SHe-Box 2.0: Government's Digital Platform Strengthens Workplace Safety for Women
The Ministry of Women and Child Development has highlighted SHe-Box 2.0 as a key initiative to ensure safe, respectful and harassment-free workplaces for women across India.
Launched on August 29, 2024, under the Mission Shakti scheme, the platform allows women from government, private, organised and unorganised sectors to file complaints related to workplace sexual harassment online and track the progress of their cases.
The portal is linked with Internal Committees, Local Committees and nodal officers at district and state levels, making grievance redressal more transparent and efficient.
One of its biggest features is accessibility—SHe-Box 2.0 is available in 22 Indian languages and offers a secure and confidential environment for complainants.
The initiative aims to strengthen the implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013, while promoting safer and more accountable work environments for women.
