After restarting my simblr with this username, I am utterly surprised at myself for accomplishing soo much this year given the external factors I had to deal with (finishing college, alot of mental/emotional struggles, and just life keeping me busy). I like to thank many of you for following this blog and the many shenanigans I put my sims through for my entertainment. Your comments are always the highlights of my posts, so thank you.
In 2020, I would like to:
Continue with current saves and add more if need be.
Improve editing skills
Try not to prioritize simblr over anything life related/important
Make my game more chaotic
Get to University in my Lepacy this year
Try something different every family/generation
🎊 🥳 See you in 2020! 🎉🎊
Edith Pearl Stanton is the oldest of ten children. As the oldest child, she was subjected to parentification. Edith was determined to escape the domestic life and live wild and free. At sixteen, she experienced an alien abduction and her first romance. Edith's teen romance led to pregnancy. She gave the baby boy up for adoption, knowing she wasn't mother material.
After she left the home for unwed mothers, she worked menial jobs, moving from town to town. When she met Cosmos, her life forever changed. Cosmos was one of the founders of a free-love community, Aunt Mary's Farm. Edith quickly moved in, becoming Cosmos' favorite lover and soulmate. Edith thrived for the first time in her life. She was able to live without repression or boundaries. When Cosmos became terminally ill, Edith cared for him until his last breath. Then she left the farm, unable to bear being in the commune without him.
Afterward, Edith drifted from job to job and community to community throughout the globe. Lovers came and went, and she refused many marriage proposals. Ten years ago, Edith met her best friend, Millie. Millie introduced her to the senior center they both live at now. Edith loves (most of) the residents like family but wishes they lived in a warmer climate. Despite her contentment for a well-lived life, she's positive there are still adventures ahead.
Edith faq: boop, boop, and boop
Markus discovered he had a younger half-sister, Aisla, from when his parents were separated. Then, his former lover, Margaux, proposed that Markus join her in a business venture. Gemma supported Markus in talking through these significant changes in his life.
Next, Gemma and Markus discussed starting a family. They decided to forgo birth control and let nature take its course. Gemma arranged a meet and greet with Dave - president of one of her fan clubs - at the senior center.
Gemma and Markus spent time with friends and planned to move to a larger home in Newport. Dave informed Gemma the last two movies she filmed would finally be released later in the year. She nervously told Markus that she had nude scenes in one film. He assured her that he'd keep his jealousy in check.
Markus discovered Windenburg would be the location for his new business. Thrilled at the idea of a country home, Gemma planned their move and sold her cabin to a neighbor. But before they'd move, they'd fly to Windenburg with Markus' parents to meet Aisla.
Gemma and Markus settled into their new lives. Markus set up an office space in the loft. And Gemma spent her days in the greenhouse. Glimmerbrook created a natural romantic isolation for the two lovebirds.
But they occasionally stepped out of their forested bubble. They attended a wedding, helped a friend, trained to climb Mt. Komorebi, and went on dates.
Markus and Gemma celebrated their first Winterfest together. Then, they went to San Myshuno to celebrate New Year's Eve with Markus' parents.
Just before Love Day, Markus and Gemma traveled to Mt. Komorebi. They exchanged their first ILYs at the summit. They had their first fight. After making up, they took a detour to help a friend on the way home.
Gemma volunteered to direct a play for the elderly residents of a nearby assisted living home. Markus found himself overworked and in need of help. After some discussion - and Gemma's blessing - he hired a former lover.
After some reflection, Markus retrieved his grandmother's ring and proposed to Gemma.
Gemma saved enough residuals (during her camping year) to purchase land and a log cabin kit. Gemma's contractor bailed, and Gemma reluctantly asked Markus for help. Gemma found Markus very attractive and worried that would affect working together.
But she quickly disliked working with him for other reasons. He was snarky, stubborn, and micro-managed the project. However, they soon became friendly, teasing, and laughing while ignoring the building attraction between them.
Gemma received news that her mother died. Markus comforted her and let her talk through her grief. They almost kissed, but a telephone call interrupted them. The next day, the sexual tension between them was palpable.
Gemma decided to make the first move, and they tumbled into bed. The next morning, they talked and agreed they would part ways after they completed the home project. Despite her best efforts, Gemma found herself head over heels in love. Unbeknownst to her, Markus felt the same way.
Gemma and Markus finally opened up, sharing their feelings. Despite having known each other for only two months, Markus moved in with Gemma. It was a leap of faith for both of them.
An embittered, alcoholic Kelly birthed Gemma Delaine Clarke in the Strangerville Hospital. Kelly wrote down "unknown" for the father's name. But Kelly pathologically lied, so was that truthful?
Kelly viewed Gemma as a means of wish fulfillment. When Gemma was a baby and a toddler, Kelly entered Gemma into beauty contests. Kelly told her tiny child that Gemma would be a movie star one day.
Life wasn't easy for Gemma. Her mother never physically abused her, but the mental and emotional abuse took its toll. Gemma's only refuge came from an elderly neighbor who frequently babysat her. Gemma occasionally dreamed of her father. In her dreams, he was her savior. He would come to take her away from Kelly.
Gemma would live a happy life with a loving family. It would be better than living with a critical mother who called you names or refused to allow you more than three bites of a sweet. Kelly said that fat girls couldn't be movie stars.
She padlocked the fridge and limited what Gemma ate. Gemma learned from a young age to never mention the dreams of her father or ask questions about him. Kelly would lose her temper and make Gemma's life miserable for weeks. And she learned disagreeing with her mother's plans would make her life hell.
