I just found out that my cousin's dad got remarried. To a 20 year old. My cousin is 16. Her FATHER married someone BARELY older than she is. No wonder she's not speaking to him and moved out of the house.

Now she lives with her mom, who spends every weekday/night in a different town at work, sleeping in her second apartment, so she basically lives alone. At 16. She already raised her three little sisters. 

And, to add to that, her grandpa is going to be moving in with them at her mom's house until he dies. He's got end stage liver cancer. It could be weeks; it could be years. But her mom still spends all week in Des Moines. So that means my cousin, who is SIXTEEN, will be taking care of her dying grandfather AND the house AND dealing with two jobs, going to school out of town, and not seeing her sisters very often because she isn't on speaking terms with her dad, who married someone really close to her age.
