On Old Tumblr

I'm the new Tumblr user who likes to lurk past posts on 'Old Tumblr', in a lie of omittance acting as if I was apart of it (let alone not even being really old enough to be so). Part of it is because of the 'Back in my day!' attitude that exalts that time and the users who were, but the other is how I truly am envious of that bygone experience.

And OK, don't come typin' at me about all fucked shit that went on, I'm enough of a fanboy to have watched every hours and hours video essay about all the ProAna, RoyalyOily toe stuff, ballpit at dashcon, user who owned a slave, toxic (and white) social justice lead by a white race swapping into a trans lesbian HIV positive escapee of sex traffic—and the rest of the toxic (and often white) social justics, etc.

My point is, that's so much better than now.

Other than the cosy nostalgia, the unabashed honesty of assholes or inflammatory characters is so refreshing to hear about. Nowadays there feels like an insidious character has taken hold, something more pervasive. Just smoke upon mirrors far as the eye can see, imbedded deep within and inoculating the chronic irony of our humour—which I partake in—yet it's so much more stressful to navigate? No-longer are the sects of extremism, left is a boiling pot animosity.

TLDR; I wish I was in superwholock.
