Poker Night
She smirked and nodded towards the stairs. “Come on, we need to be quiet.”
“Quiet? But-” James’ confusion dried up as he moved closer and followed her line of sight: Javik was passed out on the stairs, his angular red armour making him look like some kind of angry red starfish which had washed onto a rock. “Oh.”
“Oh, indeed.” Sienna raised an eyebrow at him. “Think we can make it through enemy territory without alerting him, Lieutenant?”
He nodded in mock seriousness. “Stealth mode engaged, Commander.”
She grinned and before James could wave her on, she took hold of his arm and tugged him along with her. His forearm tingled where she had told of him, and he swallowed hard to hide his nervousness as they crept up the stairs like guilty teenagers sneaking back into their house after a wild night out. Just as they drew level with the prothean the step under Sienna creaked faintly, and Javik let out a loud snore, rolling over on the stairs and muttering under his breath in a voice which seemed painfully loud in the silence.
“Mmm, not bad for a primitive, Doctor T'soni. Yes, keep going…”

ok THIS is fun!!!!!! i have shockingly never thought about allie and james (i know it could be any shepard but it's more fun this way). BUT i actually think it could work, under the right conditions. like in a world where either kaidan doesn't come back to the normandy (hurt/comfort james relationship... which... honestly, would go so hard???? how am i just now thinking of this?) or where they simply just breakup (normal james relationship)
so this is gonna be SO fun thinking about that dynamic!! i don't even know what's coming but i already feel sorry for james! which personally i take as an encouraging sign!

🧸 who still has the very first gift the other gave them?
starting off strong with this one bc it really gets to the heart of the dynamic for me and flips my assumptions on their heads.
like, one reason i can see allie with james is that she just loves emotionally available soft boys (being an emotionally constipated hard girl), and james is the softest boy.
and (as i said to @chalkituptofate a few minutes ago lol) i think james is so soft that allie would know she has to be soft so she doesn't hurt him. like with kaidan she can be on her worst behavior at all times because he can put up with it and/or push back on it.
with james i think she understands he's a lot more sensitive, he's a really sweet guy, and he'd struggle to stand up to her. she's not getting that same pushback from him, so she backs off a lot sooner so she's not bullying him. if that makes sense?
so all of that to say, i think the version of allie that's with james is a softer allie. and i think she's generally not one to keep gifts at all, but by the time they're actually together, i think she'd definitely be keeping the first gift. i think she'd be so happy to have some softness back in her and she'd owe that to james. and whatever the gift was, it's sure to be something sweet and heartwarming and would remind her of that.
😳 what's the most embarrassing thing they've walked in on the other doing?
ohhhh this is good lmao.
what i immediately envisioned for james is like, it's immediately after they start dating, or maybe very soon after he realizes oh maybe there's mutual feelings here, could there be a relationship here? and he's trying to quietly and secretly clear out all his little Shepard and Normandy SR1 memorbilia (dismantling his shrine) and then an allie-shaped shadow looms over him and he looks up fearfully and she's looking down at him like the Grinch with the evillest smile like .......whatcha doin, lieutenant? 😈
as for allie, it's harder to think what would embarrass her. i think it would most likely be him coming in and finding her doing something incredibly vain. like i think she's one of those people who is like "oh i don't really care how i look!" but spends a LOT more time on her appearance than she'd ever admit. so i think the first time he witnessed her 8 step face routine he'd be like 🤨 and she'd be like, if this gets out, just remember that i know a thousand ways to hurt you.
👀 who gets jealous more easily and how are they obvious about it?
absolutely james and he's so obvious.
i think allie is so unbothered and unjealous bc she's generally pretty full of herself (well earned, you could argue). and when she is jealous you could not torture that information out of her.
i think james is a little insecure, already probably thinks she's way out of his league (wow realizing that and typing that just made me so sad), and can be a little rough around the edges. i think he'd be that overly protective boyfriend but he'd also be easy to reign in and easy to reassure
😴 who falls asleep first and who watches them with heart eyes?
ok, this one is interesting because initially all i thought of was who watches the other sleeping with heart eyes? and it's just unreservedly james. and I think he'd do it all the time, like more than kaidan. just all the time. honestly james is so sweet
but the thing is allie would NOT be first to fall asleep, she's a horrible sleeper.... EXCEPT with kaidan. i think he's the only one that makes her feel just total safety and security. she knows james would do anything for her (and is capable) but she also knows that ultimately he looks to her. he defers to her. there's never really a point where she's sitting down and he's taking over. that's the difference.
so she struggles to fall asleep, but when he wakes up in the morning to make breakfast, he always takes a few minutes just to get his morning heart eyes out
🌪 what's the most chaotic thing they've done together on pure impulse?
this one is so fun, because it makes me realize there is no anchor on this ship lmao. these two could go so full-throttle into chaos so easily
like, i think this even comes across a bit in art appreciation: kaidan is a very important counterweight to allie. allie is a force of nature, as she says to parasini "i can bludgeon pretty hard," she needs someone who can stand up to her and withstand her, who can tell her no and reign her in (and she's ALWAYS testing these qualities in kaidan).
and i think james has some of that, especially emotionally, but ultimately i think most of the time either 1) he'd be on her side/would enable her, or 2) she would absolutely bulldoze him.
so that makes for like, so much chaos potential lol. as for the most chaotic thing?? honestly i'm struggling to think of anything specific 😔 chaos is not my strong suit 😔 all i can think of is like.... vandalism

That one was so much fun to write! Those guys really did write themselves. It just flowed. Writing James is always a good time, and Ethan Shepard (I swear to god it was a coincidence, he is NOT a self insert 😭) really became his own character. Not at all what I planned (way better, honestly).
They fell in love with each other and I fell in love with them. ❤️
This lovely lady is one of my friend @dramaqueenharley’s triplets.
Backstory - Colonist.
Background - Sole Survivor.
Class - Sentinel with a specialisation in Throw, Warp and Barrier. She can also use a dirty trick or two due to being raised by Wrex.
Alignment - Paragon with some losses of temper.
Lover(s) - Many, including Nihlus, Garrus and James. She has a lot of love to give.
Best Friend(s) - Tali, Nakmor Kesh (who is like a big sister to the trio) and Joker (who is their cousin).
Lia and her siblings, Lana and John, were celebrating their 8th birthday on Mindoir, when the colony was attacked. Luckily, Wrex happened to be in the area on a bounty hunt, when he caught the tail end of an SOS while refuelling in a nearby cluster. He travelled to Mindoir in hopes of seeing if there are any survivors and scavenging some scrap in case his ship needed repairs. Instead, he encounters three terrified, high-on-adrenaline kiddos. He immediately rescues them, taking them off world and to the Citadel, where he eventually ends up adopting them. Lia and her siblings completed the Urdnot Rite as they entered adulthood, and while they didn’t manage to kill the Thresher Maw outright, it was found dead 2 days later.
Lia tries to be stoic while on the clock, but during her down time she's a bit more free with her emotions. And she will help someone if she has the ability to do so without hurting herself. She will straight up knock someone on their ass if she sees harassment of any kind.
Possibly due to her experience with Maws, she is the sole survivor from Akuze. She has a habit of biotically yeeting people in high-stress situations, and actually ended up defenestrating Kahoku when he, Anderson and Alex Ryder came to Akuze to search for survivors (Anderson did warn him not to just barge in).
She had a fling with Spectre Nihlus Kryik during a week of shore leave before the shakedown run on the Normandy, however they only exchanged nicknames, so you can imagine the awkwardness when they come face to face on the mission.
After dealing with the Crucible, Lia’s soul is yeeted into Thedas, where she spends a lifetime (though this was actually 4 months in a coma).
