While I do appreciate that you clearly have an interest in my tadc bugsnax au (truly Thanku!) there’s no need to ask other artists and blogs who have shown no prior interest in either fandom if they know about me and my silly crossovers!

So since I posted about my characters, how did everyone react when they first washed up to shore?

(Referring to these lovely ocs for TASI)

Ragatha, Pomni, and Gangle would all feel a bit of horror and sadness over the fact that two young children have been lost at sea and will now have to live on this island for the foreseeable future. Jax was annoyed at the idea of having to deal with two brats now. Zooble felt bad that a couple of kids ended up there. Kinger’s just vibing man.

Ragatha would of course take to trying to mother and care for them. Ultimate mom friend worried for these children, she wants them to be safe and happy best they can in the situation.

Pomni would also help out with caring for them but in more of an awkward babysitter/older family member kind of way. She likes the kids and also wants them to be safe and happy but she’s not really parent/guardian material at the time.

Gangle acts more like an older sister with them. Playing games and entertaining them as best she can. Still kinda awkward but it’s easier to hang around kids without worrying about judgement.

Zooble is also sad about the idea of two kids ending up stuck on the island but doesn’t let it bother them too much. Yeah it sucks but we can’t do anything but move on. They’re not exactly sure how to act with young kids but they try to be nice and entertain them when around. Like an older cousin hanging around.

Kinger naturally exudes dad vibes lol. But it’s definitely more noticeable the more lucid he is. He’s happy to care and play with the kids but there’s always some layer of guilt haunting him.

Jax is the one to loudly complain that he’s not going to be on babysitting duty and overall avoids anything regarding caretaking with them. He’s still an ass but not quite as much with them. Like an older brother that flicks you in the back of the head and calls you a baby but when it counts is willing to protect them.

Caine is always happy to have new friends arrive at his island! He doesn’t really have a great concept on ages, it’s just an even smaller grumps right? He’d be thrilled to have anyone that actually wants to interact with him more than the usual group does!

Tadc x bugsnax au… fusing my two current fixations…. Whats kinger’s grumpus name and what are his favorite snax. idk if im pulling it from the show or just vibes, but i think he likes butterflies most. Mothza/cheepoof/flutterjam perhaps… and i assume caine adores hunnabees in particular. also i propose the term absnaxion/absnaking for when a grump surrenders to the snax >:3

Kinger definitely has a soft spot for the flying snax! He almost always has some sort of sweetiefly or flutterjam stuck to him. He’s definitely been carried away at least once by mothza supreme lol.

And hunnabees are absolutely Caine’s favorite of the snax! He loves all his weird snak children/pet/subject/things but you can definitely see him playing favorites with his silly bees :3

The Amazing Snaktooth Island (tadc bugsnax au) lore post :p

Basic info:

No computer! No circus! Just grumps and bugs!

Everyone is a castaway that landed on snaktooth island through various means and can’t leave. Cause yknow island bs.

Caine is their host on the island! Capable of commanding the bugs he tries his best to keep his new guests happy and safe!

Instead of abstraction castaways have been known to give in to the thrall of the snax, giving up and merging with them to become mindless aggressive snak beasts. Caine does not want this happening and tries to stop them from going too far.

Caine:

Self proclaimed Queen of Bugsnax! Not actually a grumpus, instead he’s simply mimicking them and is in fact made of bugsnax.

Grumpus form is often imperfect, typically showing one or two random snak traits (harder to hold grumpus form when angy.)

Has only ever known snaktooth island.

The castaways know he’s not a real grumpus.

As the ruler of this isle it’s his job to entertain his guests! Trying to keep them all happy and safe!

Kinger:

Has been on the island before even Caine. The reason Caine is there.

After the loss of his wife his mental state and memories deteriorated.

Ragatha:

Fell overboard while on a boat trip with her family. Washed up on the island.

Gangle:

Plane crash on her way to visit family. Only one to wash up on the island

Zooble:

Worked as a bartender on a cruise line. Cruise crashed titanic style, zooble’s lifeboat washed up on the island.

Jax:

Ran away from home and was wandering. Decided to follow a rumor of an island that people disappeared on and ended up crashing his sail boat on the beach.

Pomni:

Was recording a video about the myths about the area, ships crashing, disappearances, etc. decided to use her air ship (like the reporters) to check out the area but like everyone else crashed.
