Still- couldn't get enough to draw his face and through the process, the scar patterns have changed since the first visualization, the facial features...

It gives me bit of an exasperation to look at the first and the latests, the differences of facial features quite stick out. I dunno about you viewer, but I see kind of entirely distinctive individuals in each XD

Anyways, I think, this is the most of how I imagined him- rugged, bitter and detached Maitimo.

Proces of drawing Maedhros ✨️

This drawing was planned to be only a figure study and character study of him: portraying his facial features ect...

As I was continuing, through groveling 3-months of sketching, an idea popped- to draw an scene depicting his survival from Thangorodrim instead.

I was pretty satisfied with the concept, so pursued it and stayed that way.

“Damage irreversible” - presents Maedhros who has endured the decades of torture. Despite his will to live after the rescue, doubtless was the psychological trauma inflicted upon his mind, that have plagued him through the rest of existence.
