✨Pairing: Sicheng x gn!reader
✨Prompt: The two of you meet at a cute cafe by bumping into each other and one offers to buy something for the other as an apology.
✨Word count: 1.1k
✨Genre: fluff, non idol au, strangers to friends, crush at first sight?
☀️️️Authors note: So what did you guys think of this one? I think it's rather cute and I'm happy with the outcome of it!🥰
Your day had started out fine, everything had been running smoothly, no problems at all until you arrived at the new cafe which had little swings you could sit on out on their porch. You had been eyeing them for a while now and finally, finally you manages to get there before all of them had been taken.
That's when it happened. While you were turning around with your cup of steaming hot tea someone bumped into you causing you to spill your drink everywhere just narrowingly missing your clothes, the end of your pants and your shoes weren't so lucky and the hot beverage stained them both.
"Oh no! Oh I am so so sorry I did not mean to bump into you!" The stranger was panicking, checking you over to see if he had accidentally hurt you by bumping into you.
"It's okay... Accidents happen I guess." You tried to tell him with a tightlipped smile. You could see his face dropping when he realized he made you spill your drink and also ruin your legs and shoes.
"Shit I made you spill on your legs and your shoes. I'm sorry I really didn't mean to! Here what was the beverage you had? I'll buy you a new one since I made you spill!!"
"Oh no you really don't have to it's fine." You tried to argue with him but he would have none of it, just shaking his head before walking up to the register.
"Could you please make her beverage again? I'll pay for it! It was my fault she spillt it after all! Oh and could you please also make me an iced americano??" He started to talk to the cashier before turning to you.
"You can go and take a seat I'll come to you with your new drink!"
There really was no point in arguing with him. It was cute though how worried he was and how determined he was to actually buy you a new drink.
"Okay fine. You'll find me out on the porch." You told him and he nodded with a shy smile. He was rather cute when he smiled you concluded. He had a beanie on and a nice hoodie, he truly looked really kind in your eyes. You shook your head as you walked to the porch to take your seat on a swing.
"Get yourself together y/n." You told yourself lightly smacking your hands against your cheeks.
"There you are! Here's your drink." He put yours on the table and then his own in front of yours on the opposite side before he ran back to the front only to come back with a box.
"Okay so I was gonna bring these to a picnic with my friends, but they can wait a little bit longer because I want to apologize again to you." He told you whilst opening a box containing a bunch of chocolate covered strawberries in a wide assortment of colors.
"You really don't have to. It is more than enough that you bought me my drink again. Truly." You told him with a smile and was met with that cute smile again.
"Please, I wouldn't be able to let this go if I didn't do this. I should have watched my steps when I entered instead of bumping into you!" He told you earnestly while sitting down motioning for you to take a strawberry.
"Won't your friends be mad I'm taking something you were bringing to the picnic?" you asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh no, they'd be more mad at me if I told them I only bought you a drink as an apology and didn't do more." He chuckled. "They can be very dramatic sometimes but they're good people."
"Sounds like they're great friends from the way you're talking about them." You said while hesitating at first but after he gave you an encouraging nod with that cute smile again you took a strawberry from the box.
"Oh yeah my name is y/n by the way. Thank you for the strawberry." You told him raising the strawberry up as a little toast before causing him to giggle at your gesture.
"I'm Sicheng." He says before taking a strawberry of his own doing a little toast to you.
The two of you sit and chat for a while really enjoying each other's company. You learn that Sicheng is an actor and he's in a play right now at the local theatre. His passion really making him even more beautiful in your eyes.
"Well then I truly gotta go and see you on stage!" You told him with a smile causing Sichengs own to widen even more.
"Really?! I'd love for you to come!" He said enthusiastically, you weren't sure if you were seeing it right but it looked like a blush was building on his face, his ears completely red. You decided then and there that you really really wanted his number. He was cute, really beautiful and kind and passionate about what he was doing.
"Is it possible I could get your number??" You asked boldly before the feeling of being brave would disappear and make you regret what you had just asked. Luckily Sicheng just looked happy and almost relieved you had asked for his number, nodding and fishing out his phone handing it to you. You hand him yours as you start putting in your number and name and snapped a funny picture for him to remember who you were.
"Umm... Would it be possible for me to take you out on like a date on the day you would come and see me on stage? Like afterwards? Just you and me?" He asked cheeks blossoming pink again causing you to give him a smile.
"That sounds wonderful. Just you and I. I'll text you the day I'll manage to get tickets and we could plan from there?" You told him
"That sounds great!" He was about to say something else when his phone suddenly exploded with messages and as he looked down his eyes widened.
"Shit! The picnic! Sorry! I have to go before my friends find me and have my head for being late!" He apologized taking his things rather clumsily.
"Go! Don't worry we can text more later!"
"Bye! Thank you! I'll see you on our date!!" He said before rushing out of the cafe looking panicked causing you to laugh at his slightly goofy run.
The last thing you did was open your phone and look at your new contact named Sicheng🍓 with a cute picture of him posing with a strawberry as his user contact.
"Now to find a ticket." You told yourself trying to hold back your excitement opening the website to see if there where any available in the next coming days for your date with the really cute man you had met due to an accident at the coffee shop.
Summary: Your best friend Winwin finally admits to having a crush on you, but you get scared and reject him. Only, you're starting to think you love him, too...
Genre: Friends to lovers, angst, high school AU
Word Count: 1.7k
Prompt: Are you ashamed of me? & Was it worth it?
You can’t remember the last time Winwin touched you.
You’ve been best friends your whole life. You and him - you’re polar opposites. Winwin wears steel-rimmed glasses, dark overcoats and sarcasm, you wear sunny smiles, hairbands and cake icing.
But you’re happiest when you’re together – rolling around on the sofa playfighting, tugging each other’s hair. The two of you live in your own secret paradise.
At least… that’s how it was, till a few months ago.
All of a sudden, Winwin changed.
He began to wince every time you touched his hand, ignore you for days on end, blush beetroot red if you walked in on him changing - though he never cared before.
It was like he’d been possessed. It made no sense.
That was when you realised how much you needed Winwin in your life. Without his wicked jokes, school grew boring. Was food always this bland, walking this exhausting, sleeping this impossible? It was like you’d been living in colour, only to realise that life was actually in black and white.
The one time you managed to corner Winwin – at the end of Maths class – he just avoided your eye and mumbled, Can I please get past? It was so painful you almost wished you’d never approached him.
Now, it’s Christmas Eve. As much as you protested, your mum insisted that Winwin’s family come and stay in your house for the holidays. Winwin is forced to share your bedroom, sleeping on an old air mattress at the foot of your bed.
He’s sitting on the air mattress, hugging his knees, frowning darkly. When Winwin is upset, he writes the numbers of pi on his arm till he calms down. An inky line of digits stretches up to his elbow.
“Winwin, I can’t do this anymore. Just tell me what’s wrong,” you sigh.
“Nothing,” he snaps.
“It’s not nothing.” You bite your lip. “You’ve… changed.”
You’re struck with agony again. Winwin has changed. Maybe he’s got bored of you. Maybe he’s finally realised that you’ll never be as smart, or as ambitious, or as cultured as him.
A long sigh leaves his lips. It quivers, catches in his throat and turns into a groan.
Instinctively, twine your fingers in his hair, the way you always do. A flood of pleasure fills you at the familiar touch of his soft mahogany curls. You stroke his hair gently, and feel him rest his head on your leg like always.
At the back of your mind, some idea is forming, something that could explain all of Winwin’s odd behaviour. But it’s too dim to make out.
It maddens you that Winwin is in so much pain, so close to you… yet he’s impossible to understand. He may as well be a thousand miles away.
“Just tell me!” you beg. “I promise I won’t be offended. Even if you don’t want to be friends anymore!”
Winwin laughs, the cold, cruel laugh he does when he’s angry. “If only you knew how wrong you were.”
“Then put me right,” you insist, crouching down beside him.
He looks at you, his eyes softening. He takes a deep breath.
The room is as silent as the moment before the Universe was born.
His brown eyes flashing with passion, he whispers, “I love you.”
A laugh bursts out of your mouth. You’re amused. Then, you’re shocked. Then, and strongest of all, you’re disgusted.
“Winwin, don’t be stupid. You don’t love me. You’re my best friend, for god’s sake. You’re like a- like a brother to me! I mean, I don’t blame you, I know you don’t know a lot of girls, and we are close, I guess-“
Winwin’s face is dark. “Are you ashamed of me?”
Your mouth opens, the word No on the tip of your tongue. You can’t quite say it.
Winwin’s lips shrivel up tight. He springs up, runs out of the door, bangs down the stairs and is gone.
“Wait!” You call. “Winwin!”
Your Mum rushes in. “What’s wrong, love? Have you had a fight?”
You shake your head, slumping down on the bed. “It was nothing.”
And at first, it feels like nothing.
Then, slowly, you start to feel a slight regret. It’s impossible to understand, but you feel like you’ve failed Winwin.
You kiss your parents goodnight and go to bed. Everyone can hear Winwin stomping about downstairs, but no one says a word.
In bed, the regret starts to grow into pain. It’s not pity for Winwin, or regret that you had an argument – it’s more than that. It’s a gnawing in your chest, impossible to ignore.
As you toss and turn, rain starts to beat on the ceiling, making sleep impossible. The pain has become agony. It tears up your insides, again and again, till you wonder how there are enough pieces left to tear.
You try to force the pain down, dull it with sweet memories of Christmas and mulled wine in your belly and the beauty of snow… but that only makes it stronger. What did you do to deserve this? Where has it come from?
You writhe in the blanket, sweaty, half mad. Thrashing and writhing, you grab the framed picture of you and Winwin on your bedside table and smash it against the wall.
The crash startles you. You hear a creak as your Mum gets up from bed at the other side of the house, but after a few moments, things are quiet again.
The shock has made your head fall silent. And then slowly, like the sun peeking over the horizon at dawn, you have a realisation.
You are in love with Winwin. He is the only boy you’ve ever loved.
And you might have just lost him.
Without caring for your ruined hair and sweaty face, you fling open your bedroom door and run downstairs in the dark. The floorboards are hard against your feet. The air crackles with electricity. You check in the living room, the kitchen, but Winwin is nowhere to be seen.
Your heart misses a beat.
Then – you spot him through the kitchen window, standing in the front garden in the pouring rain. His hands cupping his eyes, he’s staring up at the stars.
You hurl open the door, not caring as the icy rain slides down your back and makes your flimsy daisy-patterned pyjama top cling to your chest.
You run up to him and grab him by the shoulders. Your need for him is so intense it’s hard to speak, hard to do anything but burn.
“Winwin, I’m in love with you. I didn’t know it then, but I am,” you say, panting.
Winwin laughs cruelly again, turning away. “Don’t say things you don’t mean.”
You shake your head, your heart racing. Why can’t you make him understand?
“No, Winwin, I’m not just saying it. I feel the same way.”
He scoffs. “Look, it’s nice of you to try and make me feel better, but I can handle it.”
Frustration claws at your insides. Winwin is a child genius, so why is he being so dumb? Time is running out. If you can’t convince Winwin in the next few seconds – he won’t ever believe you.
“I mean it, Winwin, I mean it!”
His face hardens into a scowl. “Enough now. It’s starting to feel like you’re mocking me, and I don’t like it.” He sighs. “You’ve already broken my heart, must you trample on it too?”
Not knowing what else to do, you pull him close and kiss him.
For a second, Winwin’s eyes are wide open. A little squeak leaves his throat. Then, he softens, and the kiss becomes the best one of your life. His lips are icy cold against yours, but they set a roaring fire alight inside you.
As you run your fingers through those magnificent curls, you feel a little strange. The last time you touched them, Winwin was a friend. Now, he is yours. Yours to kiss, to hold, to love. Yours for life – at least, you’ll be his for life, whether he feels the same way or not.
A spark shoots through your mind, fusing all the isolated memories together. His deep blushes… his shyness when you saw him changing… his flinch when you touched his hand – it all makes sense. All this time, he was in love with you.
Winwin’s hands move down to clasp your waist, his rough palms heating your wet skin and sending tingles all through you.
The spark in your mind grows, spreads, back through all seventeen years of memories. Every single one was leading towards this moment – right from that first day a boy in nursery destroyed your sandcastle and Winwin helped you rebuild it.
You always dreaded the day you would get a boyfriend and you and Winwin would fall apart. A thrill runs through you as you realise - that day will never come. Winwin is your soulmate!
When you pull apart, your body is blazing so hot you can’t feel the rain.
“You… you really feel the same way?” Winwin gasps, his brooding demeanour gone. “Seven billion people in the world, an infinity of planets. The chances…” He is grinning like a fool.
You nod. “I was the world’s biggest idiot not to know it.”
Winwin’s face creases. “Those last few hours were agony.”
You half-smile. “Was it worth it?”
Winwin hugs you tight, knocking the breath out of you. He smells like rain, earthy and rich and sweet. “You will always be worth it.”
“I love you, Winwin.”
Winwin leans down and presses his lips to your neck. He whispers, “I love you too."

After a busy week full of work schedules and late-night Facetiming, you finally head off to your boyfriend's apartment. It was his birthday, and you had picked up his favourite cookies-and-cream flavoured cake from the bakery. You were carrying a small bag in your other hand which contained a bottle of a new perfume from Sicheng's favourite brand.
You were greeted by a hug as soon as the door opened. Sicheng looked fresh, just out of the shower. He was wearing a hoodie you had gifted to him on your 100 day anniversary a few months ago. “Happy Birthday.” You whispered into his ears as you handed him his gift.
“Oh you didn't have to.” He said as you placed the cake on his dining table, sticking in two numbered candles which together read 25.
You went up to him and put a finger on his lips. “Hush. You sound like my mother.” You said, to which he responded with a sheepish smile. “Just kiss me already.” You said, and he did exactly that, he leaned in a pressed a long awaited kiss onto your lips.
Without further ado you unpacked the cake, and took videos of him as he blew the candles out. Sicheng cut the cake and fed some to you, and you did a little happy dance because of how good it tasted.
Scooping up a bit of the frosting with your finger, you put it on Sicheng's nose. He wasn't one to lose either, as he did the same to your cheeks.
At the end you laughed at each other's state, faces red with laughter, small bits of frosting smeared onto your faces. Others would've thought that both of you looked quite ridiculous, but to each other, you looked perfect.
Sicheng wipes off your face and his with tissues, and then pulls you to the couch close to him, giving you a longer kiss this time.
And that's what you really liked. Your surroundings quiet, Sicheng's apartment kit up just dimly, the huge glass panels overlooking the whole city. You in his arms, his lips which tasted like cream, and the comforting smell of his laundry detergent coming from the hoodie.
“Just you by my side, and I'm happy.” Sicheng said, after pulling back from the kiss.

“Dong Sicheng.”
The cold voice rang out clear enough for the entire classroom to stop its mayhem and look at the duo, who earlier this week had caused a scandal big enough to spread throughout the college campus in a rapid fire.
The said boy looked up from his notebook, equally annoyed eyes meeting the voice of the owner as he frowned at her asking her to continue.
“You are sitting on my seat.” Y/N gritted, trying not to make a scene in front of the class like last time, when he had bumped into her in the cafeteria, spilling her coffee and then refusing to buy her a new one.
This wouldn’t have been so known in the college if either of them didn’t burst into a shouting competition, which ended with them having to be finally pulled apart by their friends.
“Really? I don’t see your name over here. Or do you, perhaps, own this seat?” He asked coolly, not even making attempts to move.
The class held its breath as the students now watched you turn visibly angry, your pretty brows crinkling in disbelief at his audacity.
“Do you,” she began slowly just to make sure he was well aware, “even know who I am?”
Now he raised his eyebrows.
“Does it make a difference?”
She sucked in a breath, trying to keep her composure. She really didn’t want to lash out at him. No point wasting your time and beauty on someone so infuriating.
“Look here Sicheng. You have exactly five strikes to make me love you, so do NOT waste them I’m warning you.”
“Love me? Why the fuck do I want you to love me? And five strikes for what exactly?”
She ignored the first question, going for the second instead.
“Once I mark down an enemy, I give them exactly five strikes to get on to the better side of me. Because trust me, you do not want me as your enemy.”
It was true. No one definitely wanted her as their enemy. She was, after all, one of their professor’s daughter. One of the most strict professors. And the last thing they wanted was to cross him and get themselves into trouble.
But to her dismay, Sicheng just shrugged.
“Really. You aren't worth getting back into your good books.”
Even though his comment hit her like a blow, she covered the hurt on her face quickly. She opened her mouth to retort back but was interrupted immediately.
“Sicheng! Y/N! What’s this commotion I’m seeing!” Their attention snapped back to the professor who had walked in. Her cheeks burned with embarrassment as she realised she was the only one standing up whilst everyone else had sat down already.
Embarrassed, she quickly sat down on the empty seat beside his.
“Meet me after class, the two of you.”
She glared at him and he glared back, before turning back to his notebook.
“Strike one.” You muttered under your breath.
╼ 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐈𝐈
“Fuck you.” She muttered, as she forcefully pulled out the weed from the soil, nearly uprooting the rose plant along with it.
“Careful. You definitely don’t want to be responsible for replanting those roses again.” Sicheng warned her, to which she just gave him a look of “I-know-what-I’m doing-mind-your-own-business”.
Sicheng and her had ended up being assigned to garden and tend the rose bushes in front of their college along with the gardener, who right now, had gone for a little break. This activity was supposed to be a ‘bonding time’ like the professor had instructed but Y/N really couldn’t see herself and Sicheng bonding anytime soon.
“Well, it’s all your fault we are here.” She snapped.
“My fault? How was it my fault? If you hadn’t demanded that seat was yours and just sat down on the seat next to me-”
“I’ve been sitting there for the whole week!” She exclaimed, nearly falling down in her excitement.
He shrugged.
“Doesn’t make it yours honestly.”
She humphed, and went back to working wondering when it would be lunch time soon so that she could get a break from him.
“You are gonna hurt yourself like this.” She said all of a sudden, as she noticed the way he was cutting the branches of the rose. He too, like her, ignored her advice.
And no sooner had those words escaped her mouth, Sicheng let out a gasp as one of the thorns pushed into his skin.
He yanked the gloves out of his hand, and cursed lightly at the sight of the thorn stuck in his finger.
She tsked at him as he began to take it out, causing him to stop. He looked at her dryly and she beckoned him closer to her. Sicheng rolled his eyes but nonetheless edged closer to her.
Taking his hands in her now ungloved ones, she expertly pulled out the thorn from his finger. It was done so fast he didn't even have the time to reach.
Sicheng stared at his finger in amazement, as he watched a small trickle of blood come out.
"Come on." She said, throwing away the thorn and standing up. He looked up at her in confusion.
"Where to? We aren't done yet-"
"We need to apply antiseptic and a band aid on that." She pointed, already hopping out of the soil onto the hard pavement. Then looking at him she said again, " We don't want that to become infectious now, do we?"
Sicheng stared at her. All of a sudden, it was like she was a whole different person. Now that they weren't fighting like usual, he wondered why others called her "sweet", a value he was always sceptical about associating with her.
She waved at him.
"Earth to Sicheng? Are you okay? Or did you lose too much blood?" She snickered.
Her snide remark jolted him back to the present, and he rolled his eyes and quickly got up, following her inside.
The coolness of Y/N's room was a blessing against the sweltering heat they had to garden in.
Presently, Sicheng found himself sitting on the bed next to the girl he detested the most, as she took out the ointment and band aid.
himself sitting on the bed of the girl he hated the most, right next to Y/N. His hand was on hers and all of a sudden the room seemed to feel hot.
Gently, she dabbed the ointment on his finger and it stung a little, causing him to wince.
She looked at him concerned and for a second Sicheng felt his heart stop.
“Are you okay?” She asked softly. He opened his mouth to speak but no sound came out as he stared at her instead. The sunlight coming from the window beside her bed lit her up, accenting her features more. Her hair stuck on to her slightly sweaty forehead but somehow he found that it made her look more natural. …And more beautiful. Despite being sweaty, he could still get a whiff of her soap, and Sicheng felt his stomach flip a little.
He gulped, trying to remember her question. What was that she had asked?
She raised an eyebrow at him and he felt his cheeks burn, as he looked away hastily clearing his throat.
“Uh, I-”
The door to her room opened with a bang, causing both of them to jump apart, not that they were doing anything inappropriate.
“Hey baby.” Jung Jaehyun strode into the room confidently, and Sicheng watched as Y/N’s face broke into one of the brightest smiles he had ever seen.
Confidently, Jaehyun leaned down and pecked her lips, and she let out a small giggle.
Suddenly Sicheng felt a sharp pain in his chest, and he frowned, wondering what even was this emotion.
“Hi, Jae! How did you know I’ll be in my room?” She asked, still smiling at him like a person madly in love. Which she probably was.
“I didn’t actually know you’d be there here. I, uh, came to get my jacket!” She didn’t seem to notice him stuttering but a small part of Sicheng was nagging as the scene he had seen a few days ago kept replaying in his mind. If she was his girlfriend then who was she?
“Ah yeah! You left it last night!” She said, reaching for something behind her bed and pulling out a leather jacket. She handed it over to him with a smile.
“Hey!” Jaehyun said, acknowledging Sicheng for the first time. Maybe it was his imagination, but he could surely see the panic in his eyes. Did he know that Sicheng had seen that?
“Hey man. How are you?” He asked, to which the other boy just shrugged.
“Good good. By the way, Johnny invited us over to his house tomorrow. Both of you too. So you better be ready okay?” Jaehyun said, waving them goodbye and zooming out of the room faster than he had come in. No sooner had the door closed in front of them, Sicheng whipped towards Y/N as she quietly put the band-aid on his finger, a small smile still lingering on her face.
“Jaehyun is your boyfriend?” He asked incredulously.
She raised an eyebrow.
“Yeah and?”
He opened his mouth to tell her what he had seen but for some reason, he couldn’t get himself to tell her the truth. Maybe it was the fact that he didn’t want to see her heartbroken.
“He’s an asshole.”
The words slipped out of his mouth before he could even comprehend what he was saying.
“Excuse me?” She screamed, pushing herself away from him.
“I said, he’s an asshole.”
“Oh is that so? You know who else is? You.” She spat, venom in her every word.
Sicheng felt his patience snap as he looked at her annoyed.
“Maybe I am. But he’s a bigger asshole. And honestly you would be the biggest one if you didn’t believe me.”
He felt himself fall from her bed onto the hard floor as Y/N pushed him off her bed, seething with rage.
“Asshole.” She hissed. “Get out of here. I don’t even want to be anywhere near you.”
Sichneg got up nonchalantly, brushing himself up. He walked towards the door, and finally looked at her once more before leaving.
“Trust me, you’ll regret loving him.”
“Strike two!”

“Do you think this looks good on me?” She muttered, looking at herself in the mirror. She saw the girl beside her roll her eyes, clearly bored with her long choosing process.
“Goddammit Y/N! You look good in all! Just pick one!” Minjeong groaned, tired of the long shopping session they had. Their hands were overflowing with bags of clothes but Y/N still couldn’t seem to decide on the perfect clothes.
“Hmm but I want a perfect one for Jae!” She giggled. Her best friend sighed angrily, before walking up and throwing her original clothes at her.
“Wear these. Or I’m leaving you this instant.”
Y/N frowned at her hurriedness, but nonetheless changed back to her clothes and stepped out of the dressing room.
She walked out of the dressing room and straight to the counter, where Minjeong was already billing for her clothes. Finally paying for her things and being handed her bags, she rounded around only to bump straight into someone.
Her bags fell from her hand and she let out a small oof.
“Oh it’s you again.”
The familiar voice caused her to look at the speaker, and she scowled at Sicheng.
“What are you doing here?” She asked, irritated to see him.
He raised an eyebrow too.
“What, do you own the store too now?” He snockered.
“You shouldn’t step outside. There’s people outside who look like they want your head on a platter.”
“Aww, jealous?”
“Jealous of you?” She snickered. Sicheng rolled his eyes, before bending down to pick up her bags and handing them to her.
She looked at him in surprise as she took the bag from him, still unclear on why he helped her.
“We should stop fighting over petty stuff.” He leaned in and whispered, before walking away. She whipped around to stare at his reiterating figure, only for her thoughts to be broken by Minjeong’s laughter.
“Your cheeks are burning oooh!”
Y/N turned away embarrassed, before pulling her still laughing best friend out of the shop.
“That will be strike three Sicheng.”

“Hey, what are you doing here?” Sicheng asked, frowning at the girl sitting all alone in the corner of the room. The room was very poorly lit and he couldn’t see her face clearly, so he sat down beside her.
Y/N turned towards him sniffling, and he froze as he saw her tear stricken face.
“Y-Y/N? What’s wrong? What happened?” He asked her, trying to hide the worry in his voice.
“Sicheng.” She whispered, in the most vulnerable voice and he felt himself automatically wrap his arms around her. She too leaned into his touch. “Sicheng I’m sorry.”
“What are you sorry for?” He asked.
She looked up at him and he felt his heart shatter into a million pieces. What had happened?
“I-I’m sorry for c-calling you an asshole. You were right about Jae-” She broke down into tears once more, unable to complete her sentence. He pulled her into a crushing hug, as though it would stop her pain. “I’m sorry. I should have trusted you-”
“Hey hey hey. Shh. Calm down first okay?” he whispered, gently patting her back. "Of course you wouldn't trust me. It's not like we were on good terms."
"I should have listened to you." She mumbled into his t-shirt again, and he guessed that she was drunk.
He dearly wanted to let her go and find Jaehyun, and give him the lunch he deserved but a small part of him didn't want to let go of Y/N. It was as though if he let her go, she might get hurt again.
"I'm sorry. I should have explained to you why. This is partly my fault too." He muttered into her hair, rocking her gently.
She looked up at him once more and Sicheng felt his heart stop. She looked so beautiful that he wanted to pause this moment just to stare at her forever.
"Why didn't you tell me then, though?" She asked.
He gulped, and decided to tell the truth.
"Because I didn't want to break your heart."
The yellow light was throwing a faint glow on her face as she stared at him with slightly parted lips. He felt his breath flatter as she leaned in slightly.
And before he knew, her lips were on his, kissing him gently. He felt her clutch the collar of his t-shirt tightly as he pulled her in closer with a quick jerk, wanting to feel her touches more.
His head was spinning like crazy, and the more he tried to figure out what was going on, the more he found himself lost.
It was like the only thing in his mind was the feeling of her lips against his, the softness of her clothes under his fingertips…
Sicheng had kissed many girls before from his thousand different flings and girlfriends but kissing Y/N was somehow different. It felt more...natural. And it felt more true.
The kiss was over too soon in his opinion and the next thing he knew, he was staring at her swollen lips, the urge to kiss her again much stronger.
But she was drunk and he didn't want to do something that might cause her to regret later.
Slowly, she leaned in so that their lips were brushing against each other's.
"That's strike four. For not telling me."
He found himself laughing as he got up, pulling her with him.
"You'll be thanking me later. But now let's get you home." And he prayed that she got over Jaehyun as quickly as his heart was beating right now.

The door to the small cafe swung open, revealing a shivering man as he quickly stepped inside. Once he was inside the warm and comfortable coffee shop he stopped shivering, looking around for someone.
Sicheng's eyes finally landed on Y/N's, as she waved at him happily.
He walked over to her, taking a seat opposite to her.
"Hello." She said sheepishly.
"Hello. How are you?" Sicheng asked, smirking at her shy attitude.
"Good good. How's your holiday going on?" She asked.
Y/N had asked him whether he wanted to meet up during the holidays in her favourite cafe, to which he immediately agreed. Even though he didn't want to look too eager, he didn't want to lose this opportunity to meet her too.
What he had never told her was during this small friendship which had bloomed between them, he had fallen madly in love with her. His mind kept wandering back to that night when they had kissed, but she never mentioned it, nor did he bring it up assuming that she had forgotten it.
Nonetheless, he loved everything about her. Her stubbornness, her laughter, her beauty and her everything.
Even though he saw her everyday, it was like he was falling in love with her every time he saw her.
Even now, as he saw her smile at him, he felt his head go dizzy at her beauty.
"I hope you don't mind but I ordered my favourite cake for you!" She said, peering at him curiously.
"Nooo I don't want to try what you like!" He whined. Her face fell a little and Sicheng felt his heart break a little but he suppressed it for the laughter bubbling inside him. "That's alright. I'll get you something else-"
"I was joking." He grinned.
She opened her mouth and closed it, trying to process what he had just said. Then she glared at him, pouting at him.
They talked for a long time, eating their cakes and drinking their coffee after which they decided to go for a walk in the park.
Sicheng made sure to walk close to her, but he didn't have the courage to wrap his arm around her and pull her in closer.
“Oh look!” She said suddenly, pointing at the sky. He looked up to see tiny snowflakes fall from the sky, and he looked at Y/N again. He felt his heart explode to see her happy, as the snow fell in her head like a halo, making her look like an angel.
Her eyes flicked to his and she stared back at him, time frozen for both of them.
Slowly, her eyes fluttered close and Sicheng saw her lean into him slowly. He felt something pull him towards her too, as he gently wrapped his arms around her waist.
But just before her lips touched his, he moved his face a little, a wicked smile on his face. Her lips met his cheeks and she drew back horrified, but then glared at him as she saw his smirk.
“Sicheng! Strike five!” He felt her push herself away from him.
“Just kidding!” He said hastily, quickly pressing his lips on her. He wasn’t going to waste his strikes. Not this time at least.

One thing you loved about your son was how bright and innocent he was, if he got hurt he wouldn't say a thing, brushing it off then going back to playing with you. He absolutely loved you, loved being with you and in your arms.
He was the sweetest kid in the world and always thought of his father, since he wasn't allowed to speak to Sicheng, he could only draw pictures of them, you hated how Sicheng acted towards your only child, he always acted as if the child wasn't there, that it was just the two of you.
'The only reason why he's still alive is because of you, if you ever dare go against me, defy me or try to escape me, the boy will be punished.'
Those words from Sicheng stayed locked in your head, the first time so much of your attention was on your som, Sicheng was angered to the core, wishing he had gotten rid of that child since birth, he grabbed the boy from your arms and kept the baby away from you for months. During that time, you begged Sicheng to bring him back, you swore you'd obey him, stay with him. It was only until you finally agreed to marry him that he brought your son back to you.
As much as he hated seeing the child in your arms, he kept it that way and every scenario you got into with Sicheng, He would use your son as leverage against you to do as he says.
Now a few years after you marry Sicheng out of the sake of your son, You sit with your son out in the gardens, planting some seeds in the fresh soil, enjoying the hot sun that kissed your skin.
"Mommy look at this!" Your son kneels down pointing at a ladybug that rested on one of the flowers.
You look over and smile, "Pretty isn't it? Do you know what it's called?"
"It's uh- uh.." Your son takes a minute to think, "It's a l-ladybug!" He smiles widely, "I remember, Mommy told me about them y-yesterday."
"I did tell you about them yesterday, you're so smart." You say leaning in to kiss the top of his head then his cheek.
He giggles and pats the soil around the flower, not long after you feel a cold breeze from behind you and a shadow comes over the both of you, making you and your son turn back.
"Ms. Y/n, Your husband wants you in his study room." A guard says.
"Okay." You nod standing up, taking off your gloves, you hold your hand out to your son to follow, but the guard stops you.
"Just you." He says.
You look to your son who stares up at the guard, gently placing your hand on his cheek so he'd look at you. You lean down to his height, pushing some of his hair out of his face.
"Mommy's going to be right back, okay?" You say softly.
"Okay!" He smiles innocently at you, "I'll stay h-here with ladybug and plant more pretty flowers for you!"
"Okay." You smile leaning forward to kiss his cheek, "Don't have too much fun without me."
He giggles and goes back to the flowers, putting his gloves back on.
You're taken away from your son, looking over your shoulder once more to see him. Then your brought to Sicheng's study room where he was standing by the large windows that looked down to the garden, there you peeked seeing your son was playing and enjoying himself.
"You've seem to forgotten about me since he's returned from his camping trip." Sicheng turns away from the glass and at you.
"What?" You chuckle a bit, "I didn't forget about you."
"You have.." He leaves the window and walks over to your figure, you freeze in place as he gets close to you, bringing one hand up to caress your cheek, "My wife has forgotten about me already."
You don't say anything to afraid he'd hit you right there.
"Do you want me to send him away ? Do you want him to be raised in a boarding school far from you?"
When you don't answer, it fuels his anger and both his hands are quick to move to your throat, immediately tightening his large hands around it.
Your hands quickly grab onto his wrist, "S-sicheng." You manage to say.
He chokes you harder, you're air supply beginning to cut off, your knees grow weak and you try your hardest to get his hands off you, scratching him as hard as you can.
"When I ask you a question, you answer right away." He growls at you, watching you becoming desperate for air.
Before you faint, he lets your throat go, Before you fall on your knees he holds you and holds you close.
"My apologies, darling..." He holds you to his chest, his grip around is so tight you thought he's break one of your bones.
"You know how I get.." He says once again.
"I-it's okay." You have to say to avoid another near death experience.
He stay like that for a bit, holding you close to him, patting your back softly.
"But you truly have forgotten about me, you didn't even bother to wake me this morning.." He lets you go for a bit and looks at you in the eyes, "If this happens again, I will make sure he doesn't return back here."
You look up at him nearly on the verge of tears.
"Do you understand?" Sicheng cups your face in his hands.
"Y-yes sir.." You gulp.
Outside the door that was slightly cracked open, your son stood there holding the ladybug in his hands... he'd witnessed everything that happened, backing away from the door, he realized his dad was a monster.

Mornings with Sicheng are easy.
They’re nice and slow, with the bright morning light seeping into the small apartment through the windows, reflecting upon the hardwood floor in a bright shade of ember as a product of the mustard-yellow curtains. They’re calm and steady, with the scent of freshly-brewed coffee and the taste of fresh fruit, accompanied by the mellow beat of soft 70’s songs emanating from a nearby record-player. They’re a small pocket of heaven, a strong feeling of comfort bottled up into a present moment, each minute feeling more like a dream than the last.
And they’re like that because you’re with him.
You don’t notice the moment he walks out of the bedroom, his footsteps swift and quiet, quickly moving across the living room and into the kitchen. He runs a hand over his face as a way to try and fight the sleepiness, rubbing over his eyes and suppressing a yawn as he keeps his sight trained on your back.
You’re busying yourself with the milk frother, two cups of steaming coffee next to you as you keep your finger pressed on the small button that powers the device. He hadn’t felt the exact moment you left the bed, but it had only taken him a few minutes to miss you sleeping next to him, to miss your scent and your warmth, and he had catched on pretty quickly.
“You weren’t supposed to be up so early,” you say, back still turned to him, while you pour the foam from the frothed milk into the coffee cups. You try your best to make them look nice, smoothing it over with a spoon, but you quickly learn that it’s not really as easy as it looks. “You’re normally still in bed at this hour.”
“Ah, you say that to me,” he responds, placing his arm over the table and letting his chin rest on top of his hand. “I really missed the morning cuddles, you know. They’re a vital part of my morning routine. And… yeah, the real reason I’m usually still in bed at this hour.”
He smiles, reminiscing in the ghost of a touch, feeling the warmth that came with the sunshine swallowing him whole. It’s moments like this when Sicheng isn’t completely sure if he’s out of a dream or still in one, with the sight of you working quietly in the kitchen and the soft, almost translucent veil of light that envelops everything around you. It’s moments like this when Sicheng feels like he’s been living inside a movie, the most beautiful one, with romance comprising every scene and love seeping into his every pore.
It’s you, and the love you feel for him, so real and so tangible, that makes moments like this feel as magical as they do.
“Well, you see, part of the plan of us having breakfast in bed were the post-meal cuddles,” you say as you walk over to him, holding both cups and placing one in front of him once you reach him. “Post-meal birthday cuddles.”
Sicheng looks at you, smiling in your direction before you walk to get the bowl of fruit and a pair of forks, and he’s not really expecting to see you opening the fridge before making your way back to him, but you do. And he’s not really expecting to see you pull out a cake covered in pastel yellow icing and decorated with small blue flowers, but you do, and he’s sure, in that precise moment, that he’s the happiest he’s ever been. And it’s all because of you.
You set the cake in the middle of the table, carefully so as to not disturb the single candle you had placed on top, moving to stand next to Sicheng before you light it up. He watches the little flame, faintly hearing your voice as you tell him to make a wish, but he quickly realizes there’s nothing he could ever wish for that he doesn’t get from your touch. From your love. From you. He has everything he could ever ask for, and everything he could ever want, in that small kitchen with the hardwood floors and the bright, golden sunlight.
“Happy birthday, baby,” you say as he blows the candle, placing a soft, quick kiss on the top of his hair. His hands, once on the table, move so they can find yours over his shoulders, and he leans back into your touch. And you, just like that, are the best kind of dream.
Mornings with Sicheng are easy, and they’re calm, and they’re tender. And, every once in a while, they’re golden, too.

Also, the part two for his will be between Yangyang and Hendery’s part since they’ll play a role in bringing them together. So don’t be shocked that it’s out of order i did it on purpose I swear. Also I modeled this character after my little sister who also helped me edit it. If it’s not like you own experience with people on the spectrum, please remember that not everyone is the same and that the spectrum is more like a push and pull circle and not a line!

After a long day of confusing yet invigorating college classes, Sicheng finally managed to make his way through the pack’s front door and plant his two feet directly opposite his bedroom door.
When his arm exhaustedly turned the polished knob to open it, he was met with the all too welcoming site of his greatest escape: your shared bedroom. And that’s where he found you. You were curled up in the fetal position, crying your little heart out while rocking back and forth underneath your puffy comforters.
The scene was both surprising and chilling to him for more reasons than one.
It wasn’t that he was uncomfortable with seeing you express such emotion. He just wasn’t used to it in the slightest. He wasn’t used to seeing you show such… weakness?
Not that he thought crying was a sign of weakness or that he thought you were weak. No, you were far from it. You were quite literally one of the strongest and most level headed people Sicheng had ever met. You had been through so much in your short life.
You were abandoned at an orphanage when you were young because your parents didn’t want to deal with your unique needs and had to hide your neurodivergency from a country that refused to admit people like you even existed.
You lived through the traumas of war, the hauntings of famine, and the phantoms of hunger. From being beaten bloody by bullies who didn’t understand you to scrounging for scrapes to keep yourself alive, you were someone that, as much as society tried to kill, refused to yield to the grand designs harsh scheme.
The list of events from your harmful past was damn near endless at this point. You had gone through so much more than he had or probably ever would, yet you never once complained. You never once batted an eye or gave up. You had never once cried in the six years he had come to know and love you.
You were someone he looked up to (albeit figuratively of course because you were incredibly short even by Chinese standards) and so he considered you a force to be reconned with. He considered you a stronghold of unbreakable cement foundation, a much needed light at the end of life’s all too dark tunnel.
So the image was simply something he had never expected to see from you. Much of the time, you prided yourself on your hardened exterior that you presented to the world.
Even during the most trying of times you refused to let your guard down, much like Sicheng himself. It’s why you fit together so well. Like two pieces of the same hazed puzzle board finding their way together after having been apart for too long.
You both understood you each needed space and liked to keep your distance from most people over 90% of the time. You both respected the boundaries you had unspokenly set together during the course of your relationship.
But lately, the lines between your boundaries felt more like wedges. He had noticed that cooled persona you tried so hard to keep had begun tearing at the seams. He couldn’t understand why it was happening as feelings weren’t really his forte either.
Though he knew your situation was always… different than his own. And so over the years he had learned how to help you when you had your different episodes, which was something in itself he had to adjust to as he hadn’t even realized that ‘episodes’ could mean different things at different times before you met.
He figured out what situations were okay to physically comfort you and which situations required him to get you as far away from everyone else as possible.
He found that loud noises could make you struggle more than others at times, so he bought you easily foldable sound canceling headphones that you could always have at the ready if you went out to block all the extra commotion out.
Not that you even really went out of the house much since you had all arrived to the foreign land you now lived in as you were self conscious about being the least fluent in Korean, but still. He thought you could even use them in the house when the pack got too loud, and you did.
He noticed that when you moved your hands up and down in a hurry, it usually meant you were super happy. But he also knew that the stimming usually meant that there was a higher possibility of you being overstimulated and that you needed to tread lightly in whatever it was you were doing to not overwhelm yourself.
He quickly realized that if you started rocking back and forth on your heels, it usually meant you were close to having a meltdown because you were never taught how to deal with certain situations growing up and now they sent you into a fight or flight mode.
And by your relationship’s current milestone, he had also taught himself to watch you even while having to give his undivided attention to something else to look out for your little cues no one else could seem to pin point. He was always prepared to drop everything he was doing to help you or care for you in times where he knew you’d be unable to properly care for yourself because of your own personal struggles.
Sure Sicheng still struggled with expressing his own emotions, but he was working harder on outwardly showing them for both of your sakes. He didn’t want things to end up being made more difficult later on in your lives due to the fact that neither of you properly could present your wants and desires to others. He knew that wasn’t healthy.
He also knew however, that since your strain with it had been naturally hardwired into your brain at birth, it should be up to him to pick up any and all extra slack when it came to the matter. He didn’t want you to feel you had to change in the slightest and he knew it would be less traumatic for him to work on his troubles than you anyways. It just made more sense.
Now though, everything was evidently even more different than you had been used to.
Now, he could see your once icy front thawing before him every time he looked in your piercing eyes. Little by little, the once vibrant fire lit behind them had transformed into a barren ash filled wasteland of misery and despair.
Unlike everyone else, he could tell that when you were looking at someone you were really looking right through them and not at them. It was like you were just going through the motions. Like you were just a thin shell of your once eagerly analytical self.
He had attempted to figure out what was wrong multiple times, though every time you just brushed his questions off and told him not to worry about such things. You still went on with your day of scolding the younger members of the pack and doing your Korean lessons so you could one day integrate more into the new society you all found yourselves in like it was nothing, all while giving him a simple tight lipped smile here and there in the hopes of putting off the illusion that you were doing okay.
But even with your reassuringly hallowed words, he still couldn’t help but to be greatly concerned for you and often wondered if one day you’d finally admit you weren’t doing as well as everyone thought you were.
He debated whether your answers were just as void and empty as your once beautiful eyes had become or if you truly somehow meant them.
And, as he stood in his doorway listening to the echoing room of cries with a heavy heart, the spectacle he was met with confirmed his suspicions that you were indeed struggling more than you were letting on.
Though some part of him actually thought you exhibiting such obvious sorrow was a step in the right direction in you accepting and coming to terms with the inner demons you seemed so hell bent on running away from, a bigger part of him just wished you didn’t have to deal with it at all to save you the hurt you must’ve no doubt been going through.
“My love,” Sicheng cooed, kneeling beside you after he made his way into the room and shutting the bedroom door behind him, “What’s wrong?” He questioned, gently rubbing what he could only assume was your back based on your current body outline once he deemed it safe to touch you.
You were completely encased by a mountain of security blankets, something you had done to fake protection for yourself since you were a little girl, only leaving one tiny hole near your face to breathe. But it was enough for him to hear your sobs and whimpers clear as day.
And it nearly broke his heart in two. He wasn’t sure what was wrong but he knew that, despite your emotional barriers as individuals and as a couple, he would do whatever it took to cease the never ending sadness he could see now troubled you.
In a hurry once you noticed his presence, you wiped underneath your eyes, did your best to give your voice some stability, and sat up in your place as quickly as your aching body would allow you, “N-Nothing is wrong. W-What makes you say that something’s wrong?” You stuttered, hoping the boy in front of you wouldn’t notice the hesitation you gave off.
But he did. He always noticed when your mood changed. How could he not? You were his mate after all and your happiness and comfort was his number one priority.
Though you both knew he was far better help when it came to physical expression much like yourself, he would do his best to emotionally support you no matter what. Even if he was still continuously learning how to show that type of affection to another person smoothly.
“You’re crying. I’ve never seen you cry before baby,” Your mate replied softly to your originally rhetorical question, causing you to hang your head in shame.
If you could’ve heard him coming, you would’ve immediately stopped crying and started fixing your appearance to hide your outburst. But you didn’t have his hearing, so he caught you in the act you’d always hoped he’d never have to bare witness to.
After he gave you a minute to respond and received nothing, he tried to coax you into speaking with him about whatever it was that was bothering you in as loving a way as possible, “You keep saying everything’s fine but i don’t think it is. Are you sure there’s nothing you wanna say?”
He hesitated before he asked his next set of questions that singed the tip of his tongue.
Sicheng really didn’t want to have to ask, no one would given the circumstances. In fact, he may have actually dreaded asking because he was so fucking terrified your answer would be a blunt yes. But he had to know.
Even if knowing the truth would hurt him as much as you were hurting. It was important to lay all the cards out on the table nonetheless. For all your sakes.
So he let the spitfire words slip out of his mouth, “I-is it the baby? I-is that what’s wrong? A-Are you upset that the baby’s coming soon?” He worried in jumbled broken mandarin while laying his large hand on your growing stomach, causing you to wince internally at the panicky tone you knew he was intentionally trying to mask.
But even you could tell when the tall boy was scared. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why he was either. If your answer was yes to any of the asked questions he had asked, it meant you were both truly fucked one way or another.
You bowed your gaze and circled your swollen palms around your rounded belly, holding Sicheng’s hand in place as tears glided the waterlines of your eyes.
The baby in your body was now about 7 months along. At least, that’s what you figured based on your own calculations.
Because of the baby’s parentage, you couldn’t go and actually see a real doctor. The closest thing you had to one in your pack was your mate, but he was as lost as the rest of you when it came to children. It was all new territory for everyone in the pack.
The only one with any experience with babies in your household was Yangyang and Ten, both of whom had younger siblings. But even they were too young to really remember what having a baby around was like. It was basically the blind leading the blinder and even though they were all doing their best to help, you couldn’t help but think as though you were on your own.
You felt truly awful. How could you explain everything to Sicheng without feeling like the world’s worst person and most shitty mom when you yourself weren’t even sure your answers would be what you meant to say?
Feeling emotions and expressing them out loud was never something you excelled at. You were getting better at it for sure as you had been working day in and day out on ways to improve what you considered a problem before the baby came.
But that still didn’t mean you felt at ease with addressing everything weighing on you out in the open. He may have been your mate, but how could you feel okay with expressing them to another person when you weren’t even okay with expressing them to yourself?
When you first realized you were pregnant, you weren’t really sure what to do. You weren’t sure you ever even wanted kids, yet there you were holding a pink and blue positive pregnancy test as the pack jumped up and down at the thought of having a baby around. You froze on the outside while on the inside you thought of everything wrong with the situation.
Many of the boys had a very childlike manner themselves, so of course they wouldn’t realize that a baby was a living breathing person who required a lot of care, attention, and hard work. They only saw the cuteness and the fun that could surround them. But you knew the truth. And it terrified you.
You weren’t always emotionally stable, and neither was your mate for that matter. And since you were never really too sure on how far along you were, there wasn’t really a way for you to do anything about it even if you wanted to. Going to a normal doctor could’ve hurt the pack which was something you’d never do.
As the pack celebrated around you, you watched through the corner of your eye as your mate tried his best to hold back a joyful smile as he waited for your reaction to the news of the baby.
Not wanting to upset anyone or to hurt your mate’s feelings, you gave a more flatlined one back and cracked some stupid dry faced joke in an attempt to lighten the ever sinking weight growing atop your shoulders. But inside you were screaming in horror.
What if you said something irreversibly wrong? What if you screwed up what you meant because you couldn’t find the right words? What if you faultered in a language that wasn’t your native tongue because you got too frazzled? Or worse, what if your real answer ended up upsetting the love of your life and made him hate you the way you hated yourself?
Even as a million different scenerios and thoughts raced through your frantic mind, you couldn’t help but steal a glance up at the frazzled wolf in front of you.
As much as you wished you didn’t have to say anything for your own sake and security, you knew it wasn’t fair to keep your mate in the dark about your mental health. Especially because he had been visibly worried about you since you had left your home in china.
He asked you every morning when you woke up and every night before you went to sleep if you were okay, something he never used to do because he never felt there was anything upsetting you.
He used to be able to read you like a book. Knowing when you were hungry, exhausted, frustrated, or distressed were things he used to pride himself on since he had never been able to do that with anyone until he met you.
But since you got pregnant and had to leave everything you managed to build for yourselves behind due to the war, his instincts just told him something was wrong with you. Really really wrong.
And it seemed to just be getting worse, him catching you crying your eyes out in your shared room being a prime example of that.
So you mustered up the courage to look the elvin featured older boy in the eye, “I-It’s not about the baby. I mean-it is! But it-it’s not. I don’t even know I-”
“Just- just breathe and take your time baby,” Your mate calmly pushed a piece of stray hair behind your ear and gave you a small peck on the nose to encourage you, which in turn set your cheeks on fire.
You were never so open with your touches with each other except during your… sexual interactions. If you two were in public together before you had gotten pregnant and were actually allowed to leave the house, no one would’ve ever thought you were even romantically involved based on how you interacted with one another.
Of course, now that you were expecting, he had gotten much more protective and territorial over you. Even going as far as to put the arm that was seemingly glued to his side over your shoulders at dinner to assert some sort of primal dominance over his younger brothers.
But actually kissing your skin with small gestures of innocent love attached to it when you weren’t trying to get it on wasn’t something the two of you did. So it flustered you a bit more than you cared to admit.
You quickly shook off your sudden startled trance and took a deep breath, trying to wrap your mind around the topic at hand. You had to focus. You had to at least attempt to give him the answers he deserved or you’d just hate yourself even more.
“I-I just-” You began, closing your eyes to stop more tears from flowing down your face, “I just don’t know if I’ll be good at this whole m-mothering thing Winnie.”
The all too familiar stinging sensation began pricking itself to your eyes as you guiltily admitted your secret shame to the father of your child, “I-I want the baby, I- I do. Or at least, I want to love the baby. I just- I don’t think I’m cut out for this whole mom thing because… because of how I am…”
You could almost sense the hesitation and abrupt stiffness in your mate. He had an unreadable face that made you feel awful.
You dropped your head to spare your heart from anymore stray emotional strikes. He must’ve been so upset with you.
Sicheng wasn’t the best with words, but his actions, or rather his lack there of, spoke the volumes his voice couldn’t seem to reach. He must’ve hated you in that very moment. And you couldn’t blame him one bit for it.
Just as you were only starting to prepare yourself for him to start actually freaking the fuck out on you, you unexpectedly felt the bed dip behind you followed by a pair of strong muscley arms encasing themselves around your previously uncovered torso.
“W-Wha- I don’t under- I mean- Aren’t you mad at m-” You stuttered out in surprise while also slowly finding yourself melting into the love of your life’s warm embrace.
His hold always settled your nerves without even trying. As much as your mind told you to remain guarded, your body couldn’t help it. It was just how the damn mating pull worked.
You experienced a strange vibration feeling against your back, which was something you had come to know as a form of a instinctual purr emitting itself from his rib cage, “No, my love. I’m not mad or upset with you. I’m proud of you.”
Now it was your turn for a sudden move, one that had you shifting your position so that you could look Sicheng in his relaxed golden eyes, “Y-You are?”
“Yes baby. I am.”
It wasn’t that the two of you didn’t have feelings. You did have them, and at great depth at that. But you couldn’t always understand or explain them. And you struggled to accept them.
It may not have seemed like it to you, but you vocalizing your concerns just proved to him that you were giving it your all to be the best mother you could possibly be. And that was something that elated him to no end.
He turned you fully around so that you were sat completely in his lap with your hands and face planted firmly on his shoulder in snugness.
“I- I just don’t want the baby to grow up the way I had to. I- I’m afraid I’m passing my… issues down to them. It’s bad enough they would get stuck with me as a mother, but to have them also actually be like me? No child would ever wants to be anything but normal. It’s like they’re not even born yet and I could’ve already failed them as a mother.” You pouted, wiping the tears that had collected on your face against his shirt.
Sicheng knew that that was a worry of yours. That your medical history would be passed down to the baby and that they would be stuck in the same struggling position as you had been all your life. But it had never once been a concern to him.
In his eyes, there was nothing wrong with you so there’d be nothing wrong with the baby. As long as the baby came out breathing and crying, none of the rest of it mattered to him.
Whether it be that the baby was on the spectrum, or that they had an extra pinky toe, as long as whatever the baby could have didn’t hurt them, he wouldn’t mind whatever little quirks they might come with. He would just see whatever it was as part of their little self.
So long as they came happy and healthy, he would be content. He didn’t even have a preference on the baby being a boy or a girl either. He already loved them more than he had ever thought possible. Nothing would ever change that in his eyes.
He just had to get you to see it that way, “Baby, I know you’re scared for them. But if you think about it, our child’s gonna be far too lucky to be considered something as common as normal.” He reassured you with a kiss to the top of your head as he rocked you both back and forth at a soothing pace.
“How so?” You sniffled, attempting to focus on his words instead of his motions.
“Like with language.” He immediately declared proudly, “Our baby’s gonna speak at least three languages natively, and probably be fluent in Korean too. Most ‘normal babies’ aren’t gonna be that smart naturally.” Sicheng easily replied with an emphasis on the words normal and babies.
Of course you both knew language didn’t equal intelligence. But even you had to admit being able to speak four languages pretty soon after birth with the possibility of being able to learn more if they wanted as they got older seemed pretty impressive.
As he knew the wheels in your head must’ve been turning, he decided to keep going to further prove his point, “And the baby will have a whole pack of uncles and aunts behind them ready to defend them to no end.” Sicheng mentioned almost nonchalantly, “Lame normal babies wouldn’t have that many people to care for them so fiercely. So there’s no way they could be considered normal.”
You had to give it to him, the pack thing was kind of damning. Yeah it was normal for kids to have family, but your little family was definitely more than just average.
Your family was crazy, hectic, unorganized, and big, and it wasn’t even finished yet since most of the boys hadn’t found their mates. Yet you wouldn’t have it any other way.
They were the best thing that ever happened to you. Hell, they went out of their way to save your life despite the massive risks and the fact that they didn’t even know you very well at the time. So you knew that, with your pack, your baby would be spoiled and protected to no end.
“Let’s also not forget that they could be a big bad wolf themselves thanks to my genes. So if they got it from me they’ll never be considered normal.” He admitted playfully, still doing his best to ease your worries, “But I’d still say they would be stuck with something pretty awesome by their own standards since every kid literally dreams of having super powers or being magical at some point. Our baby could very well actually have that.” He argued, closely listening to your heartbeat for any signs of distress at his words.
As much as being around a bunch of wolves was or could be extremely dangerous at times, it was also unexplainably super fun. There was never a dull moment with the pack you had come to know and love.
And Sicheng was right, every little kid wanted that at one point. Kid’s wanted action and adventure and super powers, and thanks to their dad’s genetics, your child could actually get that in real life. Sort of anyways.
He chuckled a little bit under his breath, “And if they are a werewolf or even just has one or two of the mutations of one, they’ll literally never be able to stay hurt for long. They’ll be stronger and healthier than any of the ‘normal kids’ they would hang around with at school. They’ll be stronger and safer than any of the other kids around them without them even knowing.”
Once again, you couldn’t fault him. He was right. No one in the pack ever stayed hurt for too long. The baby could literally regenerate their self whenever they got injured with relative ease.
Ordinary kids would have to go to the hospital for the sniffles much of the time. Your baby might be able to actually throw their friends across a room from being so strong and healthy.
They would definitely give you less to stress about sometimes. And probably more to worry about as they got older, but that was for future you to deal with when the time came.
“And if the baby was like you,” He began, the both of you knowing full well what he meant, “Then they wouldn’t ever be put in the positions you had been growing up since they would have the both of us. We’d love them and each other till the day we stopped breathing.” You could hear the honesty all but pouring out of his plump mouth as he spoke of the love your little family would have for one another.
You’d never leave your baby like your parents left you. No matter what was going on with them, you’d love them till the day you died and you’d do everything in your power to make them feel more loved than you had ever felt growing up. And you knew your mate would do the exact same.
“And they would have their own mom to be able to teach them everything she knows on how to handle the difficulties they may face in being who they are. They would have their own life teacher who would help navigate their way through all their struggles and worries.” Sicheng finished with a soft smile plastered on his gorgeous face, “So yeah, our baby most likely will not be normal. But I’d say they’ve definitely got more going for them than any ordinary kid out there.”
Maybe your mate was right. Maybe your baby would still be okay if they ended up like you. You thought you had a pretty good handle on how to understand yourself for the way you were. You’d be more than willing to teach them everything you knew so that they could have as easy a life as possible, something you never had the luxury of having.
Maybe the baby could still be considered lucky if they didn’t end up being the typically normal baby most parents hoped their children would come out as. Normal’s overrated anyways.
“Thank you. I feel a little better now,” You whispered into your mate’s chest near inaudibly, “I love you.”
“I’m glad. Because I love you too my love. So much,” Sicheng responded, kissing the top of your head once more for good measure.
You pulled yourself from his still rocking body in a hurry to face him, “Okay I don’t mean to ruin the moment or anything, but this swaying, though good for me mentally, has definitely NOT helped with my morning sickness.”
His eyes widen in both horror and hilarity, “Okay yeah let’s get you to the bathroom before you throw up on me. Again,” he chuckled, helping you up from your shared bed to stand and lifting you out of the room bridal style.
“In my defense,” you joked with a small giggle, “You should know better than to stop a pregnant woman from getting up in the middle of the night.”
You and your boyfriend, sicheng, were sitting on the sofa after a long day of work. you were reading while he was on his phone after having dinner and an usual rant about your days.
without noticing the time you read chapter after chapter, when you heard winwin yawn.
“you can go to sleep, love, i’ll join in a few” you said softly running a hand through his hair. “no it’s okay, I'll wait for you, i’m not tired” he said but couldn’t help yawning. you laughed but let it go and continued reading.
you got lost in your own world again before feeling a weight on your shoulder. your boyfriend just fell asleep on your shoulder.
he looked so cute you couldn’t help but gush over it but he moved a bit and it made you stop. not wanting to wake him up right away, you decided to finish your chapter before waking him up gently and going to bed.
