『 The tidings of winter were brutal. The weak became weaker and the deprived grew despondent. Spring was mere months away yet the cold likened it to an out of reach mirage.
And it was during these months that snow did what snow did best: It fell.
('Maybe there is a certain kind of beauty to it after all, Zhisong.') 』
(I would post it all on here but I don’t want to crash people’s devices)
Zhisong: That was the title given to the child born in the very beginnings of winter on the 28th of October to the acting rulers of the kingdom.
This child was not unloved - far from it. He was adored by both royals and civilians alike, the news of his birth reaching far and wide with presents sent from neighbours and the people to celebrate. It had been so long, after all, since the empire was able to celebrate having a new heir that would no doubt be as kind and as forgiving as their forefathers.
However, while he was known to others as Zhisong - the child born with hair as soft as a mink’s fur and a countenance as beautiful as a blossoming lotus - his true name was something that was held in fondness for only people close to his heart to address him by.
“Dong Sicheng,” his father had uttered, looking to his wife for confirmation.
Her body was tired yet her arms were occupied by their child, the product of their love that had come after endless moons of hoping and praying. She looked from her husband to the sleeping baby, his hair sticking up on end with his nose scrunched up as he slept. “Sicheng,” she repeated softly, tasting the syllables on her tongue before she nodded. “It’s a perfect name.”
And it was Sicheng that brought light to their lives, just the sight of him evoking feelings that urged them to nurture and care. No one knew it was possible to see any parent smile day in and day out, yet whenever the public saw them, it was only happiness that greeted them. The image of a giggling baby with rosy cheeks and a smile that charmed even the most barren of hearts was synonymous with the governing class.
The lands were virile the year he was born, bringing forth crops with such vigour such that starvation was merely an afterthought for people that had known only its name. Hundreds of barren fields had been filled with endless yields of wheat and corn, the harvest so great that they were able to trade it with neighbouring countries with some to spare.
For years there was nothing but hope, the kindlings of joy transforming into a roaring flame that kept the empire warm during the winters and comforted during the summers.
“Darling?” The queen looked towards her husband as he played with Sicheng, rolling around on the floor with him while peals of laughter filled the room.
“Yes?” Sicheng was sat up, chubby fingers grabbing for purchase on his father’s robes. “Are you feeling unwell?”
“No, no. I… I just wanted to say that I am happy. This is more than I could have ever imagined.”
The King’s smile was broad and it was beautiful. Their child was held in one arm before he approached his wife, strands of straight black hair moved out of her eyes before he placed a tender kiss to the top of her forehead. “I pray that we will be happy for the rest of our lives.”
For five more years that prayer was granted.
But miracles weren’t made to last.
It was on a spring morning, with the air cool from the morning dew and the sun half mast in the sky, that Sicheng was exposed to the concept of death for the first time. The king had slept with his wife at his side and had not woken up - would never wake up.
summary -> you've imagined all the worst scenarios of telling sicheng that you don't deserve him, but the reality is slightly different.
warnings -> angst ? self deprecating thoughts
word count -> 817 words
a/n -> yes, i've ripped sicheng's dialogue off from turtles all the way down and so what. also yes sicheng plus comfort fics is my ultimate luv so deal w it <3
"i feel like i don't deserve you, sicheng,"
you could imagine how that conversation could go and these days it was your favourite thing to do, go over it until you had convinced yourself that it was real. you'd say, "sicheng, i love you but i really can't do this anymore," and they'd be the words he wanted to hear for a long time.
he'd say, "okay, whatever you want,"
wouldn't he?
you didn't imagine he'd run after you and grab your arm, "please don't leave, let's talk this out?"
it was hard to predict sicheng, from the crush phase itself. you'd stare at him across the cafe and he'd stare out of it, and you were convinced he got better things to do. but he had been there again, asking you if he could sit next to you.
why not?
but he'd been there, softly grazing your hand in winters when you'd be cuddling on the couch, or even in the summers when you'd ask him to get some ice cream and you didn't have to ask the second time.
he loved you, it was very visible.
why was it so hard to believe he could love you? but why did someone like sicheng even love you?
it felt like some privilege you didn't deserve, even though you'd earned it.
"i don't deserve you, sicheng," it was the second scenario, and while the first took place outside, in public, in a restaurant, preferably a date, this one took place at home while you were hunched down on your knees and it was another one of your breakdowns.
"good, i don't deserve you, either,"
but you couldn't actually imagine sicheng's face saying that when he was usually holding your hand through it, gently using his thumbs to wipe tears off your cheek and letting you nuzzle into him when you wanted to.
there were a couple of his friends that you'd think he'd be better with, people who would stick around and actually be something good.
and he'd leave, he'd leave for the time being because you'd have to pack your bags from his apartment.
for now, he was sleeping peacefully beside you, the sun softly peeking out from the curtains beside him and cozily lighting up his face.
there was no doubt you love him, even though it scares you and a year ago you would have laughed at the possibility, but it was what had ended up happening.
you were so sure he'd follow like not even 5 minutes later if you woke up right now, "good morning, did you sleep well?"
you scoot closer into his body, its just as warm as you want it to be. he's really pretty, not that you have left any opportunity to tell him that.
"i don't deserve you, sicheng," this one particularly is a hurting scenario, you're going to have dinner with his parents and you have been quiet all evening, annd sicheng is on the edge of cancelling the dinner when you whisper it out in the car.
and he's hurt, but it's for the best, because you really don't deserve all these good things, do you?
and he'll stop the car at some bus stop for you to go back home from.
but when you say it, in reality, you're standing in the kitchen, cutting some vegetables and he's offering to do them for you so you can get on with the other tasks and you wipe your hands on your apron when your cheeks start getting wet with the stream of tears.
"i don't deserve you, sicheng,"
his eyes soften, although he's taken aback by the suddenness of the breakdown, he's cupping your face, forcing you to look up at him through your blurry eyes.
he swipes his thumbs on either side of your cheeks slowly as you sniff.
"y/n,"
"i really don't deserve you, sicheng, i'm-"
"shush,"
he slowly pulls you into a hug and you lean in, grateful for the comfort he provides, now ytour face is buried in his chest and as he speaks you can feel the sound of his heartbeat along with his voice.
"baby, i love you,"
his fingers run through your hair slowly.
"and baby, you deserve it. every ounce of it."
you pull away and wipe your tears but you know something is going on in that head of his and he looks at you as he gives you small smile hoping you would, too.
"you know what, baby?"
"hmm?"
"look at me, baby" and he cups your face again because your tears haven't stopped yet.
"nothing in this world is deserved except for love, that love is both how you become a person and why. so my love, i love you, and you deserve it. you deserve it so much,"
you take his hands from your face and kiss his hands.

Dong Sicheng
▶︎ 21
You first met Sicheng at your 21st birthday. Your friends insisted on throwing you a big ass party at one of their houses because their parents were gone so that resulted in you not knowing more than half the guests supposedly there to celebrate you. But honestly it didn’t quite matter because you were drinking and having fun with your closest friends and that’s the most important thing.
Until you saw him. Leaning against a wall and sipping on a red cup. Alone but looking cool as he glances around the room without a care for a single person in there. Something about him intrigues you and you just feel this incredible will to get to know him, all of him. You wonder who invited this mysterious guy.
“Hey, you ok?” Your friend Yuta approaches you, worried you might not be having fun at your own party with how silent you went.
“Yeah.” You give him a smile. “Do you know who that is?”
“Who?” He follows your gaze. “Oh, that’s Sicheng. I invited him, I hope that’s ok. His girlfriend just broke up with him a few days ago and I thought he needed to have some fun.”
“That’s alright. But he doesn’t look like he’s having a lot of fun though.” You tilt your head still admiring his blank expression.
“I know.” Yuta sighs. “I’m gonna check up on him.”
“Hey,” you grab his arm before he goes, “why don’t you call him over? He can hang with us.”
“I’ll do that.” Smiling he makes his way to the boy.
Taking a sip from your own drink you watch the two guys talking and eventually coming over to where you and the rest of your close friends are standing.
“Guys,” Yuta calls everyone’s attention, “this is my friend, Dong Sicheng.”
Everybody greets him as he hears all their names. He simply nods at them with a small smile, you wouldn’t take him for the shy type but that doesn’t kill the vibe for you.
“And this is Y/N, the birthday girl.” Yuta finally points to you and you make eye contact with Sicheng for the first time.
His piercing gaze leaves tingles all over your skin and you seem to be the one getting all shy now.
“Happy birthday.” With a bigger smile he raises his glass to you.
“Thanks.” You return the gesture delighted with the sound of his voice.
You try to engage in a conversation with him without making your attraction too obvious but he doesn’t seem that much of a talker. After a while he excuses himself to go outside and you can’t help but ask Yuta if he’s always this quiet.
“Oh yeah, that’s just the way he is.” You let out a relieved sigh and Yuta lifts a brow. “Do I sense a little bit of interest?”
“Maybe…” Unable to avoid a smile you hide it behind your cup taking another sip.
“Normally I would say go for it, he’s a really nice guy.” You bite your lip at his words, you feel like there’s a but coming. “But, he just go out of a pretty bad relationship and he’s definitely not healed yet.”
“What do you mean a bad relationship?” You can’t help feeling a bit worried.
“She’s super toxic. Got jealous over the stupidest things when I’m pretty sure she has cheated on him before, kept picking up fights with him for no reason and he just took it like a dumbass.” He explains shaking his head. “They kept going on and off their relationship but I think this time they’re done for real. Honestly I’m glad it’s over, she’s not good for him, he deserves someone better. I just hope he doesn’t fall back into bad habits.”
“I’m gonna go find him.” You empty your cup handing it to Taeil.
“Just go easy on him ok?” Nodding at his request you make your way through the crowd towards the back of the house.
As you step outside and look around you find Sicheng in a corner, leaning against the fence, smoke coming out of his lips from the cigarette between his fingers while his other hand holds his phone typing and re-typing a message.
“Can I have one of those?” His face turns to you as you point to the lit stick.
“Sure.” Putting his phone inside the back pocket of his jeans he grabs a pack of cigarettes extending it your way.
Taking one you bring it to your lips and Sicheng flicks a lighter in front of you. The first drag has you coughing a bit earning a chuckle from him, the first real expression you saw him make after the forced smiles from before.
“You don’t smoke do you?” He asks bringing his own cigarette to his lips.
“Occasionally, but it’s been a while.” You let out an embarrassed laugh.
“Nice party.” He says breaking the silence that installed.
“Thanks?” You giggle at the way he raises his brows clearly confused. “I didn’t actually wanted to have a party like this, I’d rather have a small chill get together with just a few people, but my friends kinda forced this on me.”
“Totally understand, I’m more of a casual guy too as opposed to a party monster like, for example, those guys.” Sicheng points to a few typical frat guys chugging down two shots each before removing their shirts and jumping into the pool.
“Why did you come then? I mean, if you don’t like this type of environments.” You’re quick to explain before he gets the wrong idea and thinks you’re inviting him to leave.
“Yuta kinda made me.” Leaving the explanation at that you get the hint that he doesn’t want to go into detail with it and you totally respect it, after all why would he tell you about his ex-girlfriend when you just met?
“He does have his way around people.” You chuckle lightening the mood. “Have you been friends for a long time?”
“We met in high school and been friends ever since.” He smiles probably recalling early memories from their friendship. “What about you, how do you know him?”
“He was actually in some of my classes in college and we ended up studying and doing some projects together so we started to become friends too.”
Carefully you carry the conversation, brightening his mood as you get to know him better. Like Yuta said, he’s not much of a talker with his short answers but at least you’re happy he hasn’t left yet.
You don’t even notice the hours passing as you two move to sit on a bench nearby. Most people have left already but the conversation with Sicheng is going so well that you don’t dare end it. But then someone does.
“Here you are!” Yuta walks your way and turns to his high school friend. “I thought you left already.”
“Looks like I’m still here.” You snort a bit too loud at his answer.
“And you,” Yuta moves his attention your way, “you never came back, everybody wanted to say goodbye but they just ended up leaving.”
“So early?” You ask before checking your phone widening your eyes at the time. “Shit, I guess we lost track of time, sorry.”
“That’s alright, I see you two are getting along.” The older winks as the youngest scratches the back of his head. “And I’m gonna get going, are you staying?”
“I think-” A yawn stops you from finishing your sentence making the three of you laugh. “I think I should go too, then.”
“C’mon I’l walk you home.” Yuta suggests as he lives close to your place. “You coming too? You can crash in my place if you want.”
“Yeah, I’ll take that.” Sicheng agrees and you leave the near dead party.
On the way you learn that your new friend lives on the other side of town and also get to know a few embarrassing stories from both of them. Almost makes you regret living so close to where the party took place. Reaching your building you all bid your goodbyes and you can’t help the silly smile that takes over your face when you finally lay down in your bed.
Dong Sicheng. The man that’s about to change your life.
After that night you make strong efforts to get Yuta to do some gatherings where both you and Sicheng will be present, of course without making it obvious. Eventually you two exchange numbers and start texting on a daily basis and even meeting up just the two of you.
Little by little you can feel him start to open up to you, giving him all the time he needs as you know he’s still hurt from his past relationship. You made him promise that whenever he feels sad or lonely he needs to call you, no matter what time it is, and you’ll talk to him and meet up if possible. You want him to let you in but you know he needs to heal first.
“Always the same shit.” Sicheng scoffs looking away from the TV. “When things get tough the girl just leaves and goes screw someone else, fucking liars and cheaters.”
“Hey!” You hit his shoulder from the other end of the couch trying to keep up with the movie you two were watching in your living room. “Not all girls are like that you know?”
“Yeah right.” He shakes his head.
“Well, I know I’m not.” Feeling his gaze turn to you, you keep yours focused on the TV.
“What?” He tries to understand why you said this all of a sudden.
“I’m just saying you should stop wasting your time with girls like that.” You finally turn to him. “If you give me a chance I’ll prove it to you. I’ll show you the love you deserve.”
You don’t know what came over you to say things like this but maybe the empty beer cans on your coffee table have something to do with it, making you ignore the fear of Sicheng rejecting you right here right now.
But instead he leans in and places his lips on yours. It’s a soft innocent first kiss that makes your heart almost pump out of your chest. You want to wrap your arms around his neck and pull him closer but he’s not too fond of skin ship so you’ll let him take the lead. A few seconds later he leans back returning to his previous position.
“Show me then.”
▶︎ I Love it (feat Dok2)
After that day you and Sicheng started living a couple life without really defining yourselves as one, just keeping it casual. You’d love nothing more than to officially call him your boyfriend but you don’t want to put that pressure on him, you just let things flow at his own speed.
Dinners and plans without calling them dates, kisses without promises and small touches here and there, leaving a tingling feeling on each others skin. But you’re happy just to be by his side and slowly watch him become a brighter person.
Friday night and you two are laying over his bed, on his tiny room, humming one of his favourite songs that plays on a playlist he made for the evening. With phones turned off you are disconnected from the world, simply enjoying each others company. On the first day he told you he’s not much of a party goer and you too enjoy these simple quiet moments alone. Even better when you’re alone by his side.
You take a deep breath when his fingers gently brush against yours that rest on the covers next to your body. His touch moves closer and closer until his hand holds yours.
Turning your head to the side you try to figure out his expression as he looks into your eyes and his other hand lifts to caress your cheek. Sicheng smoothly scoots over taking your lips on his in a kiss without a rush. He takes his time exploring your mouth and you allow him to.
Minutes feel like hours before he finally breaks the kiss leaning back to look at your face. Without saying a word he makes you feel like you’re the most beautiful person in the world with the way he admires your features, even if your lipstick is smeared past your lips and even transferred to his own, but he smiles.
Getting up to a seated position he slowly unbuttons his shirt and you take in each inch of skin that he bares for you. Slightly hovering you, his lips now attach to your neck as one of his hands caresses your side, from your waist, through your hip, to your thigh.
Your fingers trace the veins on his arm, with eyes closed, as his own make their way to cup your clothed womanhood. A breathy moan leaves your lips when his digits move up and down over the fabric making you crave for a real touch.
Clothes start pilling up on the floor, yours and the rest of his, as you discover each others bodies with touches, kisses and teasing bites. You gasp when his hand gets back to where it was before without any barriers now. You should feel embarrassed with how wet you are already but he makes all your worries go away as he gently spreads your juices focusing round movements on your clit.
Opening your legs wider you give him a great view of your arousal while he takes the place between them. Sicheng starts kissing your thighs taking his time to get to your core where his tongue licks up and down between your folds before he resumes the movements his fingers were doing before.
Back arching off the bed, you let your moans mix with the music that still plays on the background, letting him know how good he’s making you feel. His arms go around your thighs holding you in place as you start squirming around, orgasm fast approaching.
Eager on making you cum, his tongue traces intricate forms on your clit and in no time you’re groaning his name as you let yourself be taken over by the pleasure.
Sicheng doesn’t stop eating you out until your hand tugs on his hair, gently pulling him away from your pussy. A smile grows on his face as he watches you bite your lip to hide an embarrassed grin, eyes covered with your forearm.
Kissing his way up your figure, he removes your arm away from your face looking into your eyes as if silently telling you there’s no need to get shy or nervous, it’s just the two of you, there’s nobody else to impress.
Pulling him in for a kiss you take advantage of his position above you and wrap your legs around his torso bringing him closer to you. Sicheng grunts into your mouth when his hard dick is suddenly pressed against your wetness, fitting right between your folds.
Without breaking apart he reaches for his nightstand to grab a condom from the second drawer, opening the package and moving away just enough to roll it down his length. After he aligns it with your entrance you look into each others half lidded eyes, finally coming together as one when he fills every inch of your hole with his member until his hip touches yours.
He starts with soft thrusts, taking his time just like before. His arms rest at each side of your head holding himself up while his hips roll against you. Your hands trace the muscles on his back applying just enough pressure to encourage him to increase the speed.
And he definitely gets the hint as he moves faster and harder against you. But the closeness is not enough. Wrapping an arm around your waist, Sicheng pulls you up to sit on his lap as he leans back to a sitting position too. Pressing your bodies together he guides you up and down his cock, your breasts brushing on his chest making your nipples harder.
You let your hands run through his locks, tugging on them to pull his head slightly back making him groan in pleasure when your lips smash against his. Sensing your second orgasm approaching, you’re delighted to feel his dick twitch inside you as he gets closer to his high too.
It doesn’t take long for him to fill up the condom and with the warmth of his seed you can’t help cum too. You remain straddling him until your tired and sweaty bodies fall back on the bed, side by side. Resting your head on his chest you can hear his heartbeat that seems to be in sync with your own.
Looking up at his face you admire the pleased expression and lazy smile that decorate it as he stares back at you. It’s funny to think that even if this was the first sexual experience you shared together you just know each other so well physically. And that thought quickly turns into another round of making love.
▶︎ D (Half Moon) (feat Gaeko)
Laying in your bed and staring at the celling you sigh. Things with Sicheng were going great and then you had a stupid bickering and now you’re here alone, your head can’t seem to form a thought and you just feel empty, like half of you is missing.
You get up and go to the kitchen. Inside the fridge you try to find something that will satisfy you but nothing catches your eye. Maybe you’re not hungry then. You decide to grab a beer and move to the living room. Turning on the TV you flip the channels but never stop on any, you can’t seem to focus.
Glancing at your phone you wonder if you should call him, you even pick it up and scroll through you contacts stopping on his.
Dong Sicheng ❤︎
The call button just looks so tempting, but instead you lock your phone and throw it on the couch taking a sip of your beer. It shouldn’t be you crawling back to him, from the way you see it he’s the one who needs to apologise. So why do you feel like this?
Looking out the window you see a half moon in the starry sky and that’s exactly how you feel, a half something missing its other half. Your mind goes back to the beautiful moments you’ve spend together and you realise that maybe you like him a little bit more than you thought. Maybe you even love him at this point.
Every tick on your wall clock is another wasted second and it gets closer and closer to a point of no return so you get up, pick up your jacket and walk out.
Silence fills up the hallway as you stare at each others eyes when he opens his apartment door to face you that rang his bell.
“I’m s-” Your sentence gets cut off when Sicheng grabs the sides of your face and presses his lips against yours.
You feel your shoulders relax and tug on his shirt to pull him closer. You didn’t even realise you missed him this much.
“Can we just forget it?” He asks resting his forehead on yours.
“Please…” You whimper kissing him again as you two move inside his apartment.
▶︎ What 2 do (feat Crush, Jeff Bernat)
You thought things would get better and they did, but that didn’t last long. The meaningless little fights kept happening and the worst part is you couldn’t understand where most of them came from. Sicheng would just completely shut you off, stop replying to your messages and ignore your calls for days until he decides he wants to be with you again.
After a while you got used to it, pretending to believe his little lies and excuses when he told you he was busy and then you’d see him out. You wanted to believe there was a reasoning behind all of it but deep down you always knew your relationship was doomed.
The last straw was when you saw him with her. The one you thought was buried in his past. The one you thought he healed from. The one you thought you were able to replace.
“Did you have fun?” You ask him the minute he steps into your apartment, quickly avoiding the kiss he tries to give you.
“Hm, you know, the usual.” He shrugs closing the door.
“So it’s usual for you to meet her?” You scoff turning your back to him.
“What are you talking about?” You can’t believe he’s straight up lying to your face.
“There’s no need to cover it up, I saw you.” Taking a deep breath you try to stop the tears from rolling down your cheeks.
“What?” He laughs in disbelief. “Are you spying on me now?”
Conversation turns into screaming and you don’t know what else to say to make him understand how he’s been making you feel without him playing the victim once again. You hang on the hope that he’ll turn the conversation around and show you how much you mean to him but then he yells something you never thought you’d hear.
“You said you were different but you’re just like all the other bitches!”
At that very moment you knew it was too late to fix anything between you two, you’re both hurt and certain scars just don’t go away like that. Your hope is gone.
“Let’s just stop.” You say in a calm voice as you sit down on your couch. “I’m tired, Sicheng. I think it’s best if we just break up. And I know you feel the same. So let’s just get this over with.”
He doesn’t say anything and just stands there staring at you as your gaze is glued to the floor, not even having enough energy to look him in the face. When you sigh he takes it as his queue to leave. And when he closes your front door you feel that he closed it on your heart too.
You know you tried your hardest to put him back together but it wasn’t enough, it would never be enough. Something inside you always told you that but you chose to ignore it. I can change him, such a cliché thought for a silly girl like you. And now here you are, exhausted and heartbroken.

We're sorry, your call cannot be completed to dial; please check the number and dial again.
After everything you decided to stay friends. You didn’t work in a romantic relationship but you still had a good connection and neither of you wanted to lose that. And to be honest, the sex was great so you decided to keep that going to. Friends with benefits? Maybe, if that’s all you could have.
Dong Sicheng: sorry, my phone was dead, I just charged it
You: that’s alright
You: you doing anything?
Dong Sicheng: not really, why?
You: I was wondering if you wanted to come over and watch a movie or something?
You: I know it’s late, maybe you wanted to go to sleep, we can meet some other time
Dong Sicheng: on my way
It was a wrong choice to keep this going with him, he could never love you back the way you love him but you still want to be there for him. And in lonely nights like this you want him to be here for you. But you know one day you’ll regret it.
“I wasn’t sure if you had any so I brought some beers.” As you open the door Sicheng lifts a six pack your way, black hoodie over his head covering most of his face like he doesn’t want to be recognised.
Settling on the couch you put on “Bonnie and Clyde”, a classic movie you two were always in the mood to watch. Finding a comfortable position you open a can of beer a take a sip, watching from the corner of your eye as he does the same.
Suddenly you feel his arm move around your shoulders and pull you closer to him. Biting your lip to hold in a smile you snuggle to his side.
By the time the six pack is done, you’re already laying on your back as Sicheng hovers you, his lips on yours as your legs wrap around his waist pulling him closer to your body.
Leaning your head to the side you allow him access to your neck as your fingers run through his hair. His hand snakes its way inside your shirt, cupping your bare breast underneath, as his hips roll against yours.
You can feel his boner press against your core, arousing you even more, so you push him back to sit on the couch and straddle his lap. Grinding on him at your own pace you bring your lips back together while his hands move to cup your ass, dragging your skirt to uncover it.
Sliding a hand between your bodies, Sicheng unbuttons his pants and pushes them down just enough to free his hard dick. He strokes it a few times and rolls a condom that he had on his pocket before pushing your panties to the side and aligning himself with your entrance.
Good thing you’re always wet for him because he pushes himself inside you with no warning making you lean your head back with a groan as shooting and explosion sounds come from the TV. He attacks your neck once again while his hands return to your ass, grabbing your cheeks to help you bounce up and down on his cock.
Holding his shoulders for support you moan while you ride him as he constantly hits the sweet spot inside you. You can feel your orgasm approaching and start to move faster but he decides to hold you a little above his crotch, thrusting up and into you instead.
His pace is fast and sloppy and before you know it Sicheng is shooting his seed inside the rubber. Letting his body relax against the couch he makes no effort to finish you off, simply panting as he gets down from his high. So you decide to take matters into your own hands and roll your hips against his. But he grabs you to halt your movements and pushes you off of him.
“We shouldn’t do this anymore.” He says with a straight face taking off the condom and getting up to fix his clothes.
“Why?” You almost whisper watching him as you still sit on the couch right next to where he fucked you just seconds ago.
“I don’t want to hurt you anymore.” He sighs. “I know you still have feelings for me and I’m just gonna keep hurting you if we continue with this.”
“Sicheng, I’m fine.” You get up and walk to him. “We agreed to this remember?”
“I should go.” Not sparing another glance your way he walks out the door.
You know he can see through your lies and that each time you’re together breaks another piece of your heart.
For a week you and Sicheng didn’t speak, text, call, anything. He was clearly letting you know whatever you still had was definitely over but in your mind you still didn’t believe it, like it was a scene from a movie and when it gets to the end everything will be alright.
But it didn’t. You decide to go to his apartment with the lame excuse to give him back the hoodie you borrowed and never returned. In reality you just wanted to check up on him but he doesn’t need to know that. Upon your arrival you see two figures through his bedroom window getting on the bed.
It’s him.
And her.
He told you he didn’t want to hurt you anymore but truth was he just wanted to get back to her.
Turning around you go back home as tears freely roll down your cheeks. You just wanted him to know how much you love him, how much you need him. But now you know it’s really over.
▶︎ Pour up (feat Zico)
Drink, smoke, drink, smoke, drink, smoke…
That has been your life. You never thought you’d be this person but here you are, sitting on your balcony, bottle of scotch in one hand and a full tray of cigarette butts on the floor. You laugh at nothing and yell at the cars that pass on the street, anything that would ease the pain in your heart but nothing seems to do the deed.
Slowly you get up, your hand instantly clashing against the wall for support as your body already feels wobbly. Dragging yourself inside you grab a jacket and put on some shoes, that definitely do not match with your outfit, and head outside.
Clumsy feet make their way into the nearest nightclub that became like a second home for you in the past days. Heading straight to the bar you don’t even need to make your order, the bartender already comes with 3 shots and a cup with almost pure alcohol your way.
Quicker then they come, the drinks disappear inside your mouth in a blink of an eye and you lean your back against the counter observing the crowd. Well, at least you tried because you can’t really focus on any single figure on the dance floor.
But then you see someone who looks exactly like Sicheng or maybe you’re just too drunk. Either way you push yourself from the bar and squeeze your way between the dancing sweaty bodies to get closer to him.
As sensually as you possibly can at this moment and state, you start dancing to the beat of the song that currently plays, moving towards this stranger. Rolling your hips you turn around so your back is against him and rub your ass on his crotch.
He seems to be into it by the way his hands grasps on your hips pulling you even closer as he rubs himself on you too. You can feel his warm breath on your neck after he pushes your hair out of the way and he starts leaving kisses and little bites towards your shoulder.
Turning back around you let your arms wrap around his neck and pull him towards you for a heated kiss. You’re hungry for love so you spare no mercy on his lips, but you just feel numb like you’re not doing anything at wall. Why are you like this?
Y/N.
Confused you separate your mouths and open your eyes, you could swear you heard Sicheng’s voice calling your name. Are you going insane now?
Y/N.
No, you definitely heard something. You turn around when you feel a hand on your shoulder.
“Y/N, are you ok?” The person asks pulling you away from your dancing partner.
“Yuta?” You finally recognise him.
“I haven’t heard of you for days. I know about Sicheng, I’m sorry… How are you?” He examines your face giving the other guy a dirty glance.
“Can’t you tell?” Your drunken laugh just makes him more worried. “I’m doing just fine. And you know why? Because this guy is getting some tonight. Fuck Sicheng.”
A smirk grows on the stranger’s face as you take his hand and push past Yuta walking towards the exit.
“Y/N, wait!” Your friend calls you but you don’t care and just keep walking.
Messy kisses are shared as you struggle to open your apartment’s door. Finally inside, you waste no time getting both your clothes off as you pull him to your bedroom. After pushing him into the mattress you climb on top of him.
“Someone’s eager to get this d-” He starts to say as you stroke his hardening cock to roll a condom on it.
“Shut up.” You demand straddling his lap and aligning him with your entrance.
Slowly you move down, your pussy swallowing his shaft inch by inch as a moan is dragged off both your mouths. You don’t even feel the stinging pain of your walls being stretched by the stranger’s impressively thick cock as you quickly settle on a good pace to ride him.
The guys hands trace your torso making their way to cup your breasts and suddenly you’re reminded of his touch. The way Sicheng used to touch your body takes over your brain. But you can’t be having these thoughts, not right now, not ever again.
Shaking your head you grab his hands and pin them over his head. But getting closer to his face you see Sicheng, his beautiful features that you miss so much. That brings a smile to your face until you remember when you saw him through the window with her as he unknowingly broke your heart. With a groan you get off the stranger’s lap.
“What are you doing!?” He sounds annoyed.
“Fuck me.” You look over your shoulder as you position yourself on all fours.
Licking his lips, the stranger follows your request by kneeling behind you and quickly getting back inside your hole. He thrusts his hips against yours so hard that he reaches such deep places inside. He’s fucking you so damn good, so why is your mind clouded with Sicheng thoughts?
Shutting your eyes close you try to focus on the knot forming inside you specially when the stranger warns you he’s gonna cum soon, there’s no way you’re letting this bastard get off and leave you hanging. So you take your hand and rub your clit just the right way to get you cumming in seconds.
The way your walls clench around his length instantly makes the stranger fill in the condom with an incredibly sexy moan. He pants a little before pulling himself out of you and removing the rubber. Your body simply falls on the bed, still drunk and now tired.
You don’t even remember him leaving as you open your eyes in the morning, naked and in the same position on the bed, but a blanket covering your body. Getting up you can feel your head pounding so before you take a bath you go to the kitchen to grab a pill. But something in your fridge catches your eye.
That was fun, call me again sometime, Jaehyun (the one from last night)
Reading the note that’s followed by his number you chuckle. If only you weren’t so lost in Sicheng you might have given this Jaehyun guy a chance.
▶︎ And you? (Outro)
"It's the police, open the door. Police, open the door! I mean, open the door. I need to talk with you for a moment, can you please open the door? We need to talk to you for a moment... We know you're in there”
"What are you taking?... Is it meds or something?”
"No..."
You angrily stuff another handful of popcorn in your mouth as you try to focus on the movie playing in your TV while your phone keeps buzzing next to you. It’s been like this all night and you just want it to stop. Puffing you finally grab it just to be even more annoyed with the caller.
Dong Sicheng ❌
For the past few weeks you’ve been getting over him. With the help of Taeil you ditched the booze and the cigarettes to focus on you. Since you met Sicheng you started neglecting yourself to focus on him and that only came to cause you pain.
“Y/N…” You finally pick up the phone.
Hearing his tired voice you want to ask him how he’s doing, if he’s happy with her, if it was worth it to get back with her. But you don’t.
“What?” You deadpan ask him.
With time you understood Sicheng is nothing but trouble. And you deserve so much better than that.

We broke up a month ago
Your friends are mine, you know I know
The days seemed to pass by slowly, yet a month had come and gone in Yuta’s life just like Sicheng did. Sicheng had left but all Yuta could think about was him with a girl, that is, thanks to the fact that they shared friends. Yuta was good at hiding how he felt when Mark and Jaehyun would talk about Sicheng’s new relationship, but even those with a mask eventually have to take it off.
But she’s so sweet, she’s so pretty
Does she mean you forgot about me?
In the back of Yuta’s head he knew it was a bad idea to show up at Jaehyun’s birthday party, but what was he supposed to say when Jae invited him? His plan was to lay low, tell Jaehyun happy birthday, and maybe stay for a couple of drinks with the others. As he walked towards the kitchen, knowing he’d at least find Mark there, he bumped into a girl. “Oh, sorry,” Yuta said, trying to walk past her. She turned around, her eyes sparkled and lips glistened in the dark lighting and Yuta couldn’t help but notice the way she looked at him. Her smile was soft as she replied, “It’s okay, not your fault that Jaehyun’s hallway is tonight’s hotspot,” she laughed quietly. Yuta’s mind was spinning while standing in front of the girl, the most perfect and beautiful person he’d ever seen, but he wasn’t dizzy because of her. Sicheng appeared next to her figure, “hey, I’ve been looking for you,” his deep voice echoed in Yuta’s head as Sicheng looked up directly into Yuta’s eyes. Sicheng quickly looked back at the girl and pulled her away down the hallway.
I hope you're happy
Just not like how you were with me
Although Yuta knew it was over, he couldn’t help but daydream about Sicheng and the way he looked into his eyes at Jaehyun’s party. Tears fell down Yuta’s soft cheeks as he sat on his bed, he could never compete with someone like that girl. She was everything Yuta wished he was; Sicheng’s other half. Even though it felt like he was under a constant grey cloud, with rain pouring into his heart, he just wanted Sicheng to be happy...and if she made him happy he could only hope he made him happier.

Christmas 2019 - Espresso
Outside as flakes of snow fell from the sky, like a light shower of glitter from the heavens, the elusive holiday spirit seemingly present in the air; you watched a young couple huddled together to share warmth, fingers intertwined, cheeks glowing red partnered with coy smiles on their faces, and a family of three in admiration of their son as he showed off his Christmas gift. The streetlights emitting an orange glow providing an aura of softness, making everything come together to form a picturesque scene.
Heartwarming as these scenes were, they failed to evoke any emotion out of you; if anything you feel excluded from it entirely. To you the world behind the cafe's glass windows is just a film you're screening in the cinemas, and you were nothing but a mere spectator. You continue to stare listlessly at the throngs of people passing by until they all mesh into a blur of colors your eyes couldn't catch fast enough. That's better.
Inside the cafe although decorated with trinkets for the holidays there was an air of sadness permeating every corner and seated itself onto the furnishings. Lately it seems like sadness is following you around everywhere - like a shadow - and instead of trailing behind you it looms over you shrouding your every thought until it completely consumes you.
No one stepped foot inside the cafe and with no one to entertain your mind drifts to him. Sicheng.
How many days has it been? Since you last saw him. You've lost count, a lie you tell yourself to make the dull ache in your chest bearable.
It's a torture how you could recall that day - the day you lost him - so vividly as if you are forced to relive it every time the silence eats away at your resolve; to tuck the moment into the deep recesses of your mind, where it can't hurt you. When every little thing reminds you of him, his favorite spot at the cafe, black turtlenecks and that undeleted grainy picture of his sitting in your gallery.
You could never forget the look on his face, resignation etched into every crevice of his features, a forlorn smile on his lips.
"I see," he said in a bittersweet tone before he turned his back at you.
The slam of the door is the nail that hits the coffin. Sicheng is gone. He has already walked out of your life. That was the last you saw of him for he never visited the cafe again.
A month passed by when Sicheng called you. Your heart leaped as his name flashed on your screen and your thumb shakily pressed the answer button; afterwards lifting it near your ear.
There was no greeting as he uttered in his low voice that you have missed so much, "My flight to Russia is this Saturday."
Your heart sank.
"I want you to see me off, ______."
Don't go please stay with me but there are certain thoughts that weren't meant to be put into words so instead, "I'll be there." You reassured him.
But you never showed up at the airport that Saturday. Instead, you were at the cafe staring at the screen of your phone blinking on and off as a wave of notifications with his name flooded your phone. Why make things harder? As if him leaving wasn't hard enough. You pressed the power button long enough to shut down your phone.
The following days passed away into months that's a haze in your mind. You can't recall anything worth remembering. You quickly filled up your schedule with mundane tasks just to have something to do filling every gap of your vacant time.
At night you fell straight to bed, your body collapsing from the physical strain you have subjected it with. Establishing a packed routine without idle time so you don't have time to linger on the dull ache in your chest - always there like a festering wound. This works until you find your list of chores unexpectedly accomplished earlier than you planned, the cafe shrouded in still quietness.
Alone with nothing else to do the dull ache amplified to a crippling one and it bites you right back in your face, forcing you to acknowledge the hollow feeling that seems to reside in your chest permanently. Your eyes would be heavier, your vision blurry, trying to blink away the tears but ultimately failing as it trails down your cheeks; you clutch at your chest because it hurts and you regret that the last you'll see of Sicheng is that face of hurt he wore.
Christmas 2016 - Vanilla Latte
You placed the cup of vanilla latte sitting on a saucer on the table daintily, pushing the saucer across the wooden table towards the customer, avoiding to make any noise. The customer seemed so engrossed with the novel he is reading - nose almost touching the pages - that you don't want to disturb him.
The said customer is a regular, there was not a month that he hasn't visited the cafe. Showing up five minutes after you flip the signage to open, with no fail not even a minute late.
Wearing all black from head to toe, a tall lithe figure, and an androgynous facial structure, your guess is that he works as a model. Even now without trying he is captivating; he makes the cafe look like a set for a magazine spread just by lounging in the matching cherry wood table and chair, and you can't help but stand there and shamelessly stare at him. god really has his favorites.
His work must require him to travel to different countries and have photoshoots in scenic spots, oh how you wish you could also jetset to other countries. Packed schedule for the day that he doesn't have time to think about what he is going to do next. That is a luxury you don't have especially in the ber months for there is a decline in customers and with no one to entertain, your mind goes on an overdrive pondering on uncharted waters of how you have nothing else going for you but run this cafe.
Aside from his penchant to wear all black, read a novel while drinking his choice of beverage - choice of beverage you ask? - you see the other peculiar thing about this man is that he doesn't have a 'regular drink'. Most if not all people who go to a cafe know what they are going to order before they have set foot inside. This man doesn't, his eyes would flit on the menu, scanning from left to right and back again. It is almost ritual like, this would go on for a good minute or two as you drum your fingers on the counter waiting for his order.
The snow is falling outside covering the otherwise grey pavement white, decorations for the festivities hung around the four corners of your quaint cafe. Yet here he is, nursing a cup of coffee instead of being somewhere else. Doesn't he have a family? to celebrate Christmas with?
"Can I help you?" The man said, turning his face slightly in your direction not quite yet abandoning the book in his hand.
"Ohh uhmm-" you were jolted out of your trance, startled you took a sidestep only to collide with the chair where a large unzipped duffel bag was placed. The contents of the bag spilled over.
"Shit! I am sorry." You quickly knelt to the ground to pick up the scattered items on the floor, the man joined you. Charger, earphones, epsom salt, bandage, and tiger balm ointment as you picked up the items you also increasingly grew baffled. What a weird assortment of things. You reached for the item that somehow managed to get under the table and as your fingers came in contact with the rough material of the cloth you learned that your assumption of his job was wrong. A man's canvas ballet shoes.
I thought he was a model.
"What?" The man questioned. You wince to yourself you just didn't say that out loud. You emerge from under the table to find that the man was looking at you too intently for your liking. His eyes sought out yours waiting for an explanation and as if you owe him one you started explaining yourself.
"Well, you are tall and extremely handsome so .." Cringing as the words flew out of your mouth. The man chuckled at your confession, a tell tale sign of a smile on the corner of his lips.
"I am flattered really but as you can deduct by now I actually do ballet." He rose to his feet and offered you his hand to help you stand up.
Unlike other days where he will leave the cafe after an hour or two, this time he stayed and unlike other days where you find yourself alone in the cafe; you find yourself enjoying the company of this mysterious man.
Where you quickly learned that all your presumptions about him have little truth in it. You learned that his name is Sicheng, and he is a principal dancer for the Korean National Ballet company not a model although with his looks he might as well be one. Yes, he travels but mostly for tours and performances. He practices an average of eight hours a day.
Your fascination for his life spurred the conversation as if you were friends catching up with each other. With the book set aside and the contents of the cup long empty you two didn't notice how much time had passed. He bid you goodbye with a promise to visit you again tomorrow. As you watch his retreating figure getting smaller, the snow piling on top of each other over the glass windows of the cafe there was a smile on your lips - the warmth of a newfound friendship is akin to a good cup of coffee - making you warm from the inside out.
Christmas 2017 - Cappuccino
"Surprise me," Sicheng said leaning on his hip at the counter, arms crossed on his chest, when you asked him what he would like to drink. Standing there he looked like the culmination of your dreams.
Maybe it's the iridescent lights from the numerous christmas lights that flickered on his face making him look more exquisite or the grin he gave you after. You did surprise him but not in the way he was expecting and to be honest you are also shocked by your sudden brazenness as you lean in to kiss his plush lips. The kiss didn't last long, a little more than a peck but long enough for you to regret it.
"I .. I am sorry," you stammered burying your heating up face in your hands, embarrassed. You didn't even see Sicheng's reaction, was he appalled? You peeked through your fingers to find out, when Sicheng started laughing, tipping his head back a little, eyes crinkled in mirth, his right hand covering the half of his handsome face.
You want nothing more than to shrivel up in one corner. He started tugging at your wrists, pulling your hands away from your burning face.
"Mind giving me more of that surprise?" The corner of his lips curved upwards, nose slightly crinkled, and you wished to etch his face to memory.
Christmas 2018 - Americano
He was late, you glanced at the clock hanging on the wall, it is now 11 P.M. and soon Christmas will be over.
The americano you have prepared already cold, his untouched while yours halfway finished. It's fine though because you know that this will be the first of the many Christmases you have to spend without Sicheng. You must get used to spending it alone again.
Musing to yourself your mind quickly took a trip down the memory lane of his last visit to the cafe before he got on tour with the company for one of the holiday stage productions.
--------
You have only heard the thud of the door as it closed on its hinges. You are currently cleaning the countertop back bowed and eyebrows furrowed in concentration as you meticulously scrubbed at the stubborn grease that won’t budge, lifting your head to do the customary greeting, when something or rather someone barreled straight to where you are, engulfing you in a tight hug that shoved you headfirst into that someone’s chest your nose burrowed deeply into the black cloth.
Recognizing the intoxicating scent of light musk and citrus, relief flooded you as you hugged Sicheng back. You don't know how long the two of you stayed in that position basking yourself with his warmth just a little longer.
He's real, he's here a safe and solid presence by your side. You can count by one hand the things that have endured with you throughout the years, other than the cafe which you have run since your mother got sick, dropping out of college to keep it going. And one of those is Sicheng you've found in him stability and comfort your past partners can't give you.
Sicheng pulled away putting some distance between the two of you, his arms naturally falling at his sides. He was wearing one of his brightest smiles, the apple of his cheeks high and pronounced on his face.
"_______, I've been offered the position of principal dancer at Bolshoi Ballet in Russia," He can't help but smile again clearly enthusiastic with the prospect of joining one of the most prestigious ballet companies.
It took you a moment to answer settling with an unconvincing, "Wow." You don't know how to react with his news, but you feel dread in the pit of your stomach. You don't like the idea of him leaving. You try not to let it show in your face.
"I know. I was also surprised." As if sensing the change in your demeanor he asked concerned, "Is something wrong, ______?"
"Nothing let me whip you a drink I found from the net," you brushed him off with a wave of your hand.
----------
"Hey _______, I am sorry there was some minor traffic that held us back," Sicheng announced his entrance that broke your reverie. Setting his duffel bag on the floor to sit on the opposite chair facing you.
His hair tousled, cheeks rosy and nose red but despite his healthy complexion you can also see the pronounced bags under his eyes with a tinge of violet. He looks tired and in dire need of rest. Yet he headed straight to the cafe instead of his apartment.
"Sicheng I've wanted to tell you something," perching your arms on the table to fiddle with the ear of the cup.
"Yeah?" Sicheng asked, staring right at you.
"I think," you cast your eyes down on the table, and with a small voice continued, "we should break up."
"You think?"
"I mean we should"
"Why?"
"I ... it's just that it will be easier for you." Your hands started gesticulating in the air.
"Don't give me that bull shit. You are not the judge of that," Sicheng replied in a cold manner.
"It's just you have this life before me and you'll also have a life after me." Your voice cracked, and you gathered your strength to look at him. "I am grateful that you have been a part of my life. You are crazy talented and right now the world opens up in front you and you deserve better. I can't give you that I ..-," clutching at your chest, "I am just me."
"It's nice to know that you think of me as some temporary phase in your life and here I am fool enough to think that maybe you'll want to come with me to Russia," a cruel laugh slipped from his lips, "christ, I can't even choose what coffee I'll be having and finally for once in my life I've never been so sure of anything," voice trailing, "but us.
"So I'll still ask because I know I will regret it, if I don't. Do you want to come with me?" Sicheng pierced you with his eyes, wearing his heart out on a sleeve. Leaving himself unguarded and hoping you'll come through.
But you have never been brave. "I'll stay and you go."
"I see," he said in a bittersweet tone before he turned his back at you.
Christmas 2020 - White Chocolate Mocha
"I told you Renjun you don't have to do your shift at Christmas." You look up to reprimand Renjun, and instead are met with familiar feline eyes that seem to see right through you. There stood Sicheng looking like an intricate piece of art displayed in the museums. It is more painful to look at him than anybody warned it would be. It hurts how familiar you are with him still dressed in black - turtleneck and slacks, his trusty duffel bag hanging on one shoulder, he's still the same but now you are nothing more than a past fling to him.
"Hey," Sicheng walked towards the counter greeting you.
"Hey," you shake your head from the trance that took over you, "Oh I'll make you something."
"I'll have a white chocolate mocha." Slightly surprised by his request it took you a second to start preparing it.
"When did you come back?" You inquired as you moved about to prepare his drink.
"Yesterday night"
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Would you have fetched me?" He asked nonchalantly.
You momentarily stiffen evading to answer the question you throw another at him, "How are you? Is Russia treating you well?"
"Can we cut the crap out? As much as I love dancing, I don't like dancing around in circles. I've come back for one reason only."
"Will you come with me to London?"
Looking at Sicheng standing there - after how much you have hurt him - you thought you will never see him again and you have long accepted that punishment. You are not brave and you will never be but
"Yes, I'd love to go with you."
what you have with him is worth it.

You were sitting on your bed, your left hand rubbing on your dizzy head while the right hand held your fifth drink of wine that night, staring at the empty space next to you, you felt a tear drop, streaming down your cheek. What went wrong? How did it go wrong? How did your pretty, sweet mouth that always gave comforting words end up saying the worst thing anyone could ever say to their precious other half? You'd do anything.. Anything to go to the past and take back everything you said, every single word, every single letter, but the problem is that you can not. You can not go back, you can not take your hurtful words back. You didn't mean most of them, or did you? Was it a misunderstanding? Was it love? Was it..... Lust? Did your boyfriend's eyes lie to him when they showed him how naked you were, laying next to someone who was not him? It was the first thing he saw, when he came back from his 3 months lasting mini world tour. And your stubborn self started blaming him for everything, you yelled at him and swore at him, you said and did things, that he had the rights to do, not you. And when you saw him leaving with his luggage, you only called him a coward and told him to fuck off. How insensitive and despicable could you be? How shameless could you be? He couldn't believe his eyes nor ears. You were not the same person he fell in love with. You start crying harder, hitting your chest you take the glass in your hand and throw it on the wall, screaming and crying. You hated yourself, you were ashamed of yourself and you regretted everything. You jump when you hear your phone ringing, the one and only, winwin calling. You quickly get up and pick it up and answer, before you get to say anything winwin talks
"I'm coming tomorrow to get my other things, I'll come in the morning when you'll be at work"
"but winwi-"
"i don't want to see your face"
He ends the call, letting you fall on the ground, you heard it, very clearly. You heard his cold voice, and you knew what it meant. He fell... out of love.
