I propose to you: Spock and Kirk adopting a half vulcan child. This kid, having been raised on Vulcan, has had a hard time with peers and not feeling ‘Vulcan Enough’.
So what does Kirk do? Starts acting as illogically as he can. Gives Spock a heart attack to find his t’hy’la standing on an extremely flimsy chair to reach something on a high shelf.
BUT. Now this tiny Vulcan gets to bully him for being illogical. They find Kirk tinkering with electrical stuff one day without cutting off the electricity and with bare hands.
“Dad, you are acting with minimal regard for your own safety.”
“Meh.”
