I am a person who knows some things and I am sharing what has worked for me and my family in the past. These are things I grow in my garden. • • I always encourage you to do your own research.. related to your own current state of health and to make sure nothing will interfere with your current medications. • • Take all info on my posts with a grain of salt. And if you ever have any adverse side effects that you're concerned about stop consuming and reach out to a medical professional. • • Peppermint | is an herb grown for its taste but it is also considered to have anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Decongestion of the sinuses is a typical use. In my family it's used as an herbal tea • • Lemon Balm | is an herb grown for its anti-viral properties as well. Especially as it relates to cold sores (this is more when you make a homemade cream). Also helps with headaches and nausea. In my family it's used as an herbal tea. No more than 2 grams a day. • • Purple Coneflower Leaf (Echinacea) | is an herb that actually flowers but we use all parts of the herb for tea. It's grown because of its antioxidant properties and because it can strongly aid in fighting the flu. We drink the tea 2-3 times a day preventatively and up to 5 times when already sick. Each serving 2 tablespoons. • • Chamomile | is an herb best known as a sleep aid but it also has antioxidant properties. We drink it as an herbal tea. Please note that this is an herb that also flowers. The flowers are in the Daisy family. If you are allergic to daisies then be mindful of possible allergic reaction to chamomile.
