So here's an illustration by sherlockedart that accompanies chapter 16 of my fic Gold Rush. It looks a bit angsty, because it is... :D

4. What’s your favorite LotR character? Well, to be honest I don't know. have to think about it. The first one who comes up to my mind is Aragorn. But is he my favourite character?

5. How far would you go for money?

Probably spend a lot of time doing something I don't really want to do while I'd prefer to do something else... I think it's called work.

6. What’s your favorite quote?

Either rain+clouds+dark+cold or sun+warm or snow.

Like? Like?? Like??? LOVE!!!!

Yes, a picture of my mom on my bedside table and a few pictures of my familiy and my friends.

11. Do you have a pet? What’s its name?

I don't have a pet anymore. I had two guinea pigs, Fleckchen and Whity, a few years ago but they died.

It had been a long time now. Too long. Three years to be exact. John had lost hope of ever seeing Sherlock alive again. But then, that was a stupid idea. How could anyone survive a fall from such a great height? Sherlock did.

Exactly three years after Sherlock Holmes had fallen from the top of St Bart’s hospital he returned to Baker Street.

“John, I’m home.” He called up the stairs as he entered the flat that he and and John had once shared.

Silence fell, but you could hear the creaks for the floor boards where John was moving around above. He then slowly mad his way downstairs towards Sherlock.

John had become very skinny from not eating and looked very tired. He was almost starting to look frail like an old man.

“You bastard!” John yelled throwing a punch at Sherlock’s face. “Three years, Sherlock! Three bloody years!” He gasped for air, the anger taking over his body.

“John, I can explain.” Sherlock said calmly.

John didn’t say a word. He just pulled Sherlock into a tight hug. John cry quietly into Sherlock’s chest. A few tears escaped Sherlock’s eyes.

“It’s good to be home.” Sherlock said quietly.

“I love you Sherlock.” Sniffled John looking up at Sherlock.

Sherlock hesitated for a moment before responding “I love you, too,” with a smile.

The rest of the day John demanded Sherlock explain everything to him and when night fell he had refused to leave his side. So that night Sherlock got a blanket and the two of them cuddled on the sofa. John wrapped tightly and protectively in Sherlock’s arms.

“I love you, John and I will never leave you again.” Whispered Sherlock.

“Thank you. I love you, too.” John responded quietly and closed his eyes.

That was the first night in three years that either of them slept properly.
