My thoughts of Claudia and Luna Devorans... OMFG I need them on my screen, I need to hear them interact, I need to see their dynamic, I need to hear him love her for who she is and what she stands for, I need for him to not leave her like everyone else, I need him to stay with her, I need her to realize that he's not a bad dragon( he is but like, not bad in her eyes ), I need her to be firm but loving with him, I need her to be in love with him, I need to see their love blossom ( whether toxic or not ) I just need them on my screen. I wanna see it!!!

Red Queen Review

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard is a story told from the perspective of Mare Barrow. Mare Barrow lives in a word separated by the color of one’s blood: Silver or Red. Red Bloods have no power and are forced to work for the silvers. Silver bloods have power and rule. 

Reds have to serve in the War: A conflict that has been happening for 80 years that have killed countless lives. When Mare’s best friend is about to be sent, she does everything in her power to escape with him. In a twist of fate, she finds herself in the palace. Little does she know, that she has powers, and that her world.

I loved this book. It felt like a mix of fantasy and dystopian literature (my two favorite genres). The writing was poetic, beautiful, and it was just SO GOOD. What I didn’t like about this was that at the beginning of the book, I felt like Mare was a little self-centered. It was a little too fasted paced for me, but that’s a personal preference.
