高槻阪急個展無事終了いたしました！ お越しいただいた皆様 作品お迎えいただきました皆様 高槻阪急の皆様 長岡さん ありがとうございましたー！ なかなか大変な時期に開催でしたが お越し頂きめっちゃ感謝です！ これからもこの状況は続きますが ドンドン発表していきます！ この作品のタイトルは「明」の日と月とつけていましたが 最初は「恩恵の日」「恩恵の月」とつけていました。 変えた理由は特に無いんですが。 この額は師匠の嶋本先生の、アトリエにあった食器棚の扉を使用して作りました。 この食器棚から食器を出して先生のご飯作っていたのが懐かしい。 亡くなってからも恩恵は常に感じて作家活動が続けられています。 今月は100年制作を続けるアート、平和の証のビン投げ 来月は兵庫県立美術館でのAU展 同時に具体展もやっていて楽しみです。 #art #art #高槻阪急 #artunidentified #AU #shozoshimamoto #具体 #兵庫県立美術館 https://www.instagram.com/p/CI1927jp0-G/?igshid=1wqtnnlbwe2jv

#layers #pastednewspapers #ShozoShimamoto #tate #WorkoftheWeek is Shozo Shimamoto's 'Holes', a painting made from layers of pasted newspapers, which have been pierced to create holes in its surface. Viewed from a distance, the work looks like a lunar landscape, all craters and bumps. 🌕 ​ ​There's an interesting relationship between the artist's choice of delicate hues, and the destructiveness action of piercing the paper. Shimamoto however, feels that his work transcends the violent nature of his techniques: ‘even if my method seems shocking and violent [...] because I am an artist my purpose is to make the work beautiful, to show the beauty of everything.
