleshed out at all so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
