for some reason i just remembered a lot of my friends asked me to share my earbuds with them on the bus in middle/high school but i never once asked someone to share theirs with me cuz it always sucked lmao like i had my own ipod for a reason!! and i wouldnt wanna listen to someone elses taste in music at least not voluntarily like that and it was always super awkward cuz wed each have to use one earbud and have them in the ears closest to the other person so the earbud cord was between us and if we went over a bump it would pull the earbuds out of one of our ears lmao... so now im like wait why was that such a common thing for people to want to listen to my music with me. like were they really THAT bored??? why didnt they have their own?? like i can understand wanting to share with someone you like or are really close to like your crush or your best friend but like when i say my "friends" asked me to do that i mean yes i did that with my close friends sometimes as well like they would ask me cuz its a fun bonding moment and theyre bored but then also most of the people who asked WERENT that close with me they were just people i kinda hung out with in school cuz they were kinda part of my friend group but like on the outer edge of it where we never really had much conversation with each other but we were around each other a lot cuz our pther frieds were and out friend groups kinda overlapped? idk lol but tbh it feels like it was always the friends i was least comfortable with cuz i knew them the least that would always ask me to share my music/earbuds woth them lmao and it was always super awkward.
