10-D for Rebecca, please.
Chose a diff outfit for her this time but I had a lot of fun w this one. :>
Sooo ya girl watched Batman: The Dark Knight Returns over the last couple of days and the moody atmosphere hit me like a ton of bricks. I def can picture sher/gavrielle being just as brutal with her demons as Bruce is in that film.
Also that movie’s version of the Joker is pure evil and I both hate/love it. Def think he’ll become inspo for how I characterize Satan for sure.
I legitimately think this is one of the best pieces I’ve made. It doesn’t feel real. Like I can’t believe I made it. I’m super stoked to play with this style again in the future bc YEAH. This moody, grayscale comic style is eating.
Because I realize January is almost over and I havent post anything, i have been mainly messing with Procreate but I did manage to finnish to gifts for @sherendipityart and Moonbean21 of their OC's Shade and Lian.
I'm terrible with descriptions so... here is two gifts I did for @sherendipityart and MoonBean21
Sheridan (c) @sherendipityart
Lian (c) MoonBean21
Hey everyone! Just letting you all know real quick that my commissions on Ko-fi are currently open! Right now I'm only offering sketches and headshots/icons so as to not overwhelm myself right away, and there are still four slots left. So if you want a little something from me and would like to support me with a little extra $$$, feel free to head over there and snag one. :> I finally have my ipad back after getting it sent off to replace the battery so I should be able to work relatively comfortably now. :>
Here is the link!
Commissions Open! Click to see Sherendipity's commission menu.
All the same rules for my regular commissions apply, and I think you'll see them when you try to order something from me. So have fun and I look forward to making some new things for you guys! :>
Okay y'all. I've got a question that I am in desperate need to figure out and this is the only place that lets me make polls big enough to explain it. So I've been battling with my MC's name for about a year at this point if not longer, and every time I come back to revisit it it just brings me even more decision paralyses and confusion. My dilemma is this, this OC is technically kindof a self-insert. That's how she started and while she has deviated a bit, I feel like the resemblance is still definitely there. Like at this point she is based on me and idk if it's possible for me to escape that with her since it's so engrained into how she's written. My problem is that she's part of an original story/universe that I hope to someday get published, whether it's as a novel or comic or whatever. And I'm not sure what to do when it comes to her first name, as it is my name. But every name I choose, while fitting for her, ends up not synergizing/sounding right when read aloud with the names of the rest of the cast. And of course that's not even counting the issue of whether her first name sounds good with her last name and whether that needs to be changed and yadda yadda yadda. It's a lot and it's a mess. In addition, it doesn't help that her name is very unique and sounds lovely (Sheridan), sounds right when spoken with the names of the other characters, and the meaning fits both the theme of the work she's in and her character as a whole ("peacemaker" in Hebrew). And yeah sure I have the option of a pen name, but would that require me to change my entire online presence in order to adapt to that persona? Bc my first name has been out there for ages and idk if it's worth it to completely overhaul that at this point. I feel like people would tilt their heads if I suddenly started calling myself Ashley or smth like that and I don't wanna make it weird pfft. I've been going around this circle for way too long and it's frustrating that I can't just pick one thing and stick to it. So, in your personal opinion, what should I do? I just wanna see what people outside of my head think.
Change her name to Rebecca anyway and live w it.
Keep her name as-is and own it's origins with pride.
Use a pen name if/when you publish.
Change her name and rename all the other characters around her.
Use a Pen name AND change her name.
Figures that I couldn't actually finish this on christmas BUT IT'S OKAY! Better late than never ig. ^^;
Anyways, I hope you all had a good Christmas! I don't think I've ever drawn the main cast all together in one drawing but seeing them together fills me with so much joy. ;w;
