I didn’t cry when they sold her, but I cried watching her get on the truck to go to her new home in Michigan this morning. Queen was my last 4H project before I aged out, a good mama, and a really nice shorthorn that always brought home a banner for us. ❤️

Can Duncan come out? Shorthorns has brought him a surprise

Mac called for Duncan, who had been playing alone in his room. The young boy came trotting out obediently, stuffed bear being dragged along by the foot.

“Shorthorns!” he exclaimed with a slight lisp and Commonwealth accent that he’d been picking up. His bright blue eyes lit up and he dropped his bear behind him in favor of running toward the Deathclaw, arms outstretched to hug her leg and pat her enthusiastically.
