I do really enjoy the way this is animated. The catch of Elisa is so smoothly done. He just sort of slides to meet her. It's so gentle and yes absolutely sets off the flashing red shipping alarm in my head. I don't know if Weisman and team always knew they were going to take Elisa and Goliath the direction they did, but I can't help but suspect they absolutely did.
And the way Elisa gets so calm once she realizes maybe death is not actually 100% imminent. There's definitely a sort of shock going on here. Goliath may be saving her, but he's still a monster. That's just not what I think she sees though nonetheless. This is a lifeline. She should probably be grasping it in desperation, but her own movement to reach out to him is more slow. I wouldn't say it's wary or scared even.
The part of Elisa that is still her and not just pure survival instinct is fascinated I do believe.
Goliath looks so grimly amused. Friggin humans can't help but nearly get themselves killed constantly. XD
