Thank you for answering my submission about what type you think I might be. I am looking up the functions of both INTP and ISTP. I’ve actually been wondering about those two, and I’m trying to figure whether I use Ne-Si, or Se-Ni. Most of what I’ve tried reading about ISTP says that they’re athletic, which I am not. I am far from athletic. However I remember you saying that they tend to take risk without really realizing it, and looking back I did some things that were kind of dangerous, just so I can get something done. So now I’m reading more about the functions, and I’m trying to find something that doesn’t do stereotypes, like saying that ISTPs have an athletic build while INTPs do not.
Athleticism can be common with ISTPs because there tends to be an urge for adrenaline that exists among ISTPs, which is generally delivered by sports. My ISTP friend follows lifting blogs for the adrenaline.
Risk-taking and seeking adrenaline are pretty typical of ISTPs, but that doesn't necessarily manifest in athletics specifically.
I've got: #simon does mbti functions #simon does intp #simon does istp
Though as of late I've been doing a lot of typing posts.
readingontheroof, infj-mbti, and funkymbtifiction all have good descriptions of functions.
Can you type the characters from Brooklyn Nine Nine?
YES I love this show? There's several characters that are just so typically their types.

Some more information that I forgot to add last night.
I tend to second guess myself a lot. If someone ask me a question, I usually say something like I think, maybe, or it might might whenever answer questions. I can figure out ways that I could be wrong, which isn’t a great thing to do when writing an essay.
My mind also likes to jump around with different possibilities, and sometimes I think up of bad scenarios that could happen but then I counteract that by thinking of a more positive scenario, even neutral one, that could also happen.
There are times where I get caught up in the past and sometimes I use that to base a decision. Like I can think up of different possibilities that could happen if I make certain decision, but I tend to use a decision that I made before if it worked out for me. I also use my past to try and predict what another person might do, based on what they did in the past. I also think of the other ways they might react, but I give more thought to what they did in the past.
That’s pretty much all I can write right now as I don’t really have the time.
Okay. Well. I mean, I'm sure you know yourself much better than me -- The different possibilities aspects sounds like you could be an INTP, but the second guessing sounds more ISTP because of tertiary Ni.
You really appear to be a Ti-dom, and do recall that Se-users still do utilize the past in how they make their decisions -- It's not just Si.
Again, you sound like you're probably an ISTP, but I'd really recommend you evaluate your functions.
If you want, and if you have time, can any of you type me, because I am bored and I am never sure what I am?
I like to analyze things, even if I don’t need to, especially if I am really interested. And I like to come up with different ideas, but if someone comes up with an idea, I’ll ponder it and either reject it if it doesn’t make sense to me, suspend judgement because I don’t have all the information, or sometimes accept it. Sometimes I do ponder ideas that I know seem illogical, and then discuss them with someone because it is fun.
I like to research things that have caught my interest, and I tend to get obsessed. I also do like to make list categorizing something that interest, or I plan on making some lists and charts, but I forget to get it out of my head.
Also, I am a people pleaser but I’m trying to get away from that. I find emotions to be overwhelming, and I really didn’t have a great experience with emotions, especially other people’s emotions, when I was growing up. I try to be polite and friendly to people but that gets hard for me because it tires me out.
I am definitely not great with my own emotions, so I try not to make decisions based on them, and I generally have a hard time making decisions because of alexithymia. Unless the emotion is really strong and then I get impulsive. Usually I either have to base my decisions on logic or habit. If it isn’t that important to me then I use habit to decide it.
Yeah. That’s about it.
You sound like you're for sure a Ti-dom, and then either Se or Ne. I'd lean towards ISTP based on this description you've given me, but I wouldn't rule out INTP.
Simon, could you type the characters of Over the Garden Wall? <:
Yea.
Wirt - ISFP
Greg - ESFP (Important to remember that Greg is a child, though, so that may change over time)
Beatrice - ENTJ
Woodsman - ISFJ
The Beast - INFJ
The rest weren’t really recurring, so I’ll not type them. But if there’s anyone specific let me know.
Has any of you watched inside out? if any of you have, could you type the emotions?
YES I saw this a few weeks ago and almost cried because I used the closed captioning accessibility devices and I actually understood what the people in the film were saying for the whole thing for the first time ever. It was nice.
But anyway… It’s probably going to be fairly stereotypical because they are literally base emotions. I apologize in advance.

hi, can you help me type my friend? she really likes lists and shes told me that she actually has different notebooks for everything, eg she has a notebook for creativity, a notebook for writing, a notebook for lists. shes can be very kind and shes naturally empathetic but she can also be very detached and rational- irrationality "annoys the shit out of her", and she dislikes it when people repeat the same mistakes or "miss the obvious". she also has a "60 year plan", idk if thats Ni. thanks (:
It sounds like she might use Ti high in her stack?
How do you know she's naturally empathetic? A lot of people do mistake kindness and sympathy for empathy, so I want to make sure that the two aren't being conflated.
It's not really enough information for me to know for sure, but it sounds like she might be a Ti-dom, possible with Se auxiliary (ISTP).
