the way wille runs after and hugs simon after the gun scene is so so painful and sweet and intimate and well acted in ways i cant even explain. of course simon is panicked and scared and cannot handle touch at the moment and wille is even worse and just lashed out. but the way he throws himself at and holds simon as if he were being drafted to war in the morning takes my breath away every time. so much protectiveness and love in his face he physically cannot hold it inside at the ugliest possible moment. so much so it’s startling. no one will ever do ‘it’s complicated’ like them i fear

Sometimes I think about Wille's mum just....ruling well into her nineties like QE2.

Like I'd say she had Erik and Wille fairly late but even so that'd still make them 60 odd.

The scandal has had almost half a century to become...nothing.

Wille and Simon have got fricking grandkids.

They're just an older non traditional couple and....no one cares?

Spent the whole of their twenties stressing and planning and wondering how Wille was gonna handle being king and how Simon was gonna handle being consort and then it just.....doesn't happen.

For DECADES.

And by the time it does they're 60 and have raised kids and grandkids and weathered a bunch of stuff and are like.

Do you ever think about how cute it is that Simon immediately knew that Wille had no idea the song was about him. Like personally watching this and the way the argument was going idk what i was thinking but I wasn't thinking "oh Wille has no idea this is about him". Like based on his little smile and stuff when he heard the song I thought he got the general message esp since Felice and other people did. But Simon says it so matter of factly like he obviously doesn't know so I'm gonna tell him. It also feels a little like he gave him the benefit of the doubt- like assumed Wille didn't know vs assuming he did know and was still acting this way. I just think it's one of those little ways that shows Simon really understands Wilhelm and their communication may not always be spelled out but they get each other in their own way. I kind of see this scene as similar to the "Wille, It's Okay" moment in terms of Simon understanding him.
