"trope bias?

So far most of my ships have been a pretty clear sort of....collegues trope? Peers to lovers, even if it's just perceived.

But! I'm definitely open to more specific, and less 'wholesome' (hyperbole) tropes! A more traditional enemies to lovers or villain ship, arranged marriage, celebrity fans, or even a more straightforward dating-on-purpose thing; even if such situations might not be idealized for favourite of my muses' at first. (Results may vary)

the formula so far, barring a few exceptions, has been subtle wooing from either side. Something a bit more direct IC could be nice!

valentines day . a holiday that he never particularly had a care for , and if he had a " valentine " it was his darling mother . so when he opens his front door and sees the shining form of their partner and sees a bouquet of flowers and a paper baggy of mini cinnamon rolls with pecans sprinkled on top he's taken aback and left quite literally speechless . their jaw hangs open in quiet awe and their stubbly cheeks are now a rosy shade of pink , about the same shade as the roses that stand out the most in the bouquet . he holds his hands out to take the gifts into his hands and they smile shyly , avoiding contact with chess in case they ended up flubbing their words at all . ❝ but . . . i didn't get anything for . . . for you - how much did these flowers cost , chess ?? ❞
