Isabel: Honestly, Mama, I really don’t understand why he’s making it out to be such a big deal. There’d be no harm in it. 

Eliza: No harm? No harm? Isabel Helena Patrice, you have caused more harm to your family over the past 2 weeks then your aunt did to her children in 4 months. You did absolutely nothing for the crown the entire time you had a title. Sophie is doing more for the Crown at 15 than you were doing at 30. Of course Richard doesn’t want to give the title to you, he’s saving it for his own daughter.

Isabel: Is that why Papa never gave it to me? Because I don’t ‘do anything’? I did do things! I opened museums, I was patron of different organizations. I did plenty. 

Eliza: Your father never gave it to you because he knew what would happen the second you got that additional wave of power into your head. It had nothing to do with the limited amount of work that you did. You may have taken after your father in looks, but Watcher knows where you got your personality from.

Isabel: Claire! 

Claire: Izzy? What are you doing here? It’s 9am. 

Isabel: What, a big sister can’t come by to see her baby sister when she’s passing through? 

Claire: Passing through? Where are you going? 

Isabel: Oh, off to see Mama. She invited me to spend the week with her at Landfarm. Why? She didn’t invite you? 

Claire: Jim, the kids and I are going up next weekend to see her, so yes, she has invited us. 

Isabel: Anyway, I was wondering… 

Claire: Here it comes… 

Isabel: If you would be quiet for one moment. I was wondering if you would be so kind as to talk to our brother as to my place in succession? 

Claire: Again? You’re seriously asking me to do this again? 

Isabel: Well, you are Mama’s favorite. 

Claire: This has nothing to do with Mama. Besides, Richard and I are civil to each other, I wouldn’t call us close by any means. 

Isabel: Oh puh-lease. We all know that you’re his favorite sister. 

Claire: That doesn’t mean that I’m going to ask him to restore you, I hardly see him as is. We all know that he won’t. Besides, it’s not like you’re going to wear the crown anyway.  

Isabel: Fine. If you won’t help me, maybe our mother will.

Isabel: Of course I do! It’s the only outfit I have that’s acceptable for such an occasion.

Gianna: But in white? Seriously Mom? 

Isabel: Honestly Gianna, you’re acting like I’ve committed some heinous crime when I honestly haven’t. 

Gianna: I just thought… 

Isabel: Thought what? Out with it. 

Gianna: That only brides were supposed to wear white to a wedding. 

Isabel: Oh darling, that rule doesn’t apply to family! 

Gianna: I’m pretty sure it does. 

Isabel: That wicked stepmother of yours is trying to warp your worldview, isn’t she? I knew I should have changed the custody order after they got married.

Gianna: Mom! For one day can you stop acting like the world revolves around you? You’re not the one getting married, Tom is. To Paige, who like it or not, is about to become your daughter-in-law. And no, Kate isn’t trying to “warp my worldview.” She’s showing me what an actual mother looks like and should be for her kids. 

Isabel: Get out. 

Gianna: What? 

Isabel: Get out of my sight. Get out of this room. If you care so deeply about your father and that evil witch then you can spend the rest of your time with them. 

Gianna: Oh really? Perfect. I’m so glad that I’ll now have a mother who cares about me instead of the woman who gave birth to me.
