Second batch of auditions are now available! We have openings for a handful more characters than our previous casting call from June 19th!
Please read this post carefully as our audition guidelines and information have changed since our last rounds of audition posts in March 2025 and we've tweaked our process slightly to account for the volume of submissions we've received. (Thank you so much!)
If you would prefer to use Casting Call Club, we now have a CCC page you can audition through! This has a slightly different process than our casting call through Tumblr so please be sure to read it thoroughly, too. Check it out here.
We are currently holding auditions for the following characters:
Dirk Strider
Equius Zahhak
Gamzee Makara
We're also looking for 1 additional artist, 2-3 additional lyricists, and 4 additional audio mixers to join our creative team.
You must be 18+ to apply for this project.
You can learn a little more about what we're looking for per-character, how to apply, and what our new audition process looks like under the cut:
Characters We're Casting For

The Audition Process For Character Roles
The audition process is done in 2 phases: Initial Audition and Callback Phase.
If you would also like to apply as a member of the creative team, please send a separate email following the guidelines in the "How To Apply" section.
Initial Audition
You'll send your initial email with an acapella recording of a song of your choosing that shows off your range.
At this stage, we'll be looking at your vocal technique as well as your mic quality. Don’t hesitate to also share links any prior music, art, or voice acting work you've done with us if you have it! We'd love to see it.
Callback Phase
If our team wants to move forward to the next stage with you, you'll receive a set of callback songs. You will have 20 days from the email being sent to pick one and return a fully edited cover performed in the style of the character you've chosen. At this stage, we're looking at the following things:
Your audio editing proficiency (i.e. if you are able to do basic audio editing skills such as trimming audio/room noise, basic volume balancing, and the use of basic vocal plugins).
Your energy and confidence while recording.
What character acting you will be bringing to the role. While a distinct character voice may not always be applicable for every role, we’re looking to see how you get into character.
We are not looking for a perfect studio-quality mix-- We just want to see what your baseline skills are for editing audio.
Please note: To keep a consistent benchmark, we discourage song parodies or any lyric alterations at this stage.

finding songs that are decent and not absolutely insanely popular for your auditions can be really difficult, so i've taken the liberty of making two playlists with rare-ish/uncommon/less common musical theatre solos; one for male voices and one for female voices <3
take a listen and see what's best, and please @ anyone you think would find this helpful! i want to make sure i span as many songs and musicals as possible, so please name some of your obscure faves in the notes/comments too!!
Okay here is the most important tip for singing auditions:
Pick a song that isn’t a super famous song, but not one so unknown that the pianist won’t know how to play it.
Do you know how many times the panel has probably heard “On My Own” or “Mozart Was Crazy” in the last hour alone? So many times that there’s a good chance as soon as you hand over the sheet music they’re already thinking “nah”. Unless you’re 100% certain you can hit that song out of the ballpark in a way no one else has done today, don’t shoot yourself in the foot like that.
Honestly your best chance lies in a lesser-known song by a well-known composer. Pick one of Frank Wildhorn’s lesser known musicals. Pick a song from a musical choreographed by Bob Fosse. Pick one from a musical your parents will recognise the name of. DO NOT pick a musical that’s popular on Tumblr for the love of god.
Hi everyone! Blossom is an upcoming Sims J-Pop/K-Pop group based off of the concept of the anime Love Live. There are 9 members total (3 first year high school students, 3 second year high school students, and 3 third year high school students). Each accepted vocalist will be assigned a Sim that they will voice, and the group will be producing albums including full covers of K-Pop songs as well as Love Live songs! The title track of each album will come with a music video. Sims will be assigned based on a combination of your personality, as well as how your voice sounds!
I want to make an english cover of Lamaze-P’s “If it’s Making a Song, Let’s Get Started!”
It’s a vocaloid song and there are 5 different singers plus 1 speaking part. The characters that sing are Hatsune “Miku”, Yuzuki “Yukari”, “Sasara” Satou, Tohoku “Zunko”, and Tsurumaki “Maki”.
I wanted to know if anyone was interested in singing with me. If you’re interested I’ll send you the lyrics and a version of the song where all the parts are sung by me, and a version where only the parts of your character are sung. Then you can send your vocals to me :3
I’ve really wanted to cover this song for a long time. I would be really happy if you would sing with me ^^
Here’s a description of the character’s voices:
Hatsune Miku: (Most of you know her probably) Soprano/Cutesy/Anime-like/Bright and Cheery
Yuzuki Yukari: Alto/Mature-Sound/Calm
Sasara Satou: (Will be sung by me)
Tohoku Zunko: Light and Airy/Soft and Gentle/Sweet
Tsurumaki Maki: (The Speaking part) Tomboyish/Sassy

We haven’t gotten quite enough auditions just yet, but we are hopeful that very soon we may be casting our first member!
