* from the bushes* Mm, hello, @babyblankyerror ! I just.. uh.. I have a couple of things here for you 👉👈 Thank you for all the creativity and all the good things you do) I hope this April will be good for you!
I couldn't decide what I wanted to do, so there were two of them.. )
Remember that one fic I said I didn't want to write because itd be crap? Well @/dark-lord-of-awesomeness commented on it and I must listen to the Lord themselves so I am writing it.
I have 8 chapters done and am nearing the end, I think? Here is the first part :3 I'm stuck on the name, unsure if I'll go with Redo or Do over.
Originally this fic would have more to it and was supposed to go a different (longer) direction but I want to actually finish a multiple chapter fic for once so I'm cutting corners.
“NRUTER YAM I TAHT REWOP TNEICNA EHT EKOVNI I !NRUB OT EMOC SAH EMIT YM !LTOLOXA”
Well, there's something you don't hear everyday.
As the demon seizes into alternating forms, the old man decides it isn't worth worrying, he's as dead as that thing is. Well- maybe not as dead, considering the demon is withering and screaming in agony as its own blue flames consume it.
Sitting back in his chair, he takes a hold of the family photo of his grand-niece and grand-nephew with him, they're all smiling, big toothy grins and crinkling eyes. It should feel as though there's someone missing from the photo yet he feels as though it's perfect the way it is, for once something was his for a little while.
For once someone loved him.
In his mind, the blue flames eat away at everything, they lick the edge of his chair and crawl up the walls until all he can see is the photograph and his hand. He can't help but laugh-
“Guess I was good for something afterall”
Then he closes his eyes and welcomes the darkness.
…
…
Hm. This is taking a whole lot longer than he anticipated.
The burning sensation from earlier, that had burned so much it felt cold, was gone and when Stanley Pines opened his eyes he found that so had the flames. And everything actually.
Everything was white. There was no living room, no TV, no paddle ball, no chair and certainly no photograph.
Stanley was everything and nothing at all, he wasn't standing or sitting or laying or swimming. He had always felt like nothing but at this very moment he found that he didn't mind feeling like nothing this time.
Something calls to him, he thinks, not like he has the ears to listen and even if he did, his hearing is very bad and he doubts whatever calls him has a voice anyway.
He's moving, he thinks, not like he has the body to move around, but he is following that call through the vast nothingness (or is it all?) until he'd find it.
He stopped.
In front of him the whiteness opened, a swirl of galaxies inside, it reminded Stanley of a whale although much bigger. This was their eye, he guessed, their body blending perfectly into the alley (or was it nothing).
They didn't really speak, not really, Stanley didn't have a mouth to do so anyway, but it felt as though they were conversing with that single glance.
Then, Stanley Pines was Stanley again, he knew from how the pain shot through his whole body like that one time he got electrocuted while fixing the portal.
He felt small, he was small, but he was older and weaker and exhausted. His hair was white just like the nothingness and his skin pale.
“Stanley Pines” a grand deep voice spoke “the axolotl has granted your wish”
When Stanley turned, because he could and had a body now, he found a giant freaking baby with a massive fucking head. He told himself not to point out how huge their heads was-
“You're fat” he blurted instead, too shocked to keep quiet.
“Thank you” the baby thanked and Stan hadn't been sure if he had meant it as a compliment or an observation but he decided to not clarify.
“Sure”
“Ahem” the baby cleared their throat and damn, Stan sure wasn't small “you have called upon the great Axolotl and asked for your return!”
Stan does not remember doing so but he feels as though he should keep quiet. For once.
“The Axolotl has informed me to grant you a time wish” a glowing orb made its way down to Stan, floating in front of his eyes at an arms length.
“Tell me, Stanley Pines, what is it you wish for?”
Now, a ‘time wish’ sounds pretty self explanatory and Stanley vaguely thinks he asked for one when asked by that giant creature that was all and was nothing but there was an itch in the back of his neck that said the Axolotl coming to him hadn't been for him.
That this wish of a return was not meant to be his.
Still, Stanley Pines is used to being nothing, he is used to being selfish, he is a thief…
