Was it strange that that Luca still wore his black ribbon neatly on his blazer despite the fact that he was going to meet his finacee for the first time? Possibly. Now, why was that such a questionable thing? Black ribbons were worn for respect and mourning. He was respecting and mourning someone he knew, someone who was important to him. However, when that someone was engaged with your current fiancee? Well, that made things a bit more complicated. More so when you’re getting married for the same reason. It was all business, as sour as it may have sounded. It was politics, a treated, an aid. 

Honestly, Luca had never been in a rush to marry, but he also was never first in line to the throne, no no, that went to his brother-- the oldest. However, that left him open to call on when his country needed help, and well, it seemed to be mutual. 

Luca moved the ribbon, pinning it under his blazer and onto his shirt instead. He didn’t want to appear as though he was in a more vulnerable place than his wife-to-be was. 

Once it was time, Luca was led to a large sitting area where he was to wait for Shioban.

I have so many thoughts on the succession finale; but here is the most loud one. I knew somewhere that this might be the way it ends. My least favourite, a toxic and manipulative character who has a fake rags to riches story, with the crown. The thing is no matter how much I hate the outcome- its so realistic right? Succession is not inspiring, its realism. So while Shiv is clearly the smartest person to lead the company, while she clearly has the intellect. And this is shown when both her father and the swede got annoyed about her whispering in their ears, having ideas - she is smart. Also the only person who had a career outside waystar. But, of course, because the boss would rather fuck her than make her in charge he chooses a guy. Not to mention the fact that her being pregnant is a hindrance but not to the husband whose baby it is. No for him its a win. How could a woman win in a misogynist world created by her dad where she has to put aside all her humanity and values to have space on the table. The most obvious realistic bit? The comments and reviews. The fact that the audience still hates Shiv. Still makes her out to be the villain- she is toxic but poor Kendall, poor poor kendall who screams at his exwife stalks her who is going to do a court case on her and beats up his brother. I mean yes sorrows sorrows prayers to him… but lol the sad part is whats happening in the show is a dramatisation of our current world, its meant to be fiction, but these reactions- they are real, a reflection of how honest and painful fiction really is.
