ghost hill makes sense, its unfinished because sonic contains the energy it would have used to form

I think Sonic is not shattering. He is dying. Sonic's trasparent body is gray.
Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Rouge and Big, although transparent, look healthy, colorful.

I guess Sonic has three possibilities with different outcome to his body/him:
Giving up Green Hill, stabilyzing the newly created shatterspace would shatter Sonic in three different entities.
Saving Green Hill, giving up the remaining world would just make thing return back to normal. Sonic loses the prysm power but his body is alright
Most likely Sonic will choose to save the shatterspaces and restore Green Hill. He uses all the prysm energy plus extra energy from his body, this nearly kills him.
Since they showed us a so crucial scene on the trailer, there is more.
The black hole and the chaos emerald still have a important role.

I literally forgot to get back to this ask I am SO sorry… byte!! byte was made as a global military project (the global military is a future alliance of the governments of the world for the purpose of killing a god. long story) in the midwest US and left behind to rot when the objective was met. after the death of the god, the supernatural warping of natural and human habitats as a result, and the dissolution of large scale countries and governments, society turns to scavenging and researching artifacts left behind as trash. Among these artifacts is Byte, and it fascinates its finders. They bring it back to the city they hail from to fix it up and get it operational. Engineering and building things from scraps is another very popular activity, and these projects are traded around, shared and sold frequently. Since Byte wasn’t exposed to the supernatural conditions of the outside world before being found, the energy overwhelmed it and turned it sapient. Currently, Byte is a referee at a fighting ring in that same city. It lives to feel others energy and to be entertained. It loves to host, manage, control etc and has taken multiple different positions over its time in the city. It also likes to find new accessories to attach to its chassis.

The Blue Emerald and its power matches the color of the one who shattered the Paradox Prism and created the alternate "clones" of his friends and arch-enemy
The Red Emerald and its power matches New Yoke City's red Gateway and how the
Chaos Council and Resistance are heavily armed in this Shatterspace
The Green Emerald and its power matches Boscage Maze's green Gateway and this Shatterspace's jungle
The Cyan Emerald may not completely match No Place's blue Gateway, but their colors look close enough to each other and its power still matches this Shatterspace's ocean
The Purple Emerald and its power matches The Grim's purple Gateway and the hidden potential one can use in this Shatterspace
The Yellow Emerald and its power matches Ghost Hill's yellow Gateway and how time appears to be slowed down to the point of stopping in this Shatterspace
The White Emerald and its power may be the only one not directly connected to the Shatterverse, but since white is technically every color of the light, it can suit anyone's specific needs more than the other Emeralds
