JKAT in Silvered Bronze

JKAT has worked in sterling silver for a decade. But, now there's a new option - Silvered Bronze JKAT. With the price of silver going up, up, up and the economy see-sawing up & down, we decided that there had to be a way for our customers to enjoy the designs we make without breaking their bank. So we decided to start offering our work in Silvered Bronze, that is, cast in bronze and coated with a really thick layer of fine silver. Even after working in sterling for so many years, I am hard pressed to be able to tell the difference between a JKAT piece made in sterling vs silvered bronze. Sometimes, I'm forced to actually put them on a scale because the silvered bronze is slightly lighter than sterling.

We chose to release the JKAT Silvered Bronze collection only to the stores that buy from us first. There are so many boutiques across the country that are really feeling the effects of the economy and they told us that many of their customers just couldn't afford to drop $150 to $200 on a piece of jewelry no matter how much they loved it. We heard that and took it to heart. Small businesses need all the breaks we can get and we were thrilled to come up with a solution that provided our custom designs at a more affordable price to the boutiques that we admire so much - without compromising the look of JKAT Jewelry at all.

Now we are ready to offer JKAT Silvered Bronze directly to you, our beloved fans & customers. And we couldn't be more excited. For now, it will only be available here, on our blog. We didn't want to confuse matters by mixing our Sterling Silver collection with our Silvered Bronze on one site. So, www.jkatjewelry.com will remain dedicated to Sterling Silver JKAT Jewelry.** But, here on our blog, I will be posting items that are made in Silvered Bronze for sale directly to you!
