This was a passion project I never thought I'd be making. When I was a kid, one of my favorite books was Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George because I loved the main dragon in it, Shardas.
I bought these sinker eyes a little carelessly, in a "thats pretty cool, click" kind of way with no real plan for how to use them. I usually figure out what to do with supplies I buy for that reason and as per usual, once I knew what they should be used for I couldnt use them for anything else.
In the book, the dragons all have hoards but each dragon hoards a different thing- for instance the first dragon you meet in the story hoards shoes. But for Shardas, it was stained glass.
Seeing him brought to life was a very gratifying experience that had me kicking my feet the entire time and probably healed my inner child a little bit.
