Hey everyone, what's one historical figure would you guys want to meet if you could (and their MBTI type)? What would you guys do/talk about?

Frankly I want to meet Nikola Tesla and scold him for supporting eugenics. He’s an INTJ. I’m angry at him; He was a traitor.

aldo leopold! he’s considered by some to be the father of wildlife management and modern conservation. i’ve read a bit of his writing and researched his work as a conservationist and forester. i’m not too sure of his type, but if i had to guess, i would probably say ISFJ.

i’ve visited his cabin before. a lot of his personal writing stems from experiences he’s had in living in the wilderness of central wisconsin, and that’s where i grew up, so i guess a lot of the way i think of him and his writing is important to me as an ecology enthusiast and as a person. i’m sure we’d talk about that more than anything else.- claire

Are INFJ x INTJ romantically compatible?

But uh, realistically, any two types can be romantically compatible. There's no way to say yes or no to this question -- Myers-Briggs doesn't evaluate romantic compatibility. It depends on personal values and how much the people in the relationship are willing to work, not their Myers-Briggs types.

im an entp and i think i have strong Fe and i have an intj and one infj friend. when theres a fight between us, i usually dont engage if the other person will disrupt the peacefulness between us. my intj friend will jump on the other person and say what they are saying is illogical for these reasons and my infj friend will come in and say something about it doesnt fully matter about logic and more about the feelings of others. i was wondering if this sounds like something linked to mbti?

It could be, potentially. Your INTJ and INFJ friend certainly sound like theirs could be linked to MBTI, especially if the INTJ's comments on lack of logic are also related to lack of efficiency.

For yours, if your worry about disrupting the peacefulness is concerned in the reactions you three will ultimately be able to have with one another, it certainly could be, with your tertiary Fe.

Though I generally don't see ENTPs with Fe that developed, it's not by any means impossible.

Do rationals tend to work badly with the same type compared to others? my closest friends are an entp, entj, intj and im an intp, we always talk about how hard it was to work with most others with the same type, my entp friend said she could get nothing done because she needed someone to ground her and the entj said whenever she met an entj with even a little conflict in morals, it would be awful for both. my intj friend just said everyone pisses him off so that might not be due to mbti.

That's what I've noticed, at least. With INTJs and ENTJs, we generally aren't able to work through conflicting Fi, and if the other isn't willing to conform to what we want to do (Which, as a general rule, they do not), we can't work together. There needs to be more difference between NTJs -- Which is why I struggle to work with other INTJs, but I can work fine with Antoine. The flipping of our functions helps.

For INTPs and ENTPs, Ti and Fe will cause a problem. The Fe on the low end of the stack will mean they can't read the other (or don't care if they can), and it'll conflict with the logical end of the stack, especially if their logic systems don't match up.

Reaching one another can be difficult.

... You guys are right on top of me. I watched Grand Budapest Hotel for the first time on Tuesday. Antoine knows it better than I do, though, so I am noting that if they want to correct any of my typings, they can feel free.

Tips for refining one's Ni if they have it? Also, what makes Ni-planning different from Te-planning towards their goal from an INTJ and ENTJ perspective (who uses both)?

Tips for refining Ni... Difficult, since it comes very naturally to me, and generally will for people with it as a dominant or auxiliary. For those with tertiary/inferior Ni, the likely advice would be to step back from whatever they're deciding to do and think about their future, carefully. Avoid all impulse, and think in the longest range possible.

And I frankly wouldn't say that they're different, Ni and Te -- Because they're different types of functions (Ni is perceiving, Te is judging), they work together. Ni will feed Te, and Te will feed Ni.

The difference between an ENTJ and an INTJ is which will take precedent. Will they perceive, first, or will they judge first? This will allow an INTJ to be more the type to get "lost in thought," so to say, whereas an ENTJ will likely be planning their future, sometimes with less abstract thought (And their Se will take more action than in an INTJ).

Hey Simon, what is it like being an 'Othercentric' (R-Drive) INTJ? Silly stereotypes aside, I know ya'll got feelings and can care about others. Just wondering how 'othercentric' might look like from an INTJ perspective. Thank you, if you're able to describe what it's like for you! :)

I have a very strong, strict moral code. I have OCD, and moral scrupulosity is part of it.

I will say that I don't have a full understanding of R-Drive, and may have to re-evaluate that, but for me it's like this:

I was a law student fot two years. I hated it. I hate to write, I don't particularly like law, but I felt a need to stay in the field because I had suffered a lot, for a long time because I'm disabled and I'm queer and trans.

I looked at this as a responsibility for me to change things for people.

I stay up for days because I need to get work done, and I'm largely driven by my need to help others -- It's motivation for me to do things.

Honestly... I care very little about the emotions of others, and I don't pretend to. But I care very deeply about systemic oppression. Though it's not necessarily against my moral code to hurt others, or to follow a moral code that someone else may lay out for me, it's absolutely against my moral code to avoid contributing to systemic oppression and to break it down as possible by any means necessary. Not as in, "Ends justify the means," because the path you take can be harmful to those you're trying to help, but if it's harmful to the privileged, so be it.
