Fencing tonight:

Missed last weeks update. Its was a good practice no notes.

Tried out a sidesword tonight.

It was a blast, yeah I had the shorter sword, but it made me move and think more than I have been. And i feel the good whole body tired i missed from HS sports.

Got some references if I want to keep learning it (I.33, Vulger Destreza, Bolognese) that I might take up. But we will see how long the love affair lasts, I totally blame the desire to try sidesword on the FF14 new expansion announcement amd i have a sickness for Viper.

That said, my teacher did show his custom sword that blends sidesword and rapier so if the insanity has taken hold deep enough i can do both Rapier and Sidesword at the same time. For a pretty $$$
