After just finishing 21x12, I now present-
a totally accurate conversation that the writers of SVU season 21 (probably) had:
_________________________________________
“Hey, so I’ve got a GREAT idea for this season!”
“Yeah?”
“What if - and hear me out here - we bring back a shit ton of our obscure and old characters. . . like, the ones Liv has the most history with.”
“Oh, neat. That could lead to some interesting plot threads.”
“Uh huh. Like her brother- ooh, and Tucker! And then. . . I dunno- we could have them reconnect with Olivia after being apart for so long.”
“That’ll definitely attract our older viewe-“
“AND THEN we kill them off unceremoniously in the most tragic ways imaginable! I’m talking, the most gut-wrenching shit-“
“What?”
“Yeah, think about it. Getting kidnapped by a homicidal maniac twice, having her kid kidnapped, having her closest friend and partner leave her after twelve years. . . I mean, it just doesn’t scream ‘tortured soul’ enough, does it?”
“So to clarify, we should unnecessarily traumatise Olivia even more?”
“Pretty great, right?”
“. . .”
“Well?”
“. . . I love it, let’s do it!”
doomed siblings >>>>> doomed couples
