Hey everyone! Who are your favorite fictional character(s) OF ALL TIME and what are their types? If you're able to, what's one word/quote that highlights why you're so drawn to them?

Probably think she's already won. But she underestimates me...just as she always did. This is just starting, Lotus. But I also really, really like Helen Magnus and Kate Freelander from Sanctuary.

hoooough. that’s a tough question to answer. it’s hard for me to answer who my ‘favorites’ are for different reasons because i’ll tend to cycle through favorite narratives rather than singular characters, if that makes sense, but i’ll give it a try.Dale Cooper (Twin Peaks)- INFJRyouta Kawara (Hatoful Boyfriend) - ISFJDana Scully (The X-Files) - ISTJ

those are the ones that seem most… profound to me! i cycle through a lot of media and always find favorite characters here and there for each of them, but those are the ones that i’ve had a lasting fondness for. i don’t have quotes on hand because i haven’t went through any of those narratives in a while!

i’m going to take the liberty of not choosing favourite characters of all time, but characters who were some kind of... formative experience for me.

Enjolras, Les Miserables (ENTJ), and Mr. Fox (also ENTJ), from Fantastic Mr. Fox, both book and Wes Anderson film apply, but specially the latter.

Mr. Fox - “Because I’m a wild animal” // “I understand what you're saying, and your comments are valuable, but I'm gonna ignore your advice.” // “I don't know, but I have a possible theory. I think I have this thing where I need everybody to think I'm the greatest, and if they aren't completely knocked-out, dazzled, and kind of intimidated by me, then I don't feel good about myself.”

could you type its always sunny if you ever watched it... i have a tough time typing the main characters

I’ve seen a few seasons of it… It’s difficult to type comic relief characters, I find, because they’re not necessarily good representations of any specific thought process, they’re just funny. In It’s Always Sunny, they’re all comic relief characters, which makes it tough. I’ll do my best:

Besides hanging out with people who have Ti-dom (who I'm yet to find, unfortunately), do you have any tips for those seeking to better develop their Ti-inferior?

My suggestion would be to actively consider how you can better understand the world around you.

Ti is a lot of about applying internal logical systems to understand what you're doing.

So the more you consciously do that in your every day life (Rather than just punching it through when you think you have to), the better developed it will be come.

But do be sure to be working your tertiary function as well, because that could put you in the grip if you start over-analyzing.

I'm having trouble typing one of my friends, at first I thought he was an ESFJ but now I'm thinking he might an ESFP? Do you know any questions I could ask him that will help me type him?

I'd recommend investigating Si v. Se -- It tends to be easier than investigating Fe v. Fi, because the two can show as one another (Though please note that Fe users tend to have a natural key-in to the emotions of others).

I don't know of any way you could casually ask him for information, unless you asked him how he decided on something (Especially like a career or course of study), or why he believes in something he believes in (Like, a moral belief), that might give you some tip-offs.

Have you watched grand budapest hotel? could you type the characters if you can?

... You guys are right on top of me. I watched Grand Budapest Hotel for the first time on Tuesday. Antoine knows it better than I do, though, so I am noting that if they want to correct any of my typings, they can feel free.

Could you type some celebrities if you know enough abt them? i'm curious what is Caitlyn Jenner's type, Chris Evans' and Roger Egbert's.

Chris Evans I believe is an ESFJ.

I honestly don’t know much about Caitlyn Jenner, but I think she may be a Fe-user? Maybe an ISFJ? 

And Robert Ebert might be an ESTJ.

Can you explain why karen is isfp and why foggy is esfj and matt is entj? i thought karen was infp but i havent watched all of daredevil so im probably wrong im just curious.

Given, I also haven’t finished Daredevil, but I’m secure in my judgement and I was stagnating, so I did it.

For Karen: I just don’t see her using Ne at all. Her Fi is very obvious, but as it seems to me, she lives largely in the moment -- when she thinks about the future, she doesn’t really consider alternate possibilities or alternate meanings for things as a Ne user would. She talks about seeing the evils of the city in the shadows, and that’s how her PTSD shows itself (rather than frequent flashbacks and always thinking about the past -- Which is another way that PTSD can show itself, but is less common in Se users).

For Foggy: This is arguable the one I’m least sure on and would take arguments on, but his Fe was the most clear to me. I think it’s really obvious when you look at his interactions with Karen. It’s all centered around showing her what he knows and what he’s done for fun and to cheer up others (Which is where his Si comes through -- He follows those patterns), and the Fe shows up in that he understands what people need, and he understands their emotions. You see him get emotional, and he doesn’t need or want to hide it. Fe.

For Matt: Part of what shows up for me here is how Matt uses Se. He’s totally and completely aware of the world around him because of his spatial “radar” vision (For people who aren’t aware: Because Matt’s blindness was caused by radioactive chemicals, his mind creates a 360-deg map of the world around him) and uses it to let his in-the-minute actions take place. But it’s not his main function, he uses it to kick his auxiliary Ni into play. He has this deep end goal. Talks in metaphors to convey what he’s really trying to get across. And everything is logical and organized -- Te. He really doesn’t understand how he’s hurting others at all, he just knows that he has a moral code to fulfill, and that he knows how he wants to fulfill it (By double-teaming as a defense attorney and a vigilante).
