Having ADHD and living in a household with three other people who also all have ADHD is a nightmare. ADHD is already very self contradictory but usually that's fine because it's all me and when I do things it's fine. For example: ADHD says you always have to be moving at least a little bit but also that people tapping and making noise and fidgeting is the most obnoxious thing ever because the sensory input is ceaseless.

When I tap and fidget that's fine for me. All the stimulus is coming from me which (for some reason) totally negates any annoyance or sensory overload. However when all three people I live with are also constantly bouncing or tapping or whatever it's awful. It's the only sound I can hear and the only thing I can pay any attention to and it very quickly annoys and upsets me.

This is just the first example that I thought of but there are so many things about ADHD that are like this. Like being impulsive vs hating it when people try and spring last minute plans, talking a lot vs not being able to pay attention to people talking just as much, wanting to have a movie or show on in the background of your video game vs being overwhelmed by other people's background noise.

Quarantine has been. Frustrating.
