But uh, realistically, any two types can be romantically compatible. There's no way to say yes or no to this question -- Myers-Briggs doesn't evaluate romantic compatibility. It depends on personal values and how much the people in the relationship are willing to work, not their Myers-Briggs types.

infj anon from before, and thank you for replying. i see that he probably does it to push my buttons but now im thinking he might also do it because he is genuinely concerned for me? because it usually happens when we are having a more serious conversation and i make a joke and he might think im actually not ok or something like that, and i think thats Fe? i'm not positive tho.

Well, that's certainly possible, but I don't think it would be because of Fe. Fe gives people a natural inclination to empathy, not caring about people (That's just a common side effect).

Fe should mean that he should be able to tell your intention, especially combined with Ni.

I think he'd have to be in the loop, and using Ni with Ti -- He's overanalyzing it and not really understanding how you're actually feeling.

I have an infj friend and we get along great and he's a good buddy. ill say a joke like "i'm immortal" or something and he will dig super deep into that and be say i'm afraid of death or something like that even though i was joking and since he does try to find a deeper meaning into things people say a lot. i kinda wanted to know if this could be linked to mbti at all? someone said it might be the the Ni+Fe combination but idk?

That could be Ni, certainly. I don't know that it'd be Fe, because generally Fe implies that you have a better understanding to be able to tell that you were joking.

Sounds like he's in the loop, if I'll be honest. But it could also be that he's being an asshole who likes to press your buttons.

I am an INFJ, and the two people i get along more deeply in the whole world are INFJ too... Do INFJs get along well with each other in your experience? Why do you think it works?

Your combined auxiliary Fe could make you all aware of each other's needs enough so that you don't antagonize each other.

That's the only MBTI explanation that there would be for that -- It's possible that it's partially coincidence, as well.

Personally I only know one INFJ, so I'm not certain that they get along with other INFJs.

im an entp and i think i have strong Fe and i have an intj and one infj friend. when theres a fight between us, i usually dont engage if the other person will disrupt the peacefulness between us. my intj friend will jump on the other person and say what they are saying is illogical for these reasons and my infj friend will come in and say something about it doesnt fully matter about logic and more about the feelings of others. i was wondering if this sounds like something linked to mbti?

It could be, potentially. Your INTJ and INFJ friend certainly sound like theirs could be linked to MBTI, especially if the INTJ's comments on lack of logic are also related to lack of efficiency.

For yours, if your worry about disrupting the peacefulness is concerned in the reactions you three will ultimately be able to have with one another, it certainly could be, with your tertiary Fe.

Though I generally don't see ENTPs with Fe that developed, it's not by any means impossible.

I was the anon who asked about MBTI and asperger's. I was diagnosed at 13 but I always get INFJ. I'm not the warmest person, and I don't always pick up on social cues, but I believe I am an INFJ at my core.

I would recommend to you that you read up on the functions. INFJ is dominant Ni, auxiliary Fe, tertiary Ti, and inferior Se. 

But INFJs often are not “warm” until they trust people. They tend to warm up after that, but it’s not consistent. And social cues are... I don’t know how to define them. But Fe is mainly based on the bare attention to the emotions of others, which often shows as caring (for the sake of them rather than for morals, which is more consistent with Fi) and ability to pick up on their emotions. So you don’t necessarily need all social cues (i.e., you could see “This person is upset” but not understand that someone wants you to smile back at them).

idk if this is related to mbti but whenever i break off a friendship, lose someone close to me, etc. i get over it extremely quickly. i rarely feel sad about it for a long time or any time at all if the person didnt share my vision for fullfillment? when i remember good memories i had with them, they are nice memories but they wont help me in the future and the future is what im focused on and what im most excited/concerned about. could you tell me if that sounds like a mbti type/function?

Depending on why you the friendship ends (Claire discusses the INFJ’s tendency to cut off from toxic people), but friendship’s sometimes just end because they end, so... Yes, very typical of Ni-doms, and often Ni-aux’s.
